5 a.m. – alarm
5:05 a.m. – make it out of bed to let Sullie out, make a shot of espresso and get dressed for the gym. For whatever reason, this was an especially tough morning for me and I was SO tired.
5:30 a.m. – the girls (I took both of them today!) and I arrive at the gym to train my first client. They hang out at the front desk.
6:30 a.m. – train second client
7:15 a.m. – home and despite a mile long to-do list, I get in bed and take a nap for an hour. I wouldn’t have been productive or survived the day without it. 99.9% of the time once I’m up, I’m up and I don’t nap but I needed it today.
8:30 a.m. – get up for the second time and make a tropical green smoothie topped with Nature’s Path Organic Carrot Cake Granola and feed puppies.
9:15 a.m. – teach hot vinyasa at Charlotte Yoga.
11:15 a.m. -1:30 p.m. – tons of holiday work for Metro. I had to make fliers for all three gyms for our holiday schedules and also worked on website sliders, facebook covers and other stuff like that.
1:30 p.m. – lunch. A salad with spinach, arugula, turkey, avocado, walnuts, roasted sweet potatoes, dried cranberries, apple cinnamon goat cheese and a sesame ginger vinaigrette.
2:15 p.m. – Metro management team meeting
3:15 p.m. – Metro website work posting holiday schedules to all three sites
3:45 p.m. – workout. Treadmill intervals, chest and shoulders.
4:45 p.m. – home to take care of pups, answer emails, order Christmas presents online, rinse off after workout, etc.
5:45 p.m. – teach hot vinyasa at Charlotte Yoga (message is on self-care and not going into 2015 run down)
7:15 p.m. – home
Zoey gets a bath, I take another shower (I just live in a constant state of dogs, sweat and hot yoga) and I get settled in for the night.
I had hopes of making Green Coconut Curry for dinner but defaulted to a cheese plate instead because I had a lot of work to wrap up.
8:30 p.m. – write and send out three eblasts to all the Metro Fitness CLT members about holiday hours.
9:45 p.m. – edit photos and write this blog post
10:15 p.m. – hit publish on blog post and call it a day. Know what was missing from this day? My book! Holiday is such a crazy time. Luckily, I have a lot of time carved out for it over the weekend.
Annndddd…now it’s time for bed. Tomorrow will be my only day of the week with no 5:30 a.m. client. Thank you god.
How are you taking care of yourself this holiday season? Even though my day was crazy busy, I made it a priority to carve out 45 minutes to workout. I have been really bad about that lately but I felt so much better after.
I recently started a new job as a personal trainer and life has been crazy busy! It’s been a real adjustment from my previous desk job but I love it. Even when life is crazy I’m like you, I need to make time for my workouts. Even if it makes waking up at 4am. I need that me time to get a good sweat!
What a packed day! Sounds like a busy time for you, but then again it always seems like a busy time for you! 😉 I hope you have some time soon to enjoy the holidays and get some quality rest and relaxation.
Have a great Friday!
I just love how your days are packed with stuff! Even though, I’m sure it’s crazy and can be stressful, I think it would be fun to just keep go-go-going! I feel like I want that right now, haha! My lazy winter break is nice, but I like to have things to do to!
Great outlook to try to not drag all the craziness into 2015. Starting fresh and ready for positivity. On a different note, I love cheese plates but I never really know what goes together….can u write a post on different combos to include wine? Thanks girl!
My goodness! Your schedule is always filled to the brim, you seem to manage it all so well. I admire your drive and that you still live in the moment. And I LOVE your pups! Anyhow, can you recommend some yoga dvd’s for home practice? Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas!
