March is National Nutrition Month and I have a round-up style post featuring some products that will help you create tasty meals and snacks at home! Fun fact: they’re all plant-based!
Here’s an overview of today’s featured products:
- Coconut Secret Organic Coconut Aminos
- Mighty Sesame Harissa Tahini
- Minute Rice Basmati and Brown Rice & Quinoa Microwaveable Rice Cups
- Nutiva Hazelnut Spread
- RECIPE 33 Infused Almonds
Some of these products I was already familiar with and a fan of but I also got to discover some new favorites!
COCONUT SECRET ORGANIC COCONUT AMINOS
My fridge is never without Coconut Aminos and Coconut Secret is my favorite brand! I use Coconut Aminos as a replacement for soy sauce mainly because they contain 72% LESS SODIUM (seriously!) than soy sauce. They’re also soy-free and gluten-free and have no added sugar. I like the taste of them a lot – slightly sweet and savory with Unami flavor.
Ever since I started using coconut aminos as a replacement for soy sauce, I began to notice that I could enjoy sushi and not feel parched or puffy after eating it. Coconut Secret was the first to bring Coconut Aminos to the to the market. They’re made from coconut blossom sap that’s blended with sea salt. You can use them as a 1:1 replacement for soy sauce and they work perfectly in dishes like stir-fry, marinades, dips, etc.
MIGHTY SESAME HARISSA TAHINI
Tahini is another item that you can always find in my fridge but this was my first time trying squeezable and flavored tahini!
Mighty Sesame Harissa Tahini includes a blend of natural harissa spices that give the tahini a roasted-chili pepper flavor. Each serving has 7 grams of protein and 260 milligrams of calcium. It’s vegan gluten-free and dairy-free.
This tahini is spicy, creamy and a great way to give a kick to so many dishes. I have been enjoying this Harissa Tahini squeezed directly onto roasted vegetables and grain bowls and also whisked together with plain Greek yogurt for a creamy sauce.
I absolutely love the convenience of the squeeze bottle. No stirring – just shake and squeeze. The texture is more sauce-like and very easy to get out of the bottle. Mighty Sesame Tahini is also shelf-stable!
MINUTE MICROWAVEABLE RICE CUPS
These rice cups are the best for days that I want to add grains to a meal but don’t want to wait 25 minutes for them to cook. I find that they come in especially handy at lunch.
I love the Minute Brown Rice & Quinoa microwaveable rice cups as a fast and easy way to add grains to my lunch salad bowls. In just one minute I have a delicious mix of red quinoa and brown rice. Pro tip: I love to add a tablespoon or two of chicken bone broth to the cup before microwaving and then finish it off with a crank of sea salt and a squeeze of lemon juice once it’s cooked.
Y’all know I also love white rice so the Minute Basmati microwaveable rice cups are great too. They make for the perfect base for my dinner bowl creations. Finn loves rice too so when he’s yelling, “mommy, where’s my dinner!?” this is a great side dish I can get on the table quickly!
NUTIVA ORGANIC CLASSIC HAZELNUT SPREAD
Welcome to my new favorite dessert. OMG, this hazelnut spread with cocoa is like the best blend of chocolate frosting and brownie batter. I can eat it by the spoonful or spread it on toast with a sprinkle of sea salt.
The best part? Nutiva Organic Classic Hazelnut Spread features 40% less sugar than the leading brand!!! It’s certified organic, non-GMO and vegan! 10/10 recommend. Must try.
RECIPE 33 INFUSED ALMONDS
If you love flavored almonds but not artificial ingredients or the messy seasoning that gets all over your hands, listen up!
RECIPE 33 developed a proprietary process to take real ingredients and infuse the flavor into each almond without artificial additives or flavors.
They’re available in five delicious flavors:
- Black Truffle
- Smoky Serrano
- Garlic Dill
- Lemon Rosemary
- Cinnamon Vanilla
I’ve been keeping a bag of RECIPE 33 infused almonds in my car for on-the-go snacking. They’re also good for dressing up salads, adding to snack plates or charcuterie boards or sprinkling on top of oatmeal or yogurt bowls.
You can save $2 on any 4-ounce bags with code TryRECIPE33. Shop here.
TO WRAP IT UP
This was a fun round-up to write! I hope you guys enjoyed it too. I can honestly say that I like each and every one of these products and would highly recommend!
Have you ever tried Coconut Aminos?
What are some of your favorite ways to use tahini?
Which of these products would you be most interested in trying? (Who knows, maybe I’ll pick a comment and send the chosen item your way…sneaky giveaway 😉 )
The Nutiva! I love Nutella, but I try not to keep it at my house. So sugary and hard to stop eating straight from the jar!:)
I would love to try the nutiva!
This is a hard question because they all sound delicious! I already know I love coconut aminos so I might have to say the tahini or the nutiva hazelnut spread! I’m always looking for an alternative to Nutella!
Cinammon vanilla almonds sound delish!!
They all look great. I would like to try the almonds and the quinoa cup. Thank you I read your blog often. You are inspirational
I’d love to try the coconut aminos!! I still haven’t made the switch from soy sauce. But wow – over 70% less sodium??
The harissa tahini sounds really good!
RECIPE 33 almonds sound delicious, I’d love to try those or the squeezable tahini!
Show me the Nutiva haha!!! I love Nutella!!! I love reading each and every post about products you share! Thank you!
We like coconut aminos! Our son has celiac, so we use it often. One thing that I thought was cool is that everyone of these options is also gluten free!
Nuts are hard for celiacs, almost all of them have a “may contain wheat “ warning. Major props to 33 for giving the celiac community another safe option!
Fun post!!
Ohhh that chocolate hazelnut spread looks just like something I’d hide from my family and keep for myself!
I need to start using coconut aminos again! That would be my pick for sure:)
Would love to try the harissa tahini! I find that tahini is often hard to get out of the jar so I love the idea of a squeeze bottle
Definitely the chocolate hazelnut spread! Count me in for anything Nutella-ish! Thanks for sharing!
I’d love to try the coconut aminos! I absolutely love sushi, but even the low sodium soy sauce makes me feel boated.
I would love to try the almonds or coconut aminos. I am trying to cut back on sodium and these all sound like great options. I have been plant based for 4 years now and love seeing all of the new variety popping recently!
Some great ideas for new things to try! I’d probably go for that harissa tahini.
I already know I love coconut aminos-so
Maybe the tahini? Or the rice cups (I certainly need quick side dishes at my house!)
Yum, all look delicious. I would love to try the cinnamon vanilla almonds.
The Nutiva spread ~ I love this flavor combo, but not the amount of sugar in the popular brand!! Will be seeking out this brand instead!
Squeezable tahini!? Sign me up!
I buy Tamari instead of soy sauce. But even though I but the lower sodium, it’s still pretty high. Maybe I’ll have to give the coconut aminos a try.
I need to try the coconut aminos instead of soy sauce!
The Nutiva for sure! 🙂
Jumping in with everyone to say the Nutiva sounds delicious, especially your ‘brownie batter’ description!
Squeezable tahini sounds like a game changer!
