Hello and happy Friday. I’m happy to report that my pace of life has slowed WAY down since the last time we chatted. I’m also happy that it’s currently 58 degrees outside and sunny and tomorrow is going to be 62! As soon as Finn wakes up from his nap we are going to head out for a walk. I also have plans to hit up a Girl Scout Cookie drive through that’s open at a nearby church from 4-6p and I think I might finally watch the Fyre documentary that everyone has been talking about tonight.
I thought it would be fun to wrap up the week on a lighthearted note with some random things to share and Friday faves.
BABY BUMS
Since I just mentioned Finn napping (naps have been better this week, thank goodness!), I have to share this photo. I sent it to Virginia and her first comment back was that she wanted a thermal one-piece. Why do babies always have the coziest looking clothes!?
I’ve heard from so many friends that their babies also sleep like this…on their knees with butt up in the air. I think it’s so stinking cute and I couldn’t get over his crossed ankles on this day!
HOPE HUMMUS
This isn’t the first time I’ve shared about HOPE Foods hummus. I love the texture of their hummus as well as the unique and super flavorful option. The Thai Coconut Curry flavor is delicious!
WISE WORDS
Goodness, I shared this quote on my PBR Facebook page this week it was liked and shared so much. It make sense to me that it resonated with so many people as I feel that judgement is something that we are constantly inundated with. If you’d like to do more work/reading/digging on this topic, I recommend reading The Four Agreements and Judgement Detox.
SPARKLY SODA WATER
Have you tried the Waterloo brand of sparkling water yet? I’ve been seeing it around a lot and finally picked up a case when it was on sale last week. Lime is definitely my default sparkling soda flavor and this might be my favorite that I’ve tried yet!
DOGGY DENTAL TREATS
The team at Whimzees offered to send some of their dental treats for Sullie and Zoey and needless to say, the girls think they’re the best ever!!! Whimzees are made with natural ingredients and are vegetarian, grain free and GMO free. They have a special shape that is supposed to help remove tarter and plaque. I’ll letcha know if their teeth are sparkly clean after we make it through both bags.
Also, can we talk about how dirty Zoey is? I would love to hear if you guys have any favorite brushes for very hairy dogs.
COOKIES!!!
Fun fact. I was a Girl Scout for many, many years and even worked as a counselor for the Girl Scout summer camp that I attended as a child for two years as a college student. (Then I worked at Camp Wayfarer in Flat Rock, NC for three summers. Being a camp counselor is THE BEST EVER and I’m so glad I did that instead of internships!)
So I feel like it’s my duty to support the Girl Scouts and buy their cookies! I will definitely get Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos (gimme all the peanut butter) and probably a box of Thin Mints. I know everyone goes crazy over Samoas but they are not my favorite. I mean, I won’t turn one down but I like some of the others better.
There’s also a local Boy Scout trip doing their annual barbecue fundraiser this weekend right across the street from the Girl Scout cookie sale. I could make it a whole night of supporting the scouts! 🙂
Okay…Finn is awake and it’s time to go for that walk.
Have the best weekend friends!
What’s your favorite Girl Scout Cookie flavor?
What’s your favorite sparkling water flavor?
I LOVE Tagalongs and always buy a few boxes. I also enjoy Thin Mints and Samoas but have to be in the mood for these flavors, in contrast to Tagalongs with I could eat any time.
My husband loves Trefoils, and both he and my sons discovered the S’mores cookies last year and fell in love with those, too. So we had to buy several varieties this year.
I recently discovered Waterloo and it’s my favorite brand now!
Thin Mints straight from the freezer! The absolute best! And then I would say Samoa is my second favorite from the refrigerator (when I was younger I would break it apart and put it on top of vanilla ice cream). Not sure why I prefer Girl Scout Cookies cold hahah That toffee cookie sounds good- I haven’t seen that one before!
Waterloo has become my absolute favorite water. The Black Cherry is amazing! I love the Watermelon, Mango and Grapefruit too. I dont think I have tried the Lime. Costco sells a trio of flavors now!
My favorite GS cookies are Tag-a-longs and I love Do-Si-Dos because they remind me of my childhood. My Dad loves them.
Tagalongs…always Tagalongs!! I am looking forward to trying the Smores cookie this year, though; and even though my husband likes the Savannah Smiles lemon wedges, I prefer the lemon iced shortbread that the other GS bakery makes.
I just watched the Fyre doc, and it’s totally worth watching! I had no idea so much went down that way—crazy! As for my favorite Girl Scout cookie, it would have to be Samoas ?
Waterloo watermelon flavor is my favorite!
tagalongs forever!!! but as I’ve gotten older I’ve grown to love samoas, too.
ok, you have to try the watermelon waterloo! its seriously incredible. so so good!! want one now…
