I had a great week of workouts so I wanted to share them with you. You’ll find a nice little mix of running, strength and yoga and I’m also posting a 28-minute bodyweight tabata workout that I did at home on Wednesday. I ran out of time to make it to the gym before teaching so I rolled out a mat, cranked the music and got to work. You can’t beat bodyweight tabata intervals for a quick workout you can do anywhere!
Monday
5 mile run at 8:25 pace
Beach run. 90 degrees and 70% humidity. This was pretty brutal. On SnapChat I told everyone it was like “hot running” instead of hot yoga.
Tuesday
Sunrise yoga self-practice
Two of the four mornings that I was in Florida I woke up with yoga on the brain. I’m not a first thing in the morning exerciser but something in me felt like I had to practice.
Wednesday
Tabata home workout
Read this post for all the info on why and how to tabata.
Thursday
3.2 mile treadmill interval run + strength
This was my birthday workout! I did a Skyfit treadmill interval workout with lots of sweaty hills and sprints and then some strength work. Pull ups, bench press, deadlifts, ring rows and more. I ended it with a leg press extravaganza. So good.
Friday
Hot yoga
Saturday
4.5 mile run at 8:24 pace
Run with Zoey girl. We had the most gorgeous weather in Charlotte this weekend with cool mornings and low humidity. This run felt effortless!
Sunday
3 mile treadmill interval run + strength
We stayed at the Charlotte Marriott City Center on Saturday night (more on that to come!) and their gym was an experience not to be missed. We woke up on Sunday morning and got in a great workout before brunch. You can check out one of the super sets that I did on Instagram!
My kind of tabata moves! Burpees and jump squats are always the best!
Pinned this workout for later…it looks AWESOME and I cannot wait to give it a go…I need to get back out there and hit the pavement instead of going on the treadmill. Sometimes it is just easier to go on the treadmill, for that extra push…Have a great Monday! 🙂
Tabata-style workouts are my favorite! I find that 20 seconds is a really good length for giving it your all. I feel you with the “hot running”! This summer heat’s been killer for running in. Definitely motivation to stay hydrated.
