Today was a bit random. Especially in the food department. I really only had one true meal and the rest of the day was spent snacking/grazing. This is really unlike me – I am a scheduled, three square meals kind of girl. But it worked today so I just went with it!
I started out the morning with a hot yoga class at Y2. I try not to eat anything within two hours of a class but I knew I wouldn’t make it through this morning without a little something in my system. I went with a slice of toasted Dakota bread from Great Harvest with a little Justin’s Honey Almond Butter.
I was starving after yoga and whipped up a breakfast inspired lunch for us.
One egg over medium, strawberries, watermelon, a Morningstar vegetarian sausage patty and half of a slice of toast with pear butter.
And this is where normal eating ended for the day…we headed to the pool at the Y for the afternoon. While we were there we talked about how good a post-pool trip to Yoforia would be. It was pretty much necessary! ๐
His v. hers. Can you guess? Brandon’s is on the left and weighed in at a whopping 15 ounces! Mine is on the right and came in at about 8 ounces.
My bowl contained a little bit of plain tart, cheesecake, vanilla and pomegranate. Topped with strawberries, coconut, Oreos, chocolate chips and caramel. Amazing. I am pretty much obsessed with Yoforia.
Since we missed our movie Friday night we decided to go this evening. We saw Get Him to the Greek. We love Forgetting Sarah Marshall and were so excited about this movie. It was very funny but we both think we still like Forgetting Sarah Marshall more. While we were in the movie we snacked on mixed nuts and Jolly Rancher Soft & Chewy Candy (brought from home).
The movie got out at 9:30 and neither of us were very hungry but knew we needed to eat something. It was every man for himself in the kitchen.
I had leftover grilled veggies from last night’s dinner (squash and eggplant) with a mozzarella cheese and honey mustard. I ate it soft taco style.
And since I published last night’s post before dinner here are a few snapshots.
Grilled squash, zucchini and eggplant with olive oil, salt, pepper and fresh herbs from our garden!
My dinner plate with grilled veggies, French baguette and a small serving of steak. A nice bottle of J. Lohr Cabernet on the side. I had not eaten steak in over six months and I really enjoyed it last night. Brandon does such a great job with it on the grill.
Off to bed…up early to teach BodyPump in the morning!
We are getting a Yoforia within walking distance from our house! I cannot wait!
Love the new blog – you’re doing such a great job!
Thank you so much for the compliments on the new blog. It’s an undertaking but getting positive feedback keeps me going! ๐ You will LOVE Yoforia. It’s seriously just amazing.
I love the differences in the yogurt, too cute! I think I saw you running on Park Road on Saturday (around noon)! I was going to honk but I didn’t want to take you out of your stride. Let me know if you go to a yoga class this week, maybe we can meet up then…if not sometime soon!
Brandon was so proud of his yogurt creation – he even said, “oh – take a picture of mine!” That was definitely me running on Park Road Saturday. It was sooo hot out! Would love to go to meet up for yoga this week – will email/facebook you.
