Welcome to Peanut Butter Runner. I’m Jen and I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am a personal trainer, yoga teacher, fitness blogger and published author. In September 2011 I left a six-year career in marketing and advertising (read the story) to pursue fitness, yoga and writing as my full-time work. For the last 10 years, my work has looked like teaching yoga and fitness classes, leading yoga teacher trainings and writing this blog…and I love it! In January 2021 I launched a new online fitness and yoga platform, Fit Revolution. Check it out!
My most important job is mom to my son, Finn. He was born in May 2018 and has changed my life in all the best ways. I enjoyed writing about my pregnancy journey on my blog – you can read all about it, trimester by trimester, including my postpartum experience.
I’m now sharing motherhood not in a traditional “mom blog” way but rather through my lens of how I’m balancing my career, fitness and cooking and eating well with caring for Finn as a single mom.
I am passionate about empowering women around their strength – physical, emotional and spiritual. I believe in sharing openly and honestly, both through the highs and lows of life. My goal through my work is to help others feel more at home in their bodies and hearts and to fully embrace the infinite power, love and belonging that lives within all of us.
I published two books in 2015, Ultimate Plank Fitness: 101 Plank Exercises for a Strong Core, Killer Abs…and a Killer Body and The Complete Guide to Yoga Inversions: Learn How to Invert, Float and Fly with Inversions and Arm Balances. Both are available for purchase from Amazon and major retailers.
I started Peanut Butter Runner in 2010 and I blog about a variety of topics including (but not limited to…you never know what you might read here!) what I’m eating, recipes, workouts, running, general fitness/exercise topics, yoga, life balance, career development and my life with Finn and my two pups, Zoey and Benji.
And yes…I eat a lot of peanut butter. It’s a daily requirement around here. 🙂
