Happy Friday and happy Veteran’s Day!
I missed updating yesterday because my afternoon/evening was slammed with fun activities. I collapsed into bed without even turning my computer on when I finally made it home around 11 p.m.
I met Brandon for a lunch date at Owen’s Bagel & Deli. It is one of our favorite lunch spots and we had a Living Social that was expiring. Owen’s specializes in bagel sandwiches and they’re extra good because they steam them. It makes the bagels soft and warm and the cheese super melty. Yum!
I always order the hummus bagel but decided to switch it up and get egg, cheese and avocado on whole wheat. Egg + avocado + cheese is one of my all-time favorite combos.
We split a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. I have a serious weakness for cookies when I’m at sandwich shops. (Well, actually I have a weakness for cookies pretty much all the time. 😉 )
I spent the rest of my afternoon/early evening decked out in holiday gear doing yoga.
Yes, you read that right. We had a really fun holiday shoot with Wanda Koch for the studio. There were all kinds of fun props…and wine!
I cannot wait to see the professional pics. We had a great time and took some pretty creative shots!
After the shoot I rushed off to another yoga event – a reunion dinner at Cantina with my teacher training group.
I immediately dove into the chips and continued wine consumption! 😛
Cantina has the best homemade salsa and we also ordered table side guacamole to share.
For dinner I ordered the chopped salad with shrimp. It included romaine, corn, cotija cheese, chickpeas, jicama, roasted red pepper, cucumbers and chipotle ranch. It was delicious and I think I set a record for avocado consumption yesterday.
And I’m off to tackle this busy Friday! Hope everyone has a great day!

The bagel combo looks delish! Never thought of avocado and an egg together in a sandwich, will definitely be trying this soon.

Ahh! I just freaked out a little bit- my cousin and her husband opened and used to own Owen’s Bagel and Deli! Small world!
