How can you not smile when you get to look at this face all day?
Please look at those paws. I need to take her in for a trim but I love her little slipper feet so much.
Today was a better day than yesterday.
Starting with a new nut butter at breakfast this morning. Reginald’s sent me some of their nut butters to sample. This morning I tried the cinnamon molases cashew butter. This was the first time I have had cashew butter and I loved it! The texture and taste were great. I am looking forward to trying the nana honey peanut butter too! All of their products feature real fruit and natural extracts and include no added salt or preservatives. I love all of the creative flavors they offer.
I spread the cashew butter on cinnamon raisin toast and topped it with a banana.
I taught my normal Sunday morning yoga class and brought them popsicles for a treat. I think they kinda loved me for it. I covered another 90-minute hot class this afternoon for another instructor and after three hours of teaching and sweating in a hot room, I was totally wiped out but in a good way.
I came home between classes for a quick brunch. I made an omelet with two eggs, goat cheese, spinach, basil, tomatoes and smoked salmon.
A couple of hours after teaching the afternoon class I finally got up the energy to go for a run. Sullie was desperate for some exercise and I wanted to get some fresh (not 100-degree sweaty yoga studio) air. We only ran three miles but it felt really good.
Dinner after the run was a spinach salad and brown rice pasta with chicken sausage, mushrooms, sundried tomates, marinara sauce, parm and basil.
I needed frozen yogurt tonight. This was the first time I’ve had it in months and it was everything I dreamed it would be.
Hope y’all had a good end to your weekend too.

Your dog is the cutest. Seriously.
I also loved your post yesterday and I’m so glad you posted it. This winter I really faced the part of myself that is a people pleaser and often a doormat. That necessitated me having to let go of 2 friendships I’ve had for almost 20 years. It wasn’t dramatic or crazy or anything but I had to face that these 2 women often take advantage of me and don’t treat me the way I would like to be treated. It’s been liberating but also difficult and I have doubted myself and my ego and I needed a lot of help – from my yoga teacher, husband, other friends. So thank you for posting your own grief and doubt and anxiety. It really helped me so much.
It’s official, I need a “Sullie” in my life. Looks like a wonderful way to round out the week.

That nut butter looks absolutely delicious! I wonder if I can pick a jar up at a store near me. Yum!
Ahhh I cant imagine 3 hours of hot yoga…you are awesome hha!
Yes it is seriously impossible to not grin ear to ear when you own a golden retriever! So glad that you had a wonderful Sunday. I can only take Kala for 3 mile runs these days. She’s getting older and I’m usually pulling her by the end, so we are just sticking to long walks and throwing the tennis ball. 🙂 Have a great start to the new week!
I love seeing pictures of sweet Sullie! I have an extra sweet Golden Retriever named Duke. And I really enjoy your inspiring food and workout posts! Thanks so much.
The paws are adorable!
Those are the sweetest puppy feet ever! She seems like such a love bug. And the molasses cashew butter sounds divine- I love molasses!
