Happy Friday.
I have quite the random collection of Friday favorites to share with you today.
FRESH PAINT
As I mentioned in a previous post, I am living in a rental house right now that I love for the overall flow, space and neighborhood but NOT for the point colors. Since it’s a rental, I don’t want to sink money into painting the whole house so I compromised with the nursery and the den. Those are two rooms that I can see myself spending a LOT of time in once baby boy is here.
I’ve spent the last three days immersed in trying to pick the best shade of warm white since I’m a big fan of clean and simple. I ended up going with Sherwin Williams Dover White. My painter is here today. (He is the best EVER if you’re in CLT and need a recommendation…I’ve been using him for 6+ years.) I’ll share the final result with you soon! 🙂
MOMENTUM MOTIVATE WRAP
I met the founder of Momentum Jewelry at the BlogHer Health conference and she gave me one of her Motivate Wrap bracelets (and there was another in my swag bag!). These bracelets are super soft and comfortable and there are quite a few motivational mantras to choose from. You hardly feel that you’re wearing it throughout the day and it’s even easy to wear during workouts.
BABY TIME
I stopped by a girlfriends house yesterday for a little while to hang with her and her new little man. We sat on the floor in her master bathroom because the baby loves the heated floors for tummy time, drank some hot tea and caught up on life. It was perfect.
ZOEY GIRL
On the topic of cute and sweet things, THIS GIRL. Zoey has been so super affectionate lately and extra cuddly and attentive. She’s also been getting on the furniture more often! (can you spot little 11 pound Stella in the background?)
VOLUSPA GOJI TAROCCO ORANGE CANDLE + DIFFUSER
I love all Voluspa candles but this Goji Tarocco Orange candle smells AMAZING. I have this candle upstairs and the Goji Tarocco Orange reed diffuser downstairs. The packaging of Voluspa products is beautiful so it’s a great little splurge for yourself or a gift for others.
LOLLIA HAND CREAM
A girlfriend gave me this Lollia Lavender and Honey Relax Handcreme along with a baby gift and it smells wonderful. I love having hand cream in my purse or around the house, especially this time of year when my hands tend to be super dry.
THIS PEANUT BUTTER EXTRAVAGANZA
If you missed this on Instagram, one of my sweet yoga students baked me (and the baby she says!) the most ridiculous peanut butter cake ever.
Where do I even start? Peanut butter cake and peanut butter frosting with Oreos, Ritz Crackers, I think there are some potato chips on top, caramel drizzle and MORE. HOLY COW! This thing is insane! (and insanely delicious)
MOBILEVISION MULTI-DEVICE CHARGING STATION
I mentioned this one last week in my 5 Hacks to Streamline Your Busy Life post but I have to share again with the link to the charging station. I can’t tell you how nice it is to have all of my chargers organized in one place on the counter.
READS
Goodness this book is hard to read.
Loving Ashley’s list of things you actually need when you have a baby.
Accepting Yourself Unconditionally (Even When You’re Struggling)
I always love reading Brittany’s parenting posts, especially the food-related ones. Love this one about not labeling food good or bad.
Thai peanut chicken thighs. Always a big fan of any thigh recipe over here!
Fitness gifts for Valentine’s Day
The Secret to Living Longer May Be Your Social Life (TED Talk)
And that’s all! Have a great weekend friends.
Anything you’re loving lately that you want to share?
Alllllways looking for book recommendations. Maybe something not quite as heavy as The Storyteller.
Best sweet treat you’ve had lately?
I ordered that charging station. We have a multi charger but there iPads and phones laying around everywhere. Having something to organize them sounds great.
I took your recommendation and downloaded A Book of Joy. I’ve only begun, but it is inspirational. I want to order Laura Calder’s, The Inviting Life. An Inspirational Guide to Homemaking, Hosting, and Opening the Door to Happiness.
That handcreme and candle look delightful. Too bad my allergies would think otherwise!
We have the best French bakery here (in Iowa, yes!) and I love their almond croissants. Definitely had one yesterday as I went on a lunch date w/ my husband.
Cannot wait to see how the nursery turns out — fresh paint is the best!! It can completely transform any space.
I am interested in the momentum bracelets but I’m not sure about the fabric… like I’d have to take it off anytime I sweat heavily or shower?
