This week passed in a flash and I feel like I haven’t really had a chance to catch up with you guys. My days have been busy with Finn but also with my return to teaching yoga, blog projects and putting the finishing touches on the materials for the first weekend of my 200-hour yoga teacher training. The training starts on Friday and I am very excited to meet the group and get things kicked off! I’m feeling lots of butterflies but in the best way.
A few photos from the week…
Two things to note here. 1) Finn wore jeans for the first time on Monday! They are from Gymboree and I personally think he looked ridiculously cute. 2) I attribute his holding on to mom and fretful face to the fact that we were at the doctor for his 4 month shots. He did okay after them…a little fussy on and off…and we were up in the middle of the night with a fever. Luckily, he was back to normal by Tuesday.
Zoey loves all the baby things. She is constantly lying on his play mats and stealing his Wubanubs and toys. One day she even tried to curl up in the DockATot like it was a dog bed. Haha.
I baked sourdough today, I gifted one loaf to a friend and kept one for myself. I always eat that first fresh slice with butter or butter and jam. YUM.
Lots of walking with the crew.
Okay, Binxy Baby sent me one of their baby shopping hammocks and I am obsessed. Finn loves it too. We got SO many comments on it in Whole Foods today. It’s so much better than lugging the car seat in because a) Finn has freedom to look around and is more entertained and b) I have space for my groceries in my cart!
I was at Whole Foods to pick up some groceries for this weekend. I booked a room with a mini-fridge and a microwave so that I can eat/pack meals in my room. I am taking Finn with me so I don’t want to be driving around looking for food on my lunch breaks or after long days of training. I did a ton of food prep tonight and have everything ready to go! I also picked up lots of snacky stuff. ๐
A chocolate, pretzel and salted caramel cupcake in bed tonight. I am still brushing crumbs out of the sheets! Oops.
I hope y’all have had a great week. I cannot wait to share details with you on my first teacher training weekend. I can’t believe I am finally leading my own 200-hour! Please send me lots of good vibes.
Tell me one good/happy thing about your week.
Do you ever pack food for work travel?
I love the puppy dog eyes in the cupcake photo. I am a flight attendant and pack 3-4 days worth of food in a cooler with me. In fact I just prepped your braised red cabbage recipe to have with rice and veggie burgers!
That’s awesome that you do that Anna! Do you have a cooler that you would recommend?
Finn is just the cutest!! I wish I had that Binxy baby when mine was that little, i need to remember that if I ever have another one. Lugging the carseat was a pain. Good luck and have fun this weekend ๐
Yes, that car seat is HEAVY and takes up the whole cart!
I travel frequently for work to small towns that don’t have many options (usually just country cooking and fast food). I struggle with digestive issues as it is and traveling and eating garbage food on top of that makes them worse, so I always bring my own. I meal prep weekly since it’s just me and I work on the more blue collar side of town (zero healthy options) so it’s normal for me to eat out of a Tupperware container!
Finn looks so happy in the cart and Zoey is killing me on the play mat!
I totally get it! I always feel so much better when I eat food I’ve made at home versus eating out…no matter what type of food it is! Especially when you’re eating like 3 meals out a day…ick! That’s awesome that you’ve found a good groove of prepping your own food and traveling with it!
Finn is just the cutest and so are the girls!! โค๏ธ Have a fantastic time the weekend! Youโve got this ???
Best thing from my week was leaning one of my friends is pregnant with a BOY!! I am so excited for her and canโt wait to go crazy buying gifts and using suggestions from you!
Thanks so much for the encouragement! And that is so exciting about your friend. Baby boys are the sweetest but of course I am biased! ๐
I am obsessed with baby jeans! Cutest thing ever!! ?
Best part of my week was celebrating my fur babyโs 1st Birthday! Especially watching her face when eating cake ? ???
I like to pack Quest bars when I travel for work. Half the time I donโt even eat them but I like knowing I have a snack or breakfast always on hand.
Sending positive vibes for a great teacher training weekend!
Baby jeans are pretty freaking cute! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your pup! Dog birthdays are the best…and so glad you gave her cake! ๐
You are going to do amazing at TT and your students donโt know how lucky they are!
THANK YOU Catherine! I appreciate your love and support so much.
Wishing you the best of luck on your teacher training weekend! Your light will fill that room.
Thank you so much Erin. I am so lucky to have such great support and for this opportunity!
Good luck! I’m a long time reader and can remember you blogging about going through your own 200 hour YTT.
Thanks Fiona! Yes, crazy to think that was nearly 8 years ago and here I am leading my own. It’s such an amazing opportunity!
I think he’s ridiculously cute, too!
That baby hammock is awesome! Wish I would have had one of those when my babies were still babies.
Best of luck with your TT!!!
Thanks Tracy! I think so too but I’m biased. The hammock is the sweetest thing! So glad that we have it.
