I think I took over 500 pictures over the course of the week we spent in the Dominican Republic for our yoga retreat and vacation. I have quite a few trip posts planned for you in the coming weeks including full resort reviews of both Zoetry Agua Punta Cana and AlSol Tiara Collection Cap Cana.
I thought for today I would just share some of my favorite moments from this year’s retreat and our extended stay.
Arriving at Zoetry! First skinny margarita of vacation.
Practice hydration.
Our favorite practice spot.
The water was GORGEOUS on this trip! I’ve been to Punta Cana three times before this trip over the course of three years and the water has never been this calm or clear.
Teaching my class drop backs one morning. We workshopped a few things during our morning practices. I loved seeing the couples assisting and trusting each other. ๐
Some of the amazing ladies who came with us. We had quite a few people who have come on the retreat every year as well as some new faces. It’s so great to get to know everyone outside of the studio.
Turndown service. Zoetry offers maid service three times a day!
Horseback riding on the beach.
I love horses and haven’t been on one in forever. This was one of my favorite moments of the whole trip. I don’t think I stopped smiling the whole time.
So glad he’s willing to do whatever I sign us up for! ๐
Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and grapes delivered to our room from our travel agent!
Really happy. (Photo Wanda Koch.)
Long sunset walk.
Teaching evening practice. (Photo Wanda Koch)
The whole group (minus a couple) on our last day. Love these people. (Photo Wanda Koch)
Arriving at AlSol Tiara.
Getting distracted by a cheap massage special on the way to the gym. (Which we totally took advantage of. It was like a Jedi mind trick, one minute we were standing outside of the door, the next minute we were face down on a massage table.)
All the necessities.
Sunset practice on our incredible balcony.
More champagne and chocolates, courtesy of the GM at AlSol Tiara who was so kind to us.
Paradise.
The last day.
More trip posts to come! Stay tuned.
Do you prefer a “relaxing lay on the beach” kind of vacation or “packed with excursions?”ย
Favorite beach destination?ย
wow awesome pics ! my fave beach vaca is whitehouse jamaica. the people are awesome. the sunsets are wonderful. themost beautiful beach and water i have ever seen was in bahamas emerald bay but the resort not so much nor the sand fleas ! boy i paid for laying on that beautiful beach !
So excited for all of your retreat-related posts so I can live vicariously through you! Mine is coming up in November and I am so excited/nervous. I definitely prefer lounging over excursions on an all-inclusive type trip.
Oh and that photo of you in the headband is so beautiful. You look so happy!
Looks like an amazing place! Hey I love the floral two piece—please tell me where you got it:)
Looks amazing! Where is that tie dye headband from?!
This was so fun to see! Wow…what a trip! Sounds so fun and looks extra beautiful – thanks for sharing in this post! I like seeing glimpses of more than workouts and nutrition, although those are super inspiring and insightful (as a fellow personal trainer) for me to read. Glad you love your life back home too though – isn’t it great to go away and love that and then come home and love that too?! ๐
Gorgeous!!! I like some beach time… but really love getting in fun activities too! I can only sit still for so long! haha! As long as it’s warm and in the sun… it’s a great vacation in my book.
Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a beautiful place! I would love to go on a yoga retreat like this. I definitely prefer more of a relaxing vacation with a few activities sprinkled in. Glad it was so great Jen!!
OH my goodness!!! THOSE PHOTOS are to.die.for!!!! I want to be there right now!!! looks incredible!
