Guess what today was?
Free cone day at Ben & Jerry’s! Wahoo!
Guess who went through the line twice? Round one was a scoop of Strawberry Cheesecake and round two was the most amazing peanut butter ice cream called “What A Cluster” – Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Caramel Cluster Pieces, Peanut Butter and Marshmallow Swirls. Mmm!!!
And then due to poor planning just 30 minutes later I did the 5:30 p.m. CrossFit WOD at the gym. Luckily, our amazing CrossFit director, Sean, was there to keep me in the game.
The first set of 50 burpees nearly did me in but I powered through. It was an awesome workout and this is one you can do at home! Do it and let me know how it goes. I predict you will be dripping in sweat. 😉
I did eat some real food today. Breakfast after an early morning ashtanga practice was a big bowl of oatmeal with bananas and blackberries.
We had a work lunch at Cantina 1511. I was greeted by a bowl of chips bigger than my head and salsa.
I balanced out the chips by ordering the Mexican Chopped Salad with salmon. This is one of my favorite salads in Charlotte. Chopped romaine, roasted corn, cucumbers, jicama, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, avocado and cojita cheese.
Now I have to figure out what I’m in the mood for for dinner. It’s been a really random day of eats.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
So hard to pick a favorite… cookies & cream, cookie dough, mint, peanut butter….
Anything with pb and chocolate is awesome in my book!
Sticking with the B&J theme…Cherry Garcia! Or New York Super Fudge Chunk!
Either Bonnaroo Buzz by Ben & Jerry’s or Turtle from Carvel 🙂
I also discovered today that Keebler makes cookies that are identical to Girl Scout Samoas. Theyre called Coconut Dreams and I got them at A&P (I’m in Connecticut).
My life is now complete.
Coffee ice cream with chocolate sprinkles!!! 🙂
Almond Joy — coconut ice cream w/ chocolate covered ice cream pieces from a local place here in Iowa 🙂 SO good.
Chocolate chip cookie dough please!
Oh yum, I love What a Cluster! But you can’t go wrong with peanut butter. 🙂
My all time favorite though is mint chocolate chip.
Peppermint ice cream is my favorite!
I appreciate that you went through the line twice, a girl after my own heart.
I have a half this weekend and next week I am finally trying Crossfit. I love seeing your workouts and am excited to try this kind of training.
I love coffee flavored ice cream! But vanilla will always be a classic too!
LOVE your tank! Is it the Lulu power y tank?
Thanks!
yes ma’am – in paris pink!
I live that salad too! I always get it at Cantina. Yum 🙂
Dang girl. You killed that workout! I can see your time 🙂
I’m plain and like vanilla best! I’m definitely going to try out that workout! 50 burpees?! sounds like my kind of workout! I love/hate burpees 🙂 are the squats just done BW style?
I love getting healthy salads at Mexican restaurants, it means I can have endless chips;)
From Ben and Jerry’s, I’m all about the oatmeal cookie crunch! You MUST try it. AMAZING.
But in general, I like ice cream that does the sweet and salty thing. I live in Ohio so we have two amazing ice cream places: Graeter’s and Jenni’s. Check out Jenni’s Ice cream on the web…. they have the coolest flavors. I like their Salty Caramel and Reisling Poached Pear flavors mmmmm
i’ve had the oatmeal cookie – it’s SOOOO good! those ice cream flavors sound so good. i love salted caramel ice cream!
That salad looks so good! When it comes to ice cream, I’m a plain vanilla kind of girl.. froyo, however, is a different story 🙂
Icecreammmm yummie! I did the workout in 30:42 minutes…it was awesome! Thank you for sharing. xxx
