Happy Friday. I didn’t mean to check-out on you guys yesterday but when I opened my laptop last night and navigated to the new post page, I just didn’t have any words to share. So I closed it and watched Netflix instead. ๐
I keep intending to write my final fourth trimester recap post but I just haven’t been able to get myself in the right head/heartspace yet to do so.
I’m going to keep today’s post light with some photos to share from the week.
Sometimes Zoey gets a little jealous of Finn. Haha. She’s never far away!
Bathtime is the best time. MY HEART!
My mom is a member of Sam’s Club so we made an outing one day to pick up a few things. They had really great prices on three-piece Carter’s outfits so we got a few things in six-month size. I can’t believe I’m buying clothes that big now. Ahhhh.
I really like these PJs from Nordstrom. They have really cute footed PJs. And Finn loves holding this little puppy blanket. It’s the sweetest thing.
My mom left yesterday and we were very sad to say goodbye. I’m hoping to get back to Florida again before teacher training starts and I’m traveling all the time.
Speaking of teacher training, it’s been REALLY nice to get back to work in a capacity other than my blog. I have been working on organizing the syllabus for the training as well as writing the manual. I can’t believe we start in a little over a month! There is so much work to do to prepare but I’m so grateful for it.
I got to squeeze in a workout yesterday and it was my first one of the week. I went for a four-mile run and then did a quick 20-minute unilateral strength workout at Metro. Details on Instagram.
The run felt truly amazing. Probably my best postpartum run yet. I think that was partly due to the incredible weather and low humidity. I felt like a new person after that run + lift.
Oh, and always fun to see yourself while you’re out on a run. ๐ (I was 13 or 14 weeks pregnant in that shot!!!!)
One of my friends is in temporary housing while her house undergoes some renovations so she invited Dorie and me up to the rooftop of her apartment complex to hang out last night. There was a full view of the skyline and the weather was perfect. We chatted for a couple of hours and passed the baby around. It was great to catch up with my girlfriends.
And I can’t talk about this gorgeous weather enough! It got down in the 50s last night and was just 65 degrees for our walk this morning. All of us had a little extra pep in our step, especially Sullie! I am SO READY for cooler mornings and nights to be the norm. But first…we’re back in the 90s again all week next week. Such is life in the south!
That is all! I hope y’all enjoy the weekend.
Are you a member of Sam’s or Costco? Favorite things to buy there?ย
Favorite place to buy baby clothes?ย
If you’re a mom, what was/is your favorite time of day with baby?
I love all the shots of Finn and the pups! I’m not a Costco member, but my boyfriend is. I like buying non-perishable staples at Costco. It’s just me in my apartment, so if I buy anything else in bulk, it always goes bad.
Have a great weekend!
We belong to Costco but honestly don’t buy a lot there beyond household basics (like bottled water, toilet paper, paper towels and the like). My BFF shops there, too, and buys a lot more meat and organic produce for meal prep.
My favorite place to buy baby clothes is one of a few local consignment stores. Babies wear their clothes only a handful of times at most, clothing is softer after a few washings, and most babies receive so many outfits as gifts up to one year of age that you can find a lot of brand-new, never-worn items there, too!
I have really enjoyed consignment for Finn too! Love the note about things being softer after a few washings!
Costco! They have the best gluten free pizza and chocolate covered almonds ๐
Target. The pajamas that zip from the top down are the greatest!
Have a fun weekend!
Love those zip pjs from Target. They’re the best!
My favourite time of day with my baby is in the morning when he is in the best mood, the air is fresh, we walk the dog, and meet family for coffee. Sounds like you had some of those same good times.
YES! I love mornings and the promise of a new day. Finn’s smiles in the morning just melt my heart.
I love Costco. They have great deals on baby clothes; I just bought that exact same outfit last week!
Love that! ๐
Are you a member of Samโs or Costco? Favorite things to buy there? I am a member of Costco! Favorite things to buy there:
– Rotisserie chicken (so easy to use in recipes)
– Riced cauliflower
– Organic eggs
– Frozen chicken/fish. I was cautious buying the frozen seafood but it turned out to be fantastic. I love the salmon, raw shrimp, and mahi-mahi.
the wild caught atlantic salmon in the freezer section is WONDERFUL. it’s just so.good., at such a good price, and so convenient to just take out an individually wrapped piece in the morning and it’s defrosted by dinner!
Yes, I agree!
Thank you!!!
Wow…that photo of Finn in a towel is stunning!!
So excited for you to be doing the teacher training…creating a syllabus can be so much, and yet so fun. Hope it’s a rewarding experience that makes the effort and planning worthwhile. =)
Thank you! He’s a cutie!
I’ve really enjoyed the work to pull together TT and can’t wait to jump in with my trainees soon!
Yes to Costco. Our list:
Their Kirkland Greek Yogurt tubs.
Milk
Half and Half
Eggs
Wheat Thins
Dog Food
Frozen blueberries
String Cheese
And we used to buy diapers there when my kids were smaller.
They also have the best chocolate covered almonds and dried mango in the entire world, but they are not a regular purchase from us. Their walnuts are also great.
THANK YOU! This list is helpful!
Carters or gap! Oh and Primark too!
Definitely morning!! Love breakfast time when they are just waking up and in their jammies, eating/nursing and playing they are usually super happy at that time too!
Costco! String cheese, eggs, almond milk, wipes (we use Huggies wipes and pampers diapers-they only carry Huggies) are our essentials!!
I’ve never heard of Primark so I’ll check that out. Thanks for the costco list. I also prefer Pampers…they do have those at Sam’s!
