4:55 a.m. – alarm goes off. Check phone in bed until second alarm goes off at 5 a.m.
I get up to train clients at 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. Sullie stays in bed. This is the regular for her. She never gets up until I get home from my morning gym sessions and then she’s ready to go out and eat breakfast. Girl loves her sleep.
5:30 a.m. – train client
6:30 a.m. – train client
7:30 a.m. – home with Sullie. Take her for a 30 minute walk
8:15 a.m. – shower, breakfast, get ready for work
8:45 a.m. – leave for work and stop at Not Just Coffee on the way in
Not Just Coffee serves pour over coffee and it’s delicious. I also picked up a green juice from Luna’s Living Kitchen.
9:15 a.m. – 10 a.m. – Run Charlotte Run work
10:10-10:30 a.m. – Call with my editor about my SECOND book! 🙂
10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. – Run Charlotte Run work. I produced this post and video today. FUN!
1:15 p.m. – home to let Sullie out and eat lunch. Publish my Run Charlotte Run post while eating. Prep for rest of afternoon.
2:30 p.m. – Metro Management Team meeting
3:30 p.m. – train a PT client
4:45 p.m. – time for my workout!
I’m all about the running lately. I hopped on the treadmill and did a five mile run. The first mile was an easy warm up, the next 10 minutes were heavy hill intervals, the next 10 minutes were speed intervals and the last mile and a half was an easy run. I am SO HAPPY that running 5-6 miles feels easy again.
6 p.m. – Teach yoga
This Danielle LaPorte quote was my message. I have been trying to redirect my focus lately on how I want my life to feel v. how I think it should look. Looking is all good but you have to live with the feeling 24/7.
7:30 p.m. – grocery for baking supplies
8-9:30 p.m. – baking projects
I made blueberry muffins.
And triple chocolate brownies for some friends! 🙂
9:30 p.m. – dinner
The fig and prosciutto flatbread has been my go-to dinner lately. It’s so good and so easy. And really all I’ve been craving is cheese and bread…so it’s perfect. I did add a little spinach tonight to make it a tiny bit more nutritionally sound.
10 p.m. – blog
A note on my work, life balance and schedule. I know…I’m busy. But for the record, I do not wish for life to be like this forever. I want to love my work and feel passionate about it…but I want to love my home life equally as much. One day, this kind of “day in the life” will not be my reality. I love it for now, but it’s not sustainable (or how I want to FEEL in the long run).
Now it’s time for bed. I have another 5:30 a.m. client in the morning. (I am currently on a waiting list for this time slot…I can’t believe people want to get up this early to workout…)
Hope it’s been a good day for y’all!
Wow girl!! You wear so many hats! I’m so glad you’ve found what makes you happy and are living your dream!! I hope to goodness you find a little time for a snack in there. No wonder you look as incredible as you do! No time for mindless munching in front of the TV! Haha! I love seeing a glimpse into your “not normal” schedule!
Wow – Congrats on the upcoming 2nd book! And that fig and prosciutto flatbread ooh yum!!! – hope your weekend is wonerful
Good job at staying focused and balanced, Jen! I’m so happy you are loving what you are doing. That is so important!
I’m not sure how you stay up until ten when you get up at 5! I am usually up withing the 5 o clock range too but I can NOT stay up past 9pm and if I do I am EXHAUSTED!
How do you remember everything you have to do , meetings and appointments? I’m a planner girl personally. Just curious!
most of my schedule is pretty set every week as far as clients and classes. i keep everything in my google calendar.
Just wanted to let you know I attempted your 1000 rep workout this morning! And yes…attempted. Had to adjust to 500 reps but still think I got in a great workout. OMG that’s tough!
woo! way to go on 500. that’s awesome!
Oh that face! 🙂 And that pizza…I LOVE figs on pizza…That add the perfect amount of sweetness…Have a beautiful weekend friend! XOXO
Wow that is a crazy crazy schedule! I am going to have to start getting back into the 5:00 AM wake up calls and i am not looking forward to it!
That flatbread looks delicious!!
Great job. I am so excited for you! 🙂 Your days are always so busy, I don’t know how you do it.
I love your awareness…and the “light” that you pass on. I really like what you shared: “how do you want to feel?”..because- whatever comes in to the picture, doesn’t matter as long as I am feeling the way I want to feel. …And your awareness with your schedule- huge.
Pizza looks amazing! 🙂
wow, busy bee. i hoped you snacked between 1 and 9:30pm?
yep, always have something around…fruit, crackers, nuts, etc.
you sooooo have me beat in the shower/get ready department ! i cannot be ready in less than 1 hr no matter what, especially with hair drying (i have long hair). I suppose if you are going to the gym you probably aren’t putting on a ton of makeup so maybe that helps too ! i’ve always thought that i spend to much time getting ready but i feel like i’ve cut it down as much as i can for an office job !
Wow! I’m amazed by your stamina. I’m very much an introvert and need my downtime/alone time. How do you stay motivated with so much on your plate? Out of curiosity, would you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert? How do you like to decompress?
I just found your blog a few weeks ago and I enjoy reading it!
hey michelle – thanks for checking out my blog. i am actually pretty introverted. i can usually only handle about 4-5 hours of my day being teaching/training or having to be “on.” that’s why all the writing works so well for me because it is “downtime.” i decompress with running, yoga, walking the dog at the end of a long day and cooking dinner.
Wow! Can we say superwoman?? You’re amazing!
Those blueberry muffins look fantastic!
