Hi and hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I’m in Georgia visiting with my family. My parents are in town this weekend so I decided to come too.
I was thinking that I do a lot of product reviews but not a lot of follow ups. I wanted to do a post today on several products I’ve reviewed this year and what my continued thoughts/results have been and whether I’m still using them.
Suave Professionals Moroccan Argon Oil Body Lotion and Dry Oil Spray. I just finished the last of the big bottle of body lotion and I will definitely purchase it again. Mainly because I enjoy the scent so much and the lotion is very hydrating. I haven’t used the dry body oil as much.
Yogi Clothing Shirred Cropped Pants and Pocket Hoodie. It’s gotten too warm to wear the hoodie but I wear these crops on the regular and always receive compliments on them. I even wore them for one of the “looks” for my book photo shoot.
ALDI! Yes, I am still shopping at ALDI. I would say I go once every 4-6 weeks to restock on my favorite staples. Working with ALDI this year was really awesome and it 100% converted me to a brand enthusiast as well as many of my friends and readers!
Latisse. When I first started using Latisse I felt like I saw some results but it kind of tapered off after that and I never experienced the “wow, my lashes are so long and full” that I’d heard from many others. I’m still using it and I’ll keep you updated if anything changes for me. Has anyone else had this experience with Latisse?
Jane Iredale Mineral Foundation. Love, love, love. Use it every day along with my Image MD tinted moisturizer my favorite Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer. I’m pretty obsessed with my current skincare routine and it’s working so well for me.
Update on giving up the flat iron and new hair products. In June I swore off the flat iron for the summer and purchased a new blow dryer and hot rollers. So, I have reduced my flat iron use by 90%, which I’m pretty happy with. I am making a conscious effort every time I dry my hair to use a big round brush and attempt to “blow it out” and it’s much smoother and full of volume overall. I love the blow dryer that I purchased and would recommend it to anyone. It’s lightweight, powerful and easy to maneuver. The hot rollers were too big so I went back and exchanged them for a set with varying sizes. I use them when I’m going out or on special occasions.
vitafusion MultiVites Hair, Skin and Nails Support. I started taking these vitamins about 6 weeks ago and I swear that my nails are noticeably stronger and my hair has grown faster (this may also be thanks to not using the flat iron as much!). My bottle is empty and I’m buying them again!
St. Ives Fresh Hydration Continuous Spray Lotion. This stuff is awesome, especially for my gym bag. Cannot recommend enough!
Have you discovered any new products via my blog? What type of product reviews/giveaways do you want to see more or less of? And let me know if you want follow ups about anything not listed above!
Jen, I love your blog and can’t wait for your book to debut! Do you know when?
I will definitely give the foundation you mentioned a try! Sounds great!
Also, I’ve heard that once you stop Latisse eyelashes revert back. I really want to try it but I’m scared bc heard about the darkening of the eyelid side effect.
As for any products I love at the moment: coconut oil! I use it as my nighttime moisturizer!
Thank you for posting a follow up! Sometimes I wonder if bloggers actually continue to use the products they review after the fact and I appreciate you addressing this!
I like to buy milk, eggs, olives and some vegetables and fruit from Aldi. It means an extra grocery store trip, but it’s worth it.
I cannot find those vitamins anywhere! I find the brand, but not the specific one for hair, skin, & nails. Any suggestions on where to find them?
I love the St. Ives lotion. I bought it after you mentioned it on the blog. I’ve got to try those gummy vitamins as well. Hope you are having a great weekend with your family!
I love this follow up post! I’m going to be looking for those vitamins because my nails and hair could always use support.
I also appreciate hearing about the hair dryer. I always wonder what kind of hair dryer to buy and to know that there’s one you like that’s also lightweight is a huge bonus. Thanks!
I love reading about the follow up of products. I’m definitely going to give that Suave Morrocan Oil lotion a try! I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner version, and loved it. And, I agree… It smells amazing. I’ve never heard of the St. Ives lotion, but I’ll keep my eyes open for that one too! Thanks for the recommendations!!
My daughter loves the Suave Morrocan Oil shampoo & conditioner, too.
i will have to try that! i love the smell of the lotion so it’d be great to have that in shampoo/conditioner as well. thanks for the suggestion!
I love this! Thanks for the updates on where you are at with your product use. My mom and mother-in-law were both already obsessed with ALDI, so when I saw your blog post about the company I had to share and it made me hop there much more often too!
