I have been a little out of my regular routine this week…eats/workouts/etc.
First, I’ve been on a bagel eating roll. I never crave bagels. I’m usually all about oatmeal or Greek yogurt in the morning.
A whole wheat bagel with honey almond cream cheese and coffee with a friend Thursday morning.
And a honey whole wheat bagel with veggie cream cheese, coffee and orange juice post-run this morning.
Speaking of running…
I’m on a three-day running streak…which is probably not the smartest thing given the issues I usually have with my hips and hamstrings but so far, so good. It would help if I got a new pair of shoes. These were past their prime months ago but I didn’t really care because I was running so infrequently.
Wednesday was 4 miles on the treadmill, Thursday was 3.5 miles on the treadmill + a weights circuit and this morning was a 5K run with the sunrise.
It was a beautiful morning for a run with temperatures right around 60 degrees. Hard to believe that it’s just two days before Christmas.
My early morning run was an effort to atone for the sins of last night. 😛
I met a friend for happy hour and we proceeded to make dinner out of margaritas, chips and a delicious assortment of dips.
And now I’m trying not to be distracted by this cuteness. I have so much work to do!
Happy Friday!
Such a pretty sunrise pic! I need new running shoes badly, too. Hopefully Santa brings me some. Hope the running keeps going well 🙂 Merry Christmas Eve Eve!
i’m hoping that santa brings me some too! 🙂
merry christmas eve eve to you too!
Jen, your blog is such a joy to read! I ran my first marathon at the MCM this year and love seeing your MCM gear. 🙂 A very Merry Christmas and prosperous and healthy 2012 to you and your family!
thanks kerry! congrats on running your first marathon. isn’t mcm the best!? i would love to run it again in the next few years!
merry christmas and happy new year to you too!
Happy Friday! Great job on the runs 😀
Glad you are feeling better. It’s no fun to be sick during the holidays.
thanks nicole! merry christmas!
I feel like whenever I go out for a margarita, I end up making dinner out of the chips and dips too! So much fun every now and then.
Those bagels look delish! I haven’t craved bagels in awhile – like you, I have pretty regular breakfast cravings (mine usually go towards bananas and PB). Maybe that’s because in high school I’d eat three bagels a day during my shifts at our local bagel shop (carb overload!)
Happy holidays to you and the family 🙂
I totally crave bagels. I like anything with bread 🙂
That guacamole looks awesome! Salty chips + Salt Margs are a killer Happy Hour treat! I have a hot Vinyasa class planned bright and early tomorrow morning and then “hopefully” a long run Christmas morning, to just stay on track, loosen up, and then enjoy lots of good food and wine. Happy Friday and Merry Christmas!
