My friend Ashely writes really fun posts about five things she’s loving at the moment. I always enjoy reading these posts and thought I would borrow her idea tonight. So here are five things that I’m loving right now.
1. Hoodies. My cold weather go-to for comfort. I’ve been wearing them nonstop for the last month.

2. Drop backs. I just started (last week!) doing drop backs on my own in ashtanga and standing up from the backbend. This is huge if you were around back in the days of the Ashtanga Awkwardness post. It feels great to be free of the fear of dropping back and doing this on my own!

3. The Avett Brothers – Live Volume Three. The Avett Brothers have been my favorite band for serveral years and I am loving their new live album. You might remember that we went to the album release party and got to meet them a last month!

4. Being in the kitchen. There is something about the fall and cooler weather that has me longing for time in the kitchen. I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving cooking. One of my favorite culinary days of the year! Although I must share that I am really going to miss cooking the Thanksgiving meal with my mom and dad (we’re staying in Charlotte this year with Brandon’s family). We had the best time last year spending the day in the kitchen and preparing the meal for our family.
5. Cozy fires. Brandon and I are taking full advantage of our two fireplaces during our first winter in our new house and also loving our fire pit on our back patio. I can’t wait to hang our stockings on the mantle after Thanksgiving! 😀

I love all these things too! Especially the Avett Brothers – we just saw them live at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass (a huge free concert in SF) about a month ago. So, so awesome!
And hoodies. Ohhh hoodies. I am down to only 2 and I need more!
I’m so jealous that you went to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. That sounded like so much fun! One of my life dreams is to make it to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Hoping to make it happen in the next couple years.

Thanks Emma. Yeah, I think the the picture that my yoga teacher took of me sweaty in an unflattering pose at 6:30 in the morning is the most embarrassing thing ever! I can’t believe I shared it on my blog. Ashtanga is full of random and awkward poses!
I am loving Christmas music! Even though its early!!
Hoodies are a year-round love for me. I so miss the fireplace at my parents house, they make the winter spectacular!
I am currently loving strength training (after years without it), reading and dried cranberries.
Strength training is a great thing to be loving right now! So awesome that you’ve rediscovered it.
I also love hooded sweatshirts. They are so comfy and cozy and I love having a kangaroo pocket across my belly. 🙂 I’ve been wearing them nonstop lately, usually with yoga pants. I’m sure I look like a high schooler. 🙂

It’s fun to acknowledge and be thankful for the little things we love every now and then. Currently I am loving… Knitting (I just started!), Cheesy holiday tv-movies (gotta love Hallmark), yoga (I just started this too), hot cups of tea on Saturday mornings with my mom, and my hot new black leggings!
Love that you commented on knitting. I am reading Friday Night Knitting Club right now and it’s making me so interested in it but I don’t think I have the patience for it.

I love seasonal teas too! My recent find is Trader Joe’s Vanilla and Cinnamon Black Tea – so good!
I am loving the warm weather we are having, seeing all the Christmas Decorations starting to appear and the fact that I will be on holidays this time next week. 🙂
