Happy Saturday!
I just had to use all the motivation I had in me to get myself to the gym this afternoon. I ran there as an easy way to get my cardio in – just under 2 miles! Once I got there I quickly programmed this great upper and lower body workout featuring some of my most favorite movements. It’s a great balance of not only upper and lower body but also pushing and pulling as well as front and back body.

I’m pretty crazy about making sure that my workouts (and my clients) are balanced when it comes to everything I discussed above. It’s so important to make sure that you’re mindful of opposing muscle groups as well as pull v. push. I’ll write a post soon giving you examples of how to put these exercises together to build a well-rounded workout.
This workout took me right at 20 minutes. I worked at a steady pace throughout without ever getting to a crazy high intensity level…which is just what I needed today! I was really proud that I was able to kip all of the pull ups and even strung together 5 and 6 at a time most sets.
Give this a try and let me know what you think! Wishing everyone a lovely Easter!
Looking forward to yoga church tomorrow! ๐
I love 10-1 workouts! I also have to be balanced in my workouts….my arms feel out of sync with the rest of my body if I were to have a “leg day”.
I love your website!! I’ve just stumbled on it, and baked your paleo banana bread!! I love crossfit myself, but don’t have that much upper body strength, so I tend to focus on movements or weights that I can manage and challanges me!! I’m deffos incorporating some of your workouts into my gym programme!! Just what I’ve been looking for!! Thanks
Did this workout last week at Metro over lunch and sufficiently (completely) kicked my behind with barbell FS, Banded Pull ups, Box Jumps & Push Ups! ๐ Thanks for the idea!
