Today was a “working Sunday” but it was all fun work so I can’t complain!
I knew I was in for a long day so I wanted to get a substantial breakfast in. I made a big pot of banana oatmeal and then poured it into the end of a Justin’s Maple Almond Butter jar. I haven’t been home to cook oatmeal for breakfast in weeks so I really enjoyed this.
After breakfast and last minute finalization of class plans + playlists, I headed to Y2 to teach the 9:15 hot class. I had to report to Fight Gone Mad to get set up for our second boot camp as soon class was over. I was in charge of programming today!
Enter running, wall walk ups and everything challenging I could think of. (What is your least favorite exercise to do? I’ll add it next time! Kidding…sort of. ;))
Walking lunges holding a 12 pound ball overhead? Perfect. 😛
After boot camp, I grabbed a smoothie from Healthy Home Market to get me through my afternoon yoga practice (day 13!) and a late afternoon personal training client. I went with the Strawberry Shortcake and it was awesome. Not too sweet and very almond buttery.
When I finally arrived home around 6 I made a snack of edamame with kosher salt and got started on dinner.
We were feeling ethnic and decided on Chicken Tikka Masala. Served with jasmine rice and whole wheat naan.
I couldn’t sleep so I got up to make tea and work on this blog post. I need to try the sleep thing again because I have an early morning BodyPump class and training client tomorrow.
Awesome day of eating, as usual 🙂
justin’s maple almond butter is my favorite! And I love indian food that tikka masala looks delicious!
Do a lot of gyms in the US do really early morning classes? In the uk they tend to be 9-11 and then 6-9. I don’t know many gyms that do dead early or mid day classes. x
Burpees with a push up is my most hated exercise.
@Shenley, all of the gyms that I work at here in the US do early morning classes. Typically around 5 am and/or 6am (I teach 6am cycle on Tuesdays). People like to come to those so they can still have time to shower and get ready for work at 8am 🙂 One gym I work at has lunch time classes because people will come and workout during their lunch break.
OMG look at those back and shoulder muscles! All the teaching and taking classes really shows!
I can’t stand pushbox! oh my goodness it’s tough.
