I’m having a dance party over here at my desk listening to the four-hour playlist I just put together that compiles all of my favorite workout songs from 2017. This year I was super dedicated to putting together regular playlists for you guys to help you through your runs and gym sessions – I hope you used them and enjoyed them!
For today’s post I wanted to bring all my favorite jams together into one playlist PLUS highlight some of my favorite workouts from 2017. Hopefully you’ll find this post to be a great resource to motivate you to start off 2018 strong on the workout front!
BEST WORKOUT SONGS OF 2017 SPOTIFY PLAYLIST
Okay, go ahead and navigate over to Spotify, follow this playlist and start listening to it as you read through the rest of this post. I guarantee that you’ll be feeling psyched up to go try the workouts once you start listening! 🙂
Also, just a reminder that you can listen to it straight through but I really love to hit “shuffle play,” especially since there’s over four hours of music here.
BEST WORKOUTS OF 2017
I love sharing workouts and hopefully I can do even more of this in 2018! I’m ALWAYS open to special requests or feedback on what you’d like to see more/less of. I’m here to help YOU feel your best and your strongest so don’t hesitate to let me know what you need.
30-MINUTE, 3+ MILE HILL AND SPRINT TREADMILL WORKOUT
If you find me on the treadmill, you can be almost certain that I’m doing some sort of interval workout. Here is a 30-minute treadmill workout that blends hill and sprint intervals and will absolutely fly by!
TOTAL BODY DUMBBELL STRENGTH WORKOUT
Dumbbell workouts always tend to be super popular and this one will give you a total body strength challenge.
100 REP CORE WORKOUT
I love the 100 rep scheme of this core workout and often teach variations of it in my classes. This is a great little core workout to add onto the end of gym workouts or runs!
33-MINUTE TOTAL BODY DUMBBELL WORKOUT
Get all the details on this workout in this post. It’s one my strength classes loved this year!
TOTAL BODY TABATA BLAST
I’m a big fan of short, intense bursts when it comes to HIIT training and I think tabata is my favorite way to do it! I have a lot of tabata workouts on my site but most are bodyweight only. This one includes dumbbells for a little more strength focus.
30-MINUTE TEMPO + HILL ENDURANCE WORKOUT
30-minute treadmill workouts are my favorite because you can knock out a quick 3-4 miles and then still have 30-40 minutes to lift when you’re at the gym. This one is focused more on longer intervals to help you with endurance.
20- or 30-MINUTE 4-3-2-1 STRENGTH WORKOUT
The last workout I’ll share is this 4-3-2-1 workout. I love to use this time format to program all sorts of different workouts. This one is 4 minutes compound, 3 minutes unilateral, 2 minutes core and 1 minute HIIT burst. It’s a great workout!
WANT EVEN MORE WORKOUTS?
Don’t forget that I have a whole page dedicated to workouts and you can search through them based on category!
TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE IN 2018!
When it comes to workouts, what do you want to see in 2018? Speak your needs! 🙂
That dumbbell workout might just have to happen tomorrow morning. Thanks Jen!
Jenn I have to tell you I love your blog!! Your content is amazing and you still have such a personal approach. I also lost my brother recently and your post on grief is spot on. It never gets better it changes slightly so your brain can process. Thank you so much for all your hard work and commitment to being honest and real!! As a fitness instructor it is refreshing to how you live a balanced life!!
Thanks for sharing these! I’m going to try and get my boyfriend to do one of them with me tomorrow morning!!
I thought I read all your posts over the past year but I don’t remember seeing the dumbbell workouts so thanks for resharing them. I’m always looking for total body dumbbell workouts so I would love to see more of these. Happy New Year!
I love this blog so much and it is always one of the first websites I visit when I am searching for a workout. I too, love the total body dumbbell workouts and also love the upper body and lower body splits with some cardio thrown in. Thank you for being such a great resource and continuing to be you!!
Hi Jen – I love the content on your blog. Your recipes are delicious (I think I’ve made spiced chicken of some sort 10x since I’ve found it this year) and your strength workouts are effective and keep me interested. I would love some treadmill interval workouts especially for the winter months. Treadmill workouts always work up a great sweat for me but it’s hard for me to find ones that are challenging but still doable. Thank you!
Listening to your playlist and it’s bomb! Happy 2018 Jen! You are going to have a great one meeting your little boy! Xox
