My BodyPump class was rocking tonight!
We had about 40 participants – amazing! I’m so happy that the January crowd is sticking around (plus all of my awesome regulars!). It’s been great. There was one minor bump in the road…I got all suited up with my belt and mic, got the class in set position and went to hit play on the CD player and realized that there was nothing in there. I left my music in the car. I had to sprint out of class to go get it but luckily everyone was forgiving despite my starting class a couple minutes late. ๐ณ
I taught BodyPump 76 again and I liked it even more the second time around. I think triceps are my favorite in this release.
I had two fun visitors tonight. Meg and Mimi from Lululemon. I love having their smiling faces in class and they were so nice to stay after and give two of my favorite regulars a little something to test.
And Tracy and Jessica were so sweet to humor me and take a picture even though we were all kind of gross from class!
Brandon and I had plans to meet friends for dinner this evening so I headed over to Lebowski’s after class.
We enjoyed dinner, drinks and conversation with Lelia and Matt.
My dinner shots didn’t turn out beautifully but I had a caprese sandwich and a salad. I haven’t seen Lelia since before Christmas so it was great to catch up!
Since I don’t have a dinner picture for you, here is today’s lunch.
Leftover Greek-inspired quinoa over spinach and topped with feta, greek yogurt and hummus. Pear slices on the side.
Happy Friday! What do you guys have going on this weekend? I have another weekend of yoga teacher training!
I always worry about forgetting music when I go to teach, ahhh!
thank goodness it was in my car!
hopefully some good restaurants and two awesome exercise classes i’m psyched to try out!! ๐ looks like a great class (your body pump!)
Sara
Sara – enjoy the classes. It’s always fun to try new ones! I wish I was checking out the NYC restaurant scene this weekend – jealous! Hope you’re not too buried in snow.
I need to find a gym that teaches Body Pump!
This Saturday night I’m having dinner with my husband, parents and aunt & uncle at the Oak Room in Boston and then celebrating my mother in law’s birthday on Sunday! ๐
I’ll have to try BodyPump soon. Looks like an amazing workout.
Quinoa over spinach is just ridiculously yummy.
Have a great weekend of yoga training! Sounds wonderful ๐
Thank you for you love of Body Pump post a few weeks or maybe months back. It was just the push I needed to get back to a BP class. I had taken a very long break from BP before and after I had my son. Then I got back into running, but was still bad about weight training. So with your encouragement I put aside my fears of the soreness the first few classes were sure to bring and jumped back in. It feel so good and I remember why I use to love BP classes so much. Even though I am tired at the end of the day it stills feels better to hit the gym and BP than to just plop on the couch. Thanks!
Erin – you don’t know how happy it makes me to hear that I helped encourage you to get back to class. I agree that sometimes it can be hard to get yourself into a routine with strength training but the results always pay off! I’m glad you’re feeling good and enjoying class!
Spring cleaning and dinner w/ friends tonight and tomorrow night. And hot yoga on Sunday afternoon! Hope you have a fabulous weekend at yogi training!
it was such a treat! big thank you to meg and mimi and i will def be getting back to them. i can’t wait to do my long run this weekend in some new gear. btw my triceps were talking to me during my swim this am. body pump always pays off.
Jessica – so glad I could grab you at the end of class. I’m emailing you about about another event that I’d like to see if your interested in too. Happy to hear your triceps were feeling the workout. I love that tricep track. I need to get back in the pool soon. I haven’t done laps in forever!
I ran the marine corp marathon and its been hard for me to actually enjoy running. I tried to keep doing it, but now I’m just so burnt out that I’m trying more strength training (P90X). What are your thoughts on the program? I’ve actually enjoyed not going outside into the cold to run. I’m not a big yoga person…first time trying it with the P90X program.
One day I would love to teach classes, you are awesome! Have a great weekend ๐
Thank you! Teaching is so much fun! Hope you have a wonderful weekend too! ๐
Ahhh! I recognize that Gym!! That’s the CK Y! I work at the Y myself as a health educator here in Charlotte (Dowd), so crazy that I just came across your blog!!!!
Allison – so happy you found me! I teach at CK and I’m on a weekend rotation at the Dowd. Hopefully our paths will cross sometime soon!
