I have a quick but effective ab workout to share with you today. I’ve been using it with some of my clients for the last couple of weeks as a warm up/core circuit and I’ve done it myself a few times too. I did it to finish up my workout yesterday and my abs were a little sore today!
The workout utilizes a stability ball. This is something that many people have at home and can be found in any gym. I love using stability balls for a variety of movements, especially core training.
And here is a quick video to demo all of the movements.
This workout burns! I had to stop a few times in the last circuit to lay over the ball and stretch my abs. The toes to bar movement is sneaky hard.
Let me know if you try it!
Here’s a quick recap of my workouts for last week. I was really strapped on time with the new schedule launching at Charlotte Yoga this week on top of a million other things to do so I stayed at the studio to practice a few days before/after I taught and squeezed in 20 minute gym workouts other days. Hope to settle down and get back to running this week.

Do you use the stability ball in your workouts?
I LOVE stability ball knee tucks! I also love holding planks with my forearms resting up on the ball!
I love using the stability ball for wall-sits and planks. It definitely makes planks more challenging when you have your shins/feet on the ball and bring your legs in toward your chest and back out again, if that makes sense!
Dang, Jen look at that schedule! Why are you so lazy?! Lol j/k. Just found your blog and I love it! Thank you for doing what you do and inspiring me to be fit and healthy!
Even though you were time crunched you were definitely able to get in some solid workouts, so that’s nice 🙂 Awesome little medley of work paired together for Thursday. Deadlifts + pull ups is one of my favorite combinations. I’m a fan of stability ball knee tucks. Also been loving TRX knee tucks and pikes.
Hot Yoga sounds so great right now. It’s 35 degrees, and I am trying to get outside and run!
I just love love love the workouts you post. I’m so thankful for them!!! You do such a great job. I can’t get my body up high like yours in the middle exercise but I’ll chalk that up to pregnancy! Thanks so much!
Thank you SO much! 🙂
