I have received so many requests for yoga videos over the years and given how much I teach, I haven’t done a super great job delivering on that! Today I have a post-workout yoga flow video that’s just 12 minutes and something you can easily tack onto the end of your workout (or workday!) to stretch out and unwind.
In an ideal world I’d like to post a yoga video to YouTube weekly but I’m going to start with a goals of twice a month for now. I’m starting with this post-workout yoga flow video and in the next week or two I have a 30 minute power flow to share as well! It’s already filmed. ๐
12-MINUTE POST-WORKOUT YOGA FLOW VIDEO
This post-workout yoga flow includes a little bit of everything – hip openers, hamstring stretches, backbends, twists and more. It’s a mix of standing and seated poses. Just remember the most important thing is to RELAX and BREATHE!
The format I’m leaning towards for the videos is to film myself (or maybe someone else as I get a little bigger!) doing the flow and then voiceover the teaching so that you can clearly hear it. I’m leaning towards no music on the videos because a) music licensing for good/popular stuff is a nightmare and b) you won’t get sick of listening to the same music if you use the videos multiple times. My thought is that you can either add your own favorite music or choose from one of my hundreds of Spotify playlists. I’d love to hear your thoughts/preferences on this.
For those of you who try this post-workout stretch video, let me know if you found it easy to follow/understand. I’m open to any and all feedback!
When it comes to the yoga videos, I’d also love your take on whether you want to see more power flow, slow flow or deep stretch. I’m also open to prenatal and other special requests so make your requests known! ๐
That’s all for today. Happy stretching!
This was great- just completed it before I head to bed! Iโd love to see more challenging/strength training yoga videos. Iโm 20 weeks pregnant and am finding that most prenatal yoga out there is super low key/relaxing.
I am going to get a more challenging prenatal flow up soon!
Iโd love a prenatal flow! ๐
On it!
I’m very excited about this! I only have thirty minutes on my lunch break to work out, so I usually do 15 minutes of weightlifting and 15 minutes of HIIT or yoga. I’m so happy to add this to the arsenal.
Perfect! Love that you squeeze in a workout on your break!
Prenatal please! Especially one that’s still a bit of a workout!
Yes girl! I’ve got you covered there!
I love the video- did it before and after my run today. Only thing I would ask is if you can slow down a little bit. I am new to yoga and the transitions were a little quick for me. Thanks you so much for doing the video!
Thank you for the feedback! ๐
Yay I’m so excited about this and more yoga videos on the horizon!!! Thank you, Jen!! ๐
I’ll throw my vote in for power flow videos. I have my favorite 60 and 90 minute classes, but a short 30 minute at home video is great for the days when I can’t make it to the studio. Thank you again!! <3
Perfect! I’m posting a power flow this week that is 30 minutes!
Also, I’d like to add a suggestion:
IF you have any favorite instructors and/or at-home platforms, could you share that? When I do practice at home sometimes it takes longer to find a good instructor on youtube or yoga down load than it does to complete the workout!
Just curious if you have any go-tos. ๐
Try Sarah Beth yoga. She has some good videos on YouTube.
Ahhh, unfortunately I do not! ๐
Love this video! Thank you! As a working mom, short workouts are all I can fit into my week. Already did this video today, and Iโm adding it to my weekly routine. I loved the flow of this video, so Iโd love some power videos. ?
YAY! This makes me so happy!
Yay to more videos! I love music with my yoga videos and would definitely vote for power Yoga flows that are somewhere around 30 min. That would be great!
Posting one this week! ๐
Thanks so much for another video! I do the rise and shine flow video at least once a week. I would love similar flow videos about 20 minutes long.
Awesome, thank you for the input!
I’d love to see a postnatal flow. I’m three months postpartum and there are definitely still areas that need special attention. Nursing lots and carrying baby on one side has me in knots!
Thank you! Best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy and upcoming birth ?
Oh great point on a postnatal flow! Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for this, Jen. I just did it before heading to bed and I feel really stretched.
I would love to see a power flow.
Jen!!! This is amazing! I just did this at the end of the day and it was SO perfect. I love that it’s fast-paced and hits every part of the body. THANK YOU! More yoga videos, please! All kinds are good. Would love a good, hard and sweaty one. Also, a restorative would be great! <3
YES! So glad to hear that you enjoyed the flow! ๐
More power flow please! I did one of your videos that you posted a little while ago and lived it! You are a great teacher and that is hard to find. You definitely found your niche:) Thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you for this super nice comment Stephanie! I’ll be posting one this week!
Yay! Thank you!
Very welcome!
