Okay, yoga Monday officially kicks off today! I put together a 10-minute stretch video for you that is great to stretch it out post run or workout or just anytime you feel tight and need a quick stretch. These stretches are appropriate for all levels and are simple and straightforward. Because things can never be easy, my DSLR that shoots HD video died in the middle of my first take so I had to refilm it on my iPhone. I was determined to get something done for you today so I apologize that it’s not the best quality but you can still hear and see everything clearly.
Let me know what you think if you try it!
And a quick look at what I’ve been eating lately…all iPhone photos.
Whole Foods hot bar…shrimp and grits, sweet potato hash and a salad.
Vegetable soup and half of a California Club with a side of fruit at Jason’s Deli.
Berry Veggie Naked juice.
Salsa chicken turned tortilla soup in the crock pot.
All fixed up in a bowl with hot sauce, cheese, sour cream, avocado and crushed tortilla chips.
That’s all I’ve got for ya. Happy yoga Monday! 🙂
Thank you for the 10-minute sequence Jen! I’m planning on trying it tonight, but I love how much ground you cover in ten minutes! Looking forward to more in the future!
Just finished the 10 minute stretch, love it! I could feel the tension leaving my body- breathing properly makes a huge difference. Too often I catch myself holding my breath during uncomfortable exercises and stretches.
Thanks so much for putting this together!
Love the video! I lifted today and the stretch was a perfect ending!
Oh shrimp and grits how I love thee! I know strange for a Jersey girl to like grits, but I love them. They would be so perfect now for these freezing temperatures. I NEED THE BEACH! 😉
That croissant sandwich…mmmm. Can’t go wrong. Excited to go through your video tomorrow!
Hi Jen~
Thanks for the great video. Do you have any recommendations for dvds, online videos, etc for someone who can’t get the studio more than twice a week. I’m looking for something that will help me take my yoga to the next level with some more advanced poses.
Thanks so much!
Megan
Couldn’t have been better timing for a stretch video for me! post 6 miler, which is the start of increasing my mileage for 1/2 marathon training. I am terrible about stretching so this video is perfect! Thanks!
I love shrimp and grits, but I’ve never noticed it on the whole foods hot bar. Good find! I love a good 10 minute stretch too, thanks for putting that out there.
This is an awesome video! Thank you for it!
I love the video–great way to wind down from a busy work day. Thank you so much for your awesome blog!
Awesome! Thanks for the stretch 🙂 I wish you could come to Missouri to teach a class! 😉
my goal is to eventually take this show on the road so stay tuned! 🙂
Thanks so much for the video; you seem like such a natural, both on camera and as an instructor!
The video was great thanks so much for posting it!
Hi Jen!
Thanks for the stretch video, I am getting over the flu and went for my first post illness run this morning. Still supertight from a week in bed and 10 minutes was a perfect length of time to get me to try it. Very nice and easy to follow, good stretches in all the places I needed.
Have a great day!
Thanks for the video Jen! It’s 60 and windy here in Kansas City today. I enjoyed a run outside in shorts and short sleeves. Ended my workout with this stretching video. I’m not so good about stretching post-workout and my body pays the price. I love that this was short but hit all of my tight spots! Any suggestions on a quick press-run stretch routine?
Shot Jen! Good job.
