Happy Thanksgiving!
I kicked off my morning with a seven mile run.
It was a beautiful morning and the miles felt effortless. I felt so much gratitude to be out in the sunshine and fresh air and able to run without pain.
After my run I unrolled my yoga mat in my parents front yard and did 20 sun salutations – 10 sun As and 10 sun Bs. Thanksgiving Day just didn’t seem right without a little bit of yoga.
For each sun salutation, I focused on something that I was thankful for.
Hope. Brandon. Family. Friends. My parents. My grandmother. My career. Sullie. My students. My teachers. Our home. Sunshine and blue skies. My health. Love. My practice. Possibilities.
And so on. It was the perfect Thanksgiving morning workout combining two things that I love so much.
Pre-workout breakfast was a cinnamon raisin bagel with peanut butter and honey.
I was up until midnight last night baking the sweet potato cheesecake and this morning has been a pie extravaganza. My dad did the cranberry apple and I did the chocolate pecan. I am off to shower and then get back in the kitchen to get the feast going.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Love. Eat. Feel Gratitude.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING Jen! What a perfect start to the day 🙂
P.S. I want your chocolate pecan pie!!
Happy Thanksgiving Jen. You are on my “thankful for” list. Give Brandon a hug for me!

I did 7 miles on Thanksgiving morning too 🙂 Seemed like a good way to rev my metabolism so that I could squeeze in as much food as possible.
