Because it’s Monday…
Because I had to drive four hours in fog and rain…
Because I am feeling inspired by “Ghandi’s Top 10 Fundamentals for Changing the World”…
It’s giveaway time! Keep reading…details are coming.
I slept until about 8 this morning and then came downstairs for breakfast and coffee with my grandmother. I don’t even know how to express in words how it feels to sit at my grandmother’s kitchen table. It is one of my very favorite places in the world to be. Breakfast was a maple oatmeal scone, grapefruit and black coffee.
We spent the morning just chatting and enjoying our last few hours together. I saw a feature on pimento cheese as I was flipping through Southern Living and felt inspired to whip some up for lunch. I combined shredded sharp cheddar, cream cheese, pimentos, mayo, toasted pecans, salt and pepper in a bowl and used a hand mixer to get it to the right consistency. Served with crackers and strawberries and bananas on the side.
I said a tearful goodbye just before 1 p.m. and got on the road for Charlotte. I am such a baby when it comes to saying goodbye to my grandmother and my mom. This has been going on since I was young. My grandmother used to tease that she wasn’t going to let me come visit because I would boo hoo so badly when I left…and I was only going an hour away! Yes, I am a mess and I always have been. 😉
When I got back to Charlotte I quickly unpacked and headed over to the studio to teach a hot class. Monday nights are my favorite and class was great. I was itching to move my own body after four rainy and foggy hours in the car so I stopped by the Y on the way home and did 25 minutes on the elliptical while reading Allure and then some quick abs.
Dinner tonight was a salad with spinach, black beans, carrots, strawberries, dried cranberries, golden raisins, pecans and goat cheese. I made a dressing of lemon juice, TJs hot honey mustard and Greek yogurt. A few blue corn chips on the side.
And now…the giveaway!
I posted “Ghandi’s Top 10 Fundamentals for Changing the World” on the Peanut Butter Runner Facebook page this morning. I thought it was a perfect way to start the week. I also shared this with my yoga class this evening and even wrote this out on a big piece of paper and posted it on the mirror for them to read as they moved through their practice.
I want to give back something happy to my readers so here is a fun giveaway for you!
Dizzy Pig Shakin’ the Tree – If you’ve been reading for a while, you know I use this rub all the time on everything from meat to fish to veggies.
Justin’s Maple Almond Butter – This is my all-time favorite nut butter. I just restocked on it Friday and it reminded me how much I love it! So delicious!
A coupon for a free Dahlicious Lassi probiotic yogurt drink – I just received this product to sample. Can’t wait to try it since I am trying to incorporate more probiotics into my diet to aid with digestion.

So sweet to hear about your weekend with your grandmother!
That I moved back to Texas after finishing graduate school–no longer 13 hours away from all of my family!
Coming out of rehab, I am extremely thankful for my sobriety & am ready to use each day to move forward. The timing couldn’t have been better to have “Ghandi’s Top 10 Fundementals” posted in the bathroom as you suggested. 🙂

My family is healthy and safe. And I got good results back from my biopsy last week.
Right now I’m happy and thankful for my boyfriend who has helped me renew my faith! It’s been a long struggle since I’ve started college, but he’s just been very supportive. And for a new semester that is bringing new health through running and yoga.
And as always and forever, it’s great to be a Georgia Bulldog!
I’m thrilled right now to be rediscovering what yoga can do for my body and peace of mind. I’m mid-marathon training and love how recovered I feel after practicing yoga each week!
Right now it’s a toss-up between all the yoga in my life (I’ve been taking it about 5 times a week lately and it’s been amazing!) and getting to start back to school again after a couple semesters off due to moving!
One great thing in my life right now is my acceptance in to law school! I start in the Fall! Super excited 🙂

I am happy that I have recovered from being very sick. Also excited to plan an upcoming vacation!
I am halfway through my first yoga certification! I love sharing yoga’s benefits with friends and family, and soon I will be able to teach it!
One of the many GREAT things in my life right now is getting geared up to run the 2012 Boston Marathon! It’s my first time qualifying and I couldn’t be more excited/proud of myself! I never imagined I could qualify and it goes to show that if you put your mind to something you will achieve your goals!

My family is happy and healthy. It doesn’t get any better than that.
The happiest thing in my life right now is my new niece, Delilah, born yesterday! My big strong brother turned into a blubbering mess at the birth of his first child and I am so happy to see him so happy! Plus, everyone says she looks like me 😉
I am the same way when it comes to saying goodbye!! This is my first year at college, and even though I’m only an hour away (pathetic) I cry every single time I leave home to come back to college (which is every weekend…homesick!). I am trying really hard to stay at school and learn to live on my own this semester, so one GOOD/GREAT/HAPPY thing in my life right now is the experiences I am having that are going to help me grow up!! One thing keeping me here is the new yoga studio that just opened. YES! =)
I think the few good things in my life right now are: 1. starting my junior year of my degree. 2. Finding my love of Yoga. 3. Finally getting over the illness that plagued me for two weeks and got me admitted to the hospital for dehydration! 🙁
I’m thankful for a loving family, partner, and friends. I’m very glad that I have a job that helps me pay my way through school and to have found a subject and potential career that I’m passionate about.
And my ability to run…

One good/great/happy thing for me has been discovering the mental benefits of yoga. I have been feeling the happiest i’ve ever been lately and I think it is all from my recent yoga studies. I can’t get enough- i just want to learn, learn, learn! So happy!
One thing I am happy about is that I have finally found a balance with my diet and exercise that keeps me both physically and mentally healthy.
My husband and I recently adopted a new puppy. She’s so cute, and she and our cat are getting along really well. This clumsy, goofy little dog has just made our household so much more fun!
I am happy to be starting my 2nd semester of graduate school on the right foot with finding a balance between work and taking care of myself through exercise and down time.
1)staring an internship I’m excited about
2)training to run my first 1/2 marathon soon
3)having some time to cook because its the beginning of the semester.
On Monday I turned in the first 30 pages of my Masters thesis to be proofread and edited. Only 40 more pages to go!
My yoga practice right now is making me very happy!! I hit a plateau and was in a rut and have built Bikram back into the rotation with my beloved Baptiste power flow, and it feels wonderful and like the right mix!
I have finally found a job that I am passionate about, so “work” isn’t always a chore!!
I am thankful for my wonderful family and friends who always make me smile.
What an awesome giveaway!!! I would love to win!! I am in the process of marathon training and it has been going suprisingly well and I am on target for a big PR! That has made me really excited and happy! I am always surrounded by encouraging and loving family and friends as well!!! Lots to be thankful for this week!!
Thankful to be able to move back with my parents after graduating and figuring out what to do next with my life 😛
I am thankful for the blessing of pregnancy (25 weeks) and being able to feel my little girl move around inside of me!
I am thankful that I live close to my nieces and nephews and that they like to come have adventures with my husband and I 🙂 They bring a lot of happiness into our lives!
I’m moving to Texas! And I couldn’t be more
excited! Going house hunting next weekend!
I’m thankful for my job. My company is closing two facilities resulting in close to 1000 layoffs which is devastating for my friends and coworkers and I am fortunate enough to have been transferred to another group. I’m so grateful that someone thinks so highly of my work to keep me on board.
I am happy and excited to be training for my first ultra marathon!
Also: Grandmas are the best–glad you had such a nice visit with yours!
I’m happy to finally be feeling ‘at home’ to the area I moved to about 6 months ago. Coming up with a nice routine and joining a new networking group this week. Excited for what’s to come! 🙂
One of many great things in my life right now is nourishing and taking care of the new life growing in my belly. 🙂
I just returned from a wonderful trip to Paris where my boyfriend made me the happiest I’ve ever been-he asked me to marry him! Thank you for such a positive, uplifting question for this giveaway, I love reading all of the ‘happy’ comments!
Right now I’m really happy to be reading all the books for my yoga teacher training. I decided last year that I wanted to become certified so I can teach yoga along with my health and pe major. I have to finish 3 books before the first class (which is in September) and I’m just so excited that I go everywhere smiling nowadays.
One good thing in my life right now is my family. I am reminded each day how much they mean to me, and how much I love them!
Teacher Training at Y2! I feel so fortunate to be on this amazing journey!!

I am so happy about the fact that I am coming to Charlotte this weekend for Spin instructor training!!! Another baby step on the path I am heading down. Also, I am thrilled that we have booked tickets to Costa Rica for the beginning of April. We so need a vacay together, haven’t been anywhere new since our honeymoon!!! What a great giveaway ~ Thank you. ♥
The good, great, happy in my life right now…my wonderful husband of 37 years, 3 beautiful, grown, independent children, 1 awesome grandson and multitudes of friends who love and accept me just as I am! Oh, and oh course discovering Peanut Butter Runner!
My job! With rocky times right now, I feel like everyone I meet complains about their job at least a little bit. I feel blessed to have a position that I enjoy and enables me to keep a great career/life balance. That balance is key and many people aren’t fortunate enough to find it easily. Ps- everytime you mention those scones it reminds me how much I need to make some! Delicious!
Friends to run with make me happy!
I am so thankful for my family! I work 3 hours away from them and even though its not that far I miss them everyday and every time I go home to visit, it is so hard to leave. I feel so fortunate to have such an amazing and supportive family.
i am so happy that ihave recently moved into a new apartment with my boyfriend, my new job is going well, my trimester is almost over, and then only one more to go until internship, and i am going to see my friends soon!!
Oh my gosh! How fun! A happy thing in my life is that I get to see my parents tonight! They only live 30 minutes away, but I love seeing them (not to mention they will be making homemade mac and cheese for me!)
Also- I always cried when I left my grandma. She was 8+ hours away and I saw her about once a year.
I’m getting married in July to my best friend, and I recently started a new job that I love!
I almost to the taper time of my marathon training. That makes me very happy/nervous! 🙂
I’m grateful for finally getting active. After almost 30 years of being sedentary (and even worse, accepting that that was just me and there was nothing I could do to change it), I’m finally becoming the athlete I never thought I could be, and am loving every minute of it! Better late than never!
One really happy thing in my life is a new baby nephew, Nolan! He’s my sister’s second child and was born Jan 20. I LOVE being auntie Em!
I recently started an awesome new job that is both fun and challenging.
My New Year’s Resolution was to put my health & fitness first; so far it’s going great & I’m loving it!

There is really SO much to be grateful for!
I am thankful/happy that we are close to buying a house!
My husband and I are expecting our first baby in 8 weeks! We are getting more and more excited as we closer to d-day!

Thanks Jen! Right now I am thankful for my job. I love going to work every day!
I am so excited for upcoming wedding and in the process of training for another marathon!!
I am thankful for the blogging community. I love the inspiration you provide!!
What a great giveaway, it’s so fun to read what is great/happy/good in others’ lives!
After losing our first baby at birth and trying to get pregnant again for nine months, I am happily 24 weeks pregnant with our second. She is thankfully a mover and a shaker and I am grateful for every day she moves and grows inside me.
Loving my job. Just over a year ago I switched jobs, and I never thought I would look forward to going to work, especially after the “newness” wore off. But I am so thankful to have a job and to love the people I work with.
I would love that poster…but Gandhi is misspelled. (Does that make me shallow?)
Not at all — you are most clever, Michelle.
There are several good/great things in my life: my family, my husband, my SWEET and SMART nephew (who lives in Charlotte), my wonderful black lab and awesome friends!!!!! Life is SO good…
Right now, I’m so thankful to have a job, great friends, and a loving family!
I really want to try your baked goods!!
I am thankful for long-term friends right now. Folks who know me well and whose shoulders I can lean on.
I came across your blog in a magazine while at the gym last summer. Not only has your website caused me to truly make a lifestyle change for the better it has brought true happiness and joy to my life. I have been eating clean ever since and working out on a daily basis. Being a college student (nursing major) puts a large toll on my healthy schedule, but through your blog I have found fun, health, and great ways to do so! I am so thankful that I have found your blog! And others such as PBFingers and SweetToothSweetLIfe. You have all made a healthy lifestyle possible in my life.
Also I have found an amazing person in my life who I see as my best friend. I have never felt such overall happiness in both my relationships and lifestyle. I TRULY want to thank you for all that you do in the blog world. You are a voice a change to anyone who comes across your blog. Thanks for everything and keep doing what you are doing!
I am also super close with my grandmother and I definitely know how you feel when it comes to ending a visit!
The good/great/happy for me right now:
So excited to fly to another state on Friday to surprise my best friend for her 30th birthday!!!
I’M ENGAGED TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE… WE’VE BEEN TOGETHER 8 YEARS NOW (SINCE HIGH SCHOOL!)
My family! because I recently just left home again for school, so I can relate to your teary goodbyes, and they make leaving alright!
definitely my family. i live far away from all of them but sometimes i think that makes us closer, we have to work harder to stay in touch and remain a part of each other’s lives. oh, and my yoga practice!
I have a wonderful husband, who is the source of so much of my joy on a daily basis. And my parents are coming for a visit this weekend, and I’m excited to see them!
My good/great/happy thing right now is that I am finally finding peace with myself and my body. I have struggled with low self esteem and body image issues and I am finally beginning to feel a sense of peace, happiness, and love for myself. That peace has also helped me love others more too!
My siblings are much older than I am (12 and 17 years!) so we have never lived in the same place together. This year, they all moved back home, so for the first time in my life, I get to be with my entire family as often as I like, including my niece and my one-year-old nephew. So my happy right now is the companionship of my family. I also only recently came into yoga, and every day I am craving more and more of the practice, so being able to piece the awareness and calm it brings me into my hectic life and busy workout schedule has been pure joy.
I am not sure if this is a good/great/happy thing but it is surely a BIG thing going on in my life:
My husband and I are embarking on our first in vitro procedure this month. After 3 unsuccessful years of trying for a baby, we are finally going to the next big step. Fingers crossed!
One great thing is that I’m working towards a degree that will help me achieve my dream job!
One amazing thing is my life right now is the growing baby inside me. 11 weeks until we get to welcome our second litle guy and I can’t wait to meet him.
Things in my life are so wonderful. I feel so blessed with everything God has given to me. I didn’t realize being happy could feel this good!
After many years of soul searching, I am mere months away from achieving my dream of becoming a registered dietitian and my career goals have never been clearer!
My beautiful arabian horse Joaquin is so wonderful. He has a goofy personality and is a delight to ride. I am so proud to have him.
I love reading all the positive comments! I’m so happy to have the freedom to run outside. A lot of people in the world can’t do that.
Great giveaway! Happy thing: one of my best friends is coming to visit this weekend, and then my parents arrive Sunday night– yay!
Even though it’s extremely time consuming… I’m happy to be in nursing school!
Planning my daughter’s 3rd birthday party. Can’t believe she’s growing up so fast. An of course being in good health along iwht all of my loved ones.

My GREAT thing is my wife!! We are the proud parents of 11 children and she inspires me each and everyday. We have decided to make this the year that we become our healthiest selves and it is off to a great start! Love reading your blog!
I am happy, healthy, and able to run again!! Pure BLISS! Great post!
I am so happy that I actually got up at 5:30 this morning to do my first morning work out in years! I am not a morning person, but it was great!
i’ve spent the last 4 years out of state but currently i am home with family and friends. nothing beats that!
My husband and I are in the process of purchasing our first home! The process certainly makes me feel good, great, and happy….as well as a bit nervous :). p.s. It’s national pb day! Hope you enjoy it!
There are so many great things in my life for which I am so grateful. However, if I had to pick just one thing right now I would say watching my almost three-year-old twin grandchildren discover the world. Everything is so magical through the eyes of children.
Oh my gosh, baked goods from PBRUNNER?! Gimme!! A new fun, great, and happy thing going on in my life right now is that I’m about to embark on my first marathon training. I’m a bit nervous but I want to be able to complete a full after doing only half marathons.
I’m so happy to have my 4 beautiful children, a wonderful supportive caring husband, and my health. What a great giveaway! Thank you!
My 4 little kids are fed, healthy, loved, and smile every day. As a high school counselor, I hear and see so much pain from young people on a daily basis. My house is old and leaky, I’m still not a millionaire or super model, but my babies are perfect. What more could I want?
I am currently going through a stressful period, and I feel like that actually makes me appreciate all the good things in my life so much more: my fiance, our dog, being employed and being healthy all make me so happy and grateful every single day!
Yoga! I am currently in Yoga Teacher Training- and loving it, yoga makes me more grounded so that I am able to handle lives challenges and appreciate those I love!
I’m loving the refreshed feeling of January and starting the new year off right – good workouts, healthy meals, and a year of great things to come!
I finally got braces, I can’t wait to have a beautiful smile.
I am from Canada and just moved to Connecticut for my husband’s job. Because he doesn’t yet have a green card, I am not allowed to work legally. At first this was okay, since we have an 8 year old to keep me busy, and I spend quite a bit of time in the gym/doing yoga but I’ve been in a funk lately and feeling like I need to do something more.
I have been thinking about becoming certified to teach yoga for a couple of years now, but never had the time. Before I begin the journey, I feel that I need to spend more time in the studio learning and becoming immersed in the yoga community. So, I reached out to a couple of local studios to ask if I could do a work exchange – help at the studio in exchange for free yoga (since I can’t accept monetary payment). I am now a proud ’employee’ of two studios where I plan to absorb all of the knowledge that I can before beginning my teacher training. Hopefully when my training is through and my green card is processed, I will be able to teach at both studios!
I also wanted to share this story to thank you for your advice and inspiration over the past few months. Your emails and blog entries are keeping my dream alive every day!
Sorry for the novel!
I am LOVING my 6 am vinyasa flow classes!
Right now I’m thankful for my health and wellness. I may have my aches and pains, but it could be so, so much worse.
A great thing in my life right now? The bowl of oats I’m currently eating at my desk as I read your blog and catch up on emails while the day begins. I love to take time to think about small things that are GREAT – fueling my body with delicious food, the yoga class I’m really looking forward to after work, and a night spent making dinner and snuggling in bed with my boyfriend. I don’t love my 9-5 right now, so I need to focus on the small things I keep doing for myself in order to keep me going!
I have just started a brand new FANTASTIC job which I feel so grateful to have as a recent college grad. I’m sure you can relate as you have recently changed career paths, but loving what you do from 9-5 (ok more like 8-6!) makes a HUGE difference in your attitude 🙂 all smiles here!
I’m healthy, I’m happy and I’m simply loving life! I just got engaged and I think this is going to be a fabulous year. I’m blessed beyond belief.
Being OPEN! Open for change, for love, for life, for this moment and for the next .
Right now at this very moment, I’m thankful for the cappuccino sitting in front of me. Hello morning. But in all seriousness, there are too many good/great/happy things in life to count – which is a blessing in itself.
A good thing in my life right now…pregnancy! It was unexpected and a bit of a shock, but I’m embracing it and loving every second.
All of my classes are interesting, no running injuries, and I’m happy!
I am so HAPPY that I decided to take a 30 day hot vinyasa challenge at my gym. I am at day 22 and I am feeling great! PS I have had the Gandhi poster up at my desk for a month and people still comment on it. 🙂
I am LOVING my 40 Days to a Personal Revolution Program by Baron Baptiste!! And I am so incredibly thankful for the yoga studio and community in my hometown!
One GREAT thing in my life that I couldn’t live without are my friends — they do everything from keeping me sane to making me laugh.
I just moved to my new university and I LOVE it almost as much as i love your blog!
One happy thing in my life right now is the impending birth of the new niece or nephew in my boyfriend’s fam…his sis is due to give birth any day!
One great thing in my life is my singing ensemble that I joined in September. I didn’t realize how much I missed singing until I started back again. It has brought so much joy to my life and gives me something to look forward to every week.
One happy thing about my life right now is that I finally got over my fear/avoidance of the treadmill and have discovered it’s not so awful and my runs are so much more plesant inside than in freezing temperatures through snow/slush/ice!
Despite having a wicked cold, I get to celebrate my niece’s first birthday tonight!! Happy Birthday Ryann Lynn!!!
I am so thankful for my friend who introduced me to peanutbutterrunner.com last week. We both follow your site (she has been a long time follower) and I am starting my own website (because I enjoy your site so much) today using wordpress.com to keep track of my training and all my hobby fun things I do (free range eggs, honey bees/honey, soft crabs, hard crabs, gardening, healthy eating, training for half and full marathons (finished my first marathon, the MCM in 2011 in a little over 6 hours, but I finished!!), yoga classes I attend, and dog training). This way my friends and family can follow me. Oh, and I am thankful I was introduced to peanutbutterrunner.com!!
By far the happiest thing in my life right now is my yoga practice. I am still relatively new (only started last June) but the stability and joy and brings into my hectic life has been life-changing. And I really, really, really love Justin’s Maple Almond Butter…like I’m not sure I even want an enitre jar 🙂 🙂
I am doing the Pure Barre 30 day challenge and started tracking all my food on my fitness pal last week! Working on me this year!
I’m loving my new job as a high school rowing coach in Philadelphia! Finally getting into the swing of things!
Also, Jen, I love your blog…Seriously, it’s bookmarked and I check it daily! Seems like a long time ago I was just one of your campers at Wayfarer 🙂
I have a fun vacation planned with my husband soon, and a girls trip in the works too. I’m happy I have a good husband and good friends!
I will be celebrating my one year anniversary with my husband – so thankful to be married to my best friend!
my sister is having another baby and i got a raise and i am SO close to being finished with my master’s! lots of good things happening!!
I PRed at my last marathon…the early morning training runs were worth it! Oh, and, I ALWAYS ate peanut butter, banana and toast before my runs….breakfast of champions! 🙂
Thank you for inspiring all of your readers!
M
Hi Jen,
What a fantastic giveaway! I have so many things to be thankful for, which is something to be thankful for it and of itself. If I were to pick one out today though, it would have to be my job. Every day that I come to work I am so thankful to be employed and especially doing something I love.
Have a great day!
My hubby and I are just booked our trip to St. John in April!!!
I will be completing my Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy in May!
My life is great because I’ve taken the step to make 2012 the most productive and meaningful year of my life. I’ve started graduate school, am planning my wedding, and am working at a place I love with a cause about which I care deeply. 🙂
I have finally met a boy that makes me happy, and who is truly a genuine and caring person. Charlotte is such a great place, but I have had a heck of a time meeting a nice boy. Also, my sister is due in 2 weeks, my first nephew!! Love your blog and hope I win 🙂 If I do win, I am celiac and just couldn’t enjoy your baked goods, everything else…a-okay!!
I ran my first 10k this weekend and in torrential rains to boot. Such a feeling of strength and accomplishment!
My amazing husband and 10 month old son I was sick all weekend with the stomach bug and myhusband took such good care of me and our baby
A happy, good and great moment in my life right now is that I’m finishing my last semester as an undergrad! Even though I’m applying to grad school for petroleum geology, I know this will be my last semester of living up north and I’m making sure I pursue every opportunity that is presented to me in this location!
I have been doing YogaJournal’s 21-day challenge by practicing an hour of hot yoga every day, and my body literally feels like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. It is amazing and I feel so strong and energized every day! It makes me motivated to keep on practicing every day even after the challenge is finished.
One great/happy thing in my life right now is my sister is about to give birth to my first niece! She is a little miracle and I can’t wait to meet her!
I am thankful for a beautiful life. I am graduating in May from UGA, so I am thankful for a great education!
Thankful for my friends, family, health, cool running weather, and rain.
Love of family and friends during the hard times…
I am LOVING teaching a bunch of new group fitness classes! What a wonderful giveaway and sentiment to share. Wishing you all the best during a stressful time.
Training for my first half and having the time, energy and support to do it is a very good thing!
I am happy about an upcoming trip to St Augustine, FL so I can enjoy some warmer weather!
I just had a beautiful run this morning with my pup! Every time I take her out on a run with me, she reminds me just how fun and carefree running is and should be.
My officemate Amy is definitely a great person in my life. We chat all day (while getting lots of work done) and make each other laugh.
I have such a blessed life and a wonderful husband. He is my running partner and is always pushing me to be the best I can be. We are running out first marathon together in 3 weeks! btw I love your blog, so fun to read!
I am truly inspired by this blog-I read it every day. The greatest thing in my life right now is my son. He was born 10/26/11 and he has changed the way I look at my life. I started eating healthier when I was pregnant, and I have started working out since having him. My personal goal for this year is to run a half-marathon. I have always dreamed of being a runner, and now I know I have the motivation and the courage to achieve anything I dream of.
Right now a beautiful baby girl is growing inside me. That is probably one of the best things in my life right now! Not only that, she’s allowing my body to continue running 30-40 miles per week!
Happy (and extremely lucky) to have such amazing friends and family, who support me every single day and who are always there to give a hug, laugh, words of encouragement, and of course when all else fails…someone to share a bottle of wine with 🙂
the greatest thing in my life right now has got to be my boyfriend and my yoga teacher training going on right now! I’m a lucky girl to have such overwhelming support.
I have such a great and close family which I’m making even bigger with the baby girl I have on the way. When I’m in a bad mood I just have to feel her dancing away and everything else goes away!
I’m loving starting out 2012 FRESH! I’m recently single and focusing on ME 🙂
My kids!!!
I am happy to be helping my sister plan her wedding! Such creative fun!
One good thing? I have become obsessed with the Gym. When I am there, I don’t want to leave!
We got a new puppy yesterday! He’s absolutely adorable and completely ensuring I will not be able to focus at work for the rest of the day!!
I’m leaving on a ski vacation soon!
Good thing? I’m moving home in a month to Seattle to be closer to my family. Bye New York, it’s been real!
I am happy that my favorite gym instructor is back from his week’s vacation in Aspen. No one teaches a better class than he does, and it was fabulous to sweat last night!
The weekend I just spent with my (long-distance) boyfriend – we didn’t do much, but it was just what I needed!
I am thankful for the cooler weather! I live in south Texas where is is too hot half the year!
One happy thing in my life right now is that I’m finally getting a kitten in a few weeks. It’s been too long since I’ve had a pet!
Right now I’m happy that I’m getting to talk to my husband everyday while he is deployed to Afghanistan. Not everyone gets to be so lucky!

My friend and I are adopting a service dog Saturday to train for a child in need! – So excited to be able to participate in such a wonderful program!
One happy thing in my life that is a constant is my dog. I have a 13 year old Mini Schnauzer named Bows (like Bowser the Schnauzer). She makes me laugh no matter how hard of a day I have or if I am sick. Bows is a keeper.
My husband and I got a new puppy a few weeks ago…it’s amazing how happy that little guy has made us!
thanks so much for the giveaway! one great thing in my life right now is my one month unlimited yoga at y2. I just moved to charlotte from FL and have really enjoyed practicing again 🙂
I JUST discovered your blog via a friend in Charlotte. LOVE it! And I, too, loved the Ghandi inspirational poster. I’d say the best thing I have going for me RIGHT now is my health. I’m not the healthiest I could be (by any means), but I recently learned of a few shocking deaths and I’m just happy to be HERE, NOW. Thank you for an awesome blog!
What a great giveaway! I am happy because I am finally making an honest effort at getting in shape and losing what I like to call pity pounds. I have a great trainer and a lot of support from family and friends.
My good/great/happy news is that in a little over one month from now, my older sister and her husband will welcome their first child! I cannot wait to meet my new niece!!
I am thankful for a loving and forgiving Lord and awesome family and friends!
What a wonderful giveaway and fantastic inspiration. I am thankful for finally finding yoga. I have been a runner for years and resisted yoga. I did not think I could sit still with a never ending to-do list in my brain. I did not think I was flexible enough. After one class of learning to let go, I was hooked. I am only about three weeks deep into practicing 3-4 times a week, but it has helped me physicially and mentally in so many ways. Everytime I leave a session, I am thankful for making it to class–a wonderful gift to myself. It makes me a better person, wife and mommy.
The bright blue sky outside my office window is making me smile today.
I’ve really loved waking up early before classes and just having some relaxing time before the hecticness of the day starts. I’ve been able to get a quick run/workout in and have a calm (i.e. not running around grabbing a granola bar on my way out the door) breakfast. It’s an awesome way to start the day!!
I’m 14 weeks pregnant and woke up this morning WITHOUT dry-heaving! Happiness, indeed.
I’m so happy that my friend got into med school!
My friends. 2011 was a year of uncertainty, and my friends have been there for me no matter where I am, geographically or mentally!
I’m about to see lots of old friends at a conference this week!
I am so happy that the boyfriend landed a new job…at two weeks in, last night he told me he absolutely loved his job and was very happy. After 10 years of a stressful job, he deserves it! And his happiness makes me even happier!
I’m going to see a broadway play this friday with my mom and sister! Love family bonding time 😉
I’ve lost 30 pounds since October! Ready to nail down the final 20! Love your blog!
My sweet baby girls! They are two and four. And whether I have a great day or a hard day, they ALWAYS make it better, and remind me of how amazingly blessed I am! 🙂
Right now I am so grateful to have a good job and for my husband to also have a good job, so we can provide for our yet to be born baby!!
I am grateful to be happy, healthy, alive and in love!
I am glad I got to spend a weekend with my parents to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday. She is strong, smart and beautiful (you’d never guess she was turning 60), even if she can’t figure out how to use her iphone.
My father recently passed and I was so worried I wouldnt want to run, move, or even go to work. The GREAT thing in my life, amongst the sadness, is that I have the urge to get up every morning at 5:30 and RUN still! Thank goodness. It truly is my saving grace and my sanity at this time!
Grateful for my wife. We celebrate 25 years of marriage this year (and just got finished planning an amazing trip). I am fortunate to go to sleep with her every night and wake up every morning with her. People come and go, but we always have each other. And, yes, it does keep getting better and better. 🙂
So sweet! 🙂
The weather has been BEAUTIFUL in Lexington, KY the past few days which means some awesome runs with my roommate… plus, my beloved Wildcats are currently ranked #1 in the country. As an SEC gal yourself, I am sure you can relate to this one. Have a great Tuesday!
Wow….Great Post. I am VERY happy to be spending an extended period of time back in the states. It has been so valuable to spend this quality time with my husband and catch up with friends and family.
Right now I am incredibly grateful for my health and the health of the ones I love. I hear so many sad stories that I need to remember to stop and be grateful for my blessings.
I am so happy to have gotten to take a long weekend trip to Savannah with my mom and see my best friend who lives near by. It is back to work for me tomorrow, but the trip has been relaxing and rejuvenating.
The great thing going on in my life right now is my half-marathon training. My endurance has been amazing and I’m currently injury free!
I’m happy to be back into a fitness routine after the holidays.
Right now, I am so proud of how far I’ve come from this time last year. I am training for my first half marathon, regularly practicing yoga, can do real push-ups, am eating healthier whole foods, and am feeling balanced with my social life, too. It’s such a great place to be and I am so thankful!
Landing my dream job less than a year out from graduating college! Sadly most of my peers can’t say this. I am truly blessed to have this opportunity.
I’m happy to be back at school and starting a new semester (Go dawgs!). I’m also extremely happy with this gorgeous weather today!
I am so happy to have taken an incredible 2nd “honeymoon” to Boston with my husband. We have only been married since August and after we took a trip to Hawaii, were so lucky to take a second getaway to Boston a few weekends ago. Such a charming, historical, and trendy city! Thanks to The Fairmont Battery Wharf we were able to take advantage of the perks of being newlyweds!
finally filling out my graduation application for law school! done with school (forever!) on may 19.
I am thankful for my heater! Last weekend it went out – I live in CO – and it was miserable. I never realized how much I take the small things for granted, like heat. It was so wonderful when we got it fixed and all I could do was thank God and pray for those who don’t have heat.
my husband. that may sound mushy and cliche but he is my rock!
Excited about this year’s goal to feel the healthiest I ever have by doing more yoga, ballet, eating well and just taking better care of myself mentally and spiritually. Getting ready to hopefully add to our family later in the year (:
I’m thankful that it’s 55 and sunny today and that I’ll be able to run outside without freezing! 🙂
So thankful to live in Charlotte with so many great friends nearby! And the sun is finally shining here again!
My happy thing in life right now is that next month I get to see two of my best friends, at the happiest place on earth, doing something I love the most! Disney Princesses half marathon. We get to see each other at Disney World and run together…then play at Disney of course!
Your blog is so inspiring!
A good/great/happy thing in my life right now is my independence. I moved out on my own and am slowly starting to appreciate the time I have to myself.
Wow! What a great giveaway!!! The great thing going on in my life is that I have true happiness!!!
Hi Jen,
Just wanted to thank you for this blog; you inspire me daily strive to live an active, healthy, and balanced life.
I am in a happy place because I just quit a job that was completely wrong for me. After recently returning from teaching English for a year to preschoolers in Korea, I found a job in marketing (something I thought I was passionate about). In the end, it turned out that working there was completely unhealthy for me, so just last week, I made the hard decision to quit.
I feel liberated to move on with my life and pursue that which will bring me daily satisfaction :). SOO much better!
Let’s see…something good for me right now is that I have a few really fun trips planned in February! I can’t wait!
I am very thankful it is sunny and 50 in the northeast right now! I can’t wait to go home and go for a run with my dog! It’s been way too icy!
My sister is pregnant!
My dogs are wonderful and its sunny outside!
The best thing in my life has to be my amazing friends. I would be nothing without their support!
I am thankful for having my family in the same state as me for the first time in 6 years. I just moved home (across the country) and now get to see my four beautiful nieces whenever i want instead of once a year!! Its truly amazing to watch them grow and evolve!!!
I’m pregnant and about to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. I’m so excited!
So thankful for my fiance — can not wait to marry that man in August!
I am so grateful for my health. I’m running my first marathon Sunday and have made it through four months of training without an injury. I’m also SO thankful for the support of my family and friends. I wouldn’t be at this place without them! That pimento cheese looks delic btw…
I am thankful for running and to start training for my first half-marathon in May
The best thing about my life is my daughter and husband. Now that my daughter is getting old enough to realize what mommy is eating, I’m inspired to set a better example for her and eat healthier!
I am pregnant with my second child, coasting into my 3rd tri and feeling great!!
My happy thing is that I’m running and have NO INJURIES right now!
My sister! She always knows how to cheer me up and I am so thankful we are able to live so close to each other!!
One thing great going on in my life is my fabulous new job. I love doing what I do. I am former teacher who now works for a publishing company that develops some of most amazing resources for schools.
One (of many!) great things in my life right now is re-discovering the motivation to work out and keep myself healthy. It’s easy to get sidetracked or put your own needs on the backburner. It’s cliche…but there’s something to be said for taking time out to do something for yourself. Body Pump is my new favorite thing…discovered it through your site! So thank you! 🙂
I’m so grateful for my yoga practice and cannot wait to start my teacher training in February!
GOOD: that I am making it through a tough semester week to week.
GREAT: my boyfriend that supports me and understand that sometimes
a simple hug can cure anything.
HAPPY: my sweet precious baby nephew’s face light up when I walk in the door.
These things are my guiding light right now 🙂
Awesome giveaway! My good/great/happy is that I finally started my journey to becoming a massage therapist. Let the healing begin!
Happy to be healthy and moving down the path of expanding our family very soon!

I am happy for health love and relationships!
MY FAMILY ALL THE WAY… I wouldn’t have anything if I didn’t have them!
I have enjoyed your blog so much. It has kick started my journey to becoming healthier. I have a great husband and a beautiful daughter (& our very hyper boxer, Layla). We both have decent jobs and we are just happy building a life together. Hopefully this year we can stay on track to living a healthy and positive lifestyle. We also get to celebrate our first anniversary in May! : D
I am happy that my family is healthy and happy! Oh, and the blue sky and the sun today!!!
I just got engaged a week ago, so I couldn’t be any happier right now! It is such an exciting time!
I am happy about the fact that although I am currently unemployed, being at home allows me the opportunity to spend time with my 10 month old son-which otherwise I would be missing out on this special time with him…it’s these moments that I can never get back and would not miss for the world and I am so grateful that I am able to spend this precious time with him.
I just found out that I am going to be an aunt! I am so happy and thankful!
Beyond thankful for continued lessons on my mat. It’s been a long time and I’ve found a deep desire to start practicing again. Health and healing come in many forms.
*grateful*
So happy that it’s finally warmer outside in NC. Happy to wear shorts running in January! Happy that I finsihed my grad school application!
So happy to have a balanced life with my husband and our two boys!
I’m thankful that me and my family are in great health and employed. It’s a hard time for many right now and we are blessed.
Great – my son is 5 months old this week and I couldn’t imagine my life without him now. And even through the restless nights I find myself smiling every morning seeing my husband with our son.
I am happy that I just booked a wonderful vacation for me and my husband to celebrate 10 years of marriage this fall!
I’m so happy I got a raise last week! It’s only $80 more a week, but I plan to save it all, so that’s $4,000/year to save for special occasions or vacations!
Yum yum! One good thing? It’s hard to pick! I’m so thankful for this amazing summer weather right smack dab in the middle of January. I sat outside today with my two babes and I think I might have gotten a little sun-kissed. I may or may not have shown my huge tummy to the sun, as well. It should be tan, right?
Thanks for a great giveaway.
Melissa
I’m finally realizing it’s time to start going after my dreams instead of trying to reach everyone else’s.
i’m happy that i’m finally in a place where i feel very balanced in my life. i think it’s a sign of good things to come!
What a great giveaway! I am thrilled to have made it through the first two rounds of firefighter candidacy here in Omaha Nebraska! Not too many women in this field and I am excited to have a chance at becoming a firefighter!

Being alive!
I am happy because after two years of hard work and applications, I’m finally in the perfect (for me) MFA program, doing exactly what I love – writing, reading, learning, and teaching!
I have finally met someone who is my perfect match. *Happy*!
I am really happy/excited about moving to california in a few months!
My husband and I are expecting our first baby boy in May!! And I love my job right now.
My family…especially the fact that it is continuing to grow with a new baby this year!
One great thing in my life right now is my amazing boyfriend. Another is my ability to run and train for my first marathon!
I am thankful for my dog. I am currently living by myself and if it were not for her I would come home to an empty house at night. She also must go for a walk or run every day so she helps me stay active and keeps me company!
Awesome giveaway Jen! One of the good/happy/exciting things going on with me right now (besides wedding planning) is learning how to practice mindfulness and how necessary it is in order to live in the present moment – cool stuff!
Even though I am currently injured for the first time in the 10 years I have been running, making it impossible to run for a few weeks, I am so thankful that what was a terrible ankle sprain was NOT a break. I could have been so much worse! I am also so happy about the amazing relationships I have with my sister and boyfriend. I couldn’t ask for better.
So happy to be in my first semester of nursing school working towards a huge goal of mine!
I feel the same way every time I have to say goodbye to my parents.
I’m very thankful for my friends and family who have always supported my ambitions no matter how outrageous, and I’m thankful for the spring like weather we have today.
I’m thankful for my family’s health. We have been hit with a couple of bad news but I’m just really grateful everyone is healthy!
P.S. So excited about the baked goods 😉
Love this giveaway! While there is nothing special going on in my life right now, I feel very content, happy & at peace – which is amazing and not how I was feeling only a few short months ago.
Things I’m presently very happy about: winter vegetables, the ability to run to work, hazelnut coffee from the in-office Keurig, the very mild DC winter, a healthy family, and having so many wonderful, encouraging friends.
Awesome giveaway! I am really enjoying my life in general right now, especially my pup Charlie! 🙂
I just booked a mini vacation for myself and hubby to New Orleans for April. I love having something to look forward to, especially on these dreary winter days. Love the giveaway!!
My sweet husband! Even on the worst of days he is there to cheer me up and help me work out problems!
Great thing — my husband and I have finally opened the doors to our own Chiropractic office! It’s been a long journey and we cannot wait to help our community get well and stay well!
I am simply thankful for a healthy, loving family. It is easy to take it for granted until something unfortunate happens and causes you to wake up and open your eyes.
I am happy becuase I am in the midst of accomplishing a really big goal. I am close and cannot wait to complete my journey.
My uncle just found out he’s cancer free! after ~2.5 years of fighting!

What a great giveaway! I’ve got amazing family and friends in my life- it couldn’t get any better than that! 🙂
I am going to visit a friend this weekend that I havent seen since last year!
I’m thankful for my job. With so many people unemployed, and with jobs being cut….I’m happy to go to a job I love.
Oh, I want those baked goods! 😛
Something that I am so happy about in my life right now is the fact that my husband and I are getting to build our own house together!!!
I am thankful for my fantastic, supportive husband. Also, my Mom reminded me today that she has been cancer-free for 12 years, which always brightens my day.
Right now I am happy for the fact that I found the diamond that fell out of my ring! This has not been a great year for my husband and I — he lost his job and he was the main bread winner. In any case, I was doing a bootcamp workout (in my living room) and noticed that I could only see the prongs on my ring, not the diamond itself. I had an absolute panic attack — but fortunately it was right under the couch. He picked it out for me 13 years ago and it really means a lot to me. I know it’s just a “thing” but it represents a lot!
I’m planning my June wedding! I’m sure it will get stressful, but right now it’s still fun.
i’ve never tried pimento cheese, but it looks like something i’d enjoy. maybe i’ll try it!
something great in my life is that i just started student teaching this week and my cooperating teacher and students are wonderful! i <3 them already!
Because my mouth is watering….
I am happy about being blessed with a life (and heart) full of far more interesting and fabulous family and friends and a cuter dog than I could ever imagine deserving!
I decided to do my Yoga Teacher Training and just started!!
My great thing right now is having my loving husband by my side.
I have one potentially REALLY good thing going on right now that I don’t want to mention for fear I’ll jinx myself! So my #2 really good thing is that I had an AWESOME 14 mile run on Sunday – I’m gearing up for a marathon in April and I’m getting super psyched! 🙂
My wonderful and supportive friends!
I just returned from spending an entire week on vacation with my whole family. It was the best week I’ve had in a long time! Sun, family, and no responsibilities… my idea of a perfect week 🙂
Great giveaway! I have so many great things in my life right now. I am definitely grateful that I am back at school getting an education and having such a fun time.
Hmmm… I’m happy for many things… but I’m definetely glad that this week got off to a great start! And I’m happy to have such a supportive family 🙂
My aunt was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer a few months ago and she just got home from the hospital this weekend. She is on her way to making a full recovery!!! It was a very scary and stressful few months but I feel so relieved and HAPPY that she is home and reunited with my uncle!
Right now I’m happy because I just moved into a new place which I love!
Right now, I am absolutely in love with my classes and the mentoring program I’m a part of! 🙂
Being able to run my own personal training business and to watch it grow and to watch my clients become healthier, fitter, and more enthusiastic about living a healthy lifestyle…I’d say this is a good, great, and happy blessing, that I’m thankful for everyday! 🙂
New career, new city and new adventures!
I am happy to be the mother of two wonderful, wild and loving little boys. They make my day always brighter.
A new semester started for me yesterday… and I’ve been feeling an amazing sense of balance and contentment about the incredibly busy life I’ll lead for the next four months 🙂 I’m incredibly happy about this!
One of the best things in my life right now is rock climbing! I just joined a local rock gym and have gone 4-5 times so far and it’s the most amazing combination of strength and bursts of totally cardio-like adrenaline. I’m totally hooked!
The best thing going on in my life right now is that I’ll be moving across the COUNTRY in about 10 days! I was born in Michigan, but my mom moved us to Florida after my dad passed away when I was young. I have missed my extended family so much over the years and always felt like a piece of my soul was missing. About a month ago, I made the bold decision to take that piece of my soul back and move to where my heart was telling me I needed to be. Everything has been falling into place so easily and I know I’m making the right decision.
All this is to say… the happiest thing in my life is trading in sunshine & palm trees for snowmen & hot cocoa. Can’t wait!
leaving my gram makes me sad, too. 🙁 but today I’m happy because I’ve taken a step toward a huge career change! I’ve enrolled in a program to become a Holistic Health Coach…and I’m not looking back!
I will be a first time mom in less than three weeks….to identical twins! 🙂

My boyfriend just moved 7 hours away for a new job, I have one semester left of grad school before I join him- the distance is hard but it is just reaffirming that we care about each other very much!
The lack of snow! I live in upstate NY and the weather has been so warm 🙂
A good/happy/great thing is my boys/dogs Flip and Ryan. They never fail to make me smile and at the end of the day I always have my dogs to come home too no matter how bad my day has felt.
So many things! I’ve recently started a great new job in NYC, I am in love with my amazing boyfriend of 2.5 years, have a huge/crazy family that I couldn’t live without, I’ve been teaching myself how to cook (somewhat successfully…), and just started with a trainer at the gym! It’s so easy to focus on the negatives – thanks for making me think about all the wonderful things in my life!
Just being happy with who I am, it’s an amazing feeling!
these are all things i would love! something great happening in my life recently is success at my job!
My husband & I have the amazing opportunity to purchase a very successful business!
I’m so grateful, happy, thankful, and excited about passing my doctoral preliminary examinations!!!!! 🙂
Hope you’re having a great week!!!!
MC
happy good thing…That I am getting married in 4 days! 🙂
I’ve discovered the joy of running with audiobooks (instead of music), and I can’t wait to get out the door for a run to spend some time with a story. Since becoming engrossed in audiobooks (the “Twilight” Series, “The Help”, “Born to Run”, to name a few of my recent “reads”), I have been able to motivate myself better to go for a run–despite the chilly weather!
A happy thing in my life right now is yesterday I got to talk to my husband for the first time in 5 days! He recently left for Afghanistan and contact has been sporadic and infrequent since then. I’m hoping that since they’re at their final destination, communication will finally improve:)
Two family members who had health issues recently found out that they are cancer free!!!
I’m grateful that I was able to spend a week with my wonderful family in Atlanta! missing them already but so glad I have wonderful memories of the past week! thank you!!!

Something great going on in life right now is that we (my husband and I) are about to move to Tampa, FL for my job! We are super excited and can’t wait to get started on this new adventure. Not to mention, Tampa has some great yoga ~ so I’ve heard 🙂
My family has always been the greatest thing in my life!!

OVERNIGHT OATS! and thankful for you sharing your life with so many. Truly inspiring.
The one happy thing in my life right now is my mother, who is still alive despite suffering a massive stroke last April. Can’t wait to get home and visit her this weekend!
I am happy that I have a great job and found a fun yoga studio in town!!
I have a wonderful, caring family and boyfriend!
I am finally in a place where it’s “all about me” for a bit. For a few months I’m just tuning out all the distractions and focusing on ME. I’m 9 weeks into training for the Boston Marathon with a charity team, we meet every Saturday and it’s going very well. I’m dead last out of 150 runners each week, and 13 miles took me 4 hours last week in the snow—- but it’s going very well 🙂
To start, today is my 30th birthday and I could not be happier! I have been reading your blog for a while and I just love hearing all your encouraging life changes. This past year I have made several life changes myself and even run two half marathons (my first and second). So I can also say I’m happy for this blog. You inspire me! Keep it up!
A good thing in my life right now is getting back to church. It’s been 2 years since I went consistently, and my life has seemed more whole since I started going back this month. I’ve been focusing on not eating out the last two months, and now I’m ready to make more changes to my diet. I LOVE your variety and emphasis on veggies and fruits. Thanks for the inspiration!
The only good/GREAT/AMAZING thing in my life right now is JESUS CHRIST, nothing else really matters because all hope in him leaves me free to trust his guidance and will.
P.S I love your blog and have been following it for a while! I just want to say I have been praying for you as you seem to be going through some personal struggles. Good luck and look up for direction! 🙂
I just signed up for CrossFit Foundations at a local box. Yay, to trying something new!
Thos PB Choc Chip bars look divine!

I am thankful to have the opportunity to go to grad school and have a job I love, but have the perfect mix of family, friends, and boyfriend to keep the craziness in check!
I am really grateful for my fiance and the deep love we share…and also for our cats 🙂
I am thankful for the opportunity to be in college, having such a supportive and wonderful family, and a fiancee who is my best friend. Life is too short to dwell on what you don’t have. Live in the present! Awesome giveaway!
One happy thing in my life right now (among many) is that second semester starts on Monday. Can’t wait for new classes and teachers to enjoy! I always feel so energized and motivated when coming back to school after a long break.
My dog Hailey. She always puts a smile on my face no matter what. She was mysteriously sick a few weeks ago and couldnt walk well. Now she is back to normal like nothing ever happened and i feel truly blessed to have her still here with me. I am snuggling with her every chance i get:)
I finally overcame my fear of taking group exercise classes at my gym (thanks to snowboarding for the first time….go figure) and feel fabulous after 2 consecutive weeks of taking yoga, barsculpt, body pump and fusion strength classes.
Even though I’m missing my husband while he’s in Kenya, I am LOVING all of the free time to myself. It’s been one of the most relaxing weeks I’ve had in a long time.
My daughter Natalie is 10 and she is amazing. Last night she told me she worries when I teach late and don’t get home until after she goes to bed on Tuesday’s. She asked if I could teach earlier. As luck would have it the teacher who teaches before me was willing to swap. When I told her the news this morning she was beyond elated, like I gave her the world. Of course it is she who has given it to me.
The GOOD/GREAT/HAPPY thing in my life right now is the impending birth of my first daughter! Only 15 days away from my due date….and I can’t wait to meet this totally amazing little person!
I just celebrated a year of maintaining a 140 pound weight loss. Feels good to know that I will no longer be a statistic, and that being healthy and working hard does pay off.
Hi, love your blog! The happiest thing in my life right now is that i’m pregnant for the 1st time! The baby sure would enjoy some of your baked goods!!
I have finally cut the dead weight in my life. Bad boyfriend, negative friends, etc. I have started working with a personal trainer and he makes me feel good about what I can do
My sweet little guy who stuck out his arms this morning and said “hug mommy” and then told me “sanks” during our embrace. What a wonderful reminder to SLOW DOWN and enjoy the simple joys in life!
I’m about to have a weekend away from our two beautiful, energetic toddlers with my husband and when I return refreshed and ready to get back into full time mommyhood I’ll also be starting to train for my second half marathon in May.
I’m four months into yoga teacher training and I’m absolutely pumped to be able to say that, as of yesterday, I finally found the confidence to speak from my authentic voice while teaching.
Oh, and I’m pretty happy that my husband & I just moved into our first home. 🙂
I am thankful for my husband and 3 year old son who is excited about becoming a big brother come August 🙂
Wow, what a popular giveaway… not that I’m surprised with such awesome goodies. 🙂
One good thing in my life is the confidence I currently have to begin a new career. Wish me luck; I’ll need it at my interview tomorrow!
I’m glad that I have a job that allows me to travel and experience new places. I’ll be attending conferences in Las Vegas in March (I’ve been there twice already for conferences and never had to pay for the trip!) and Chicago for the first time in July, which will also allow me to visit with some distant inlaws. I’m excited about these upcoming trips!
This week, after a 6 year hiatus, after 2 back to back pregnancies, after way too long, I have tuned up my bike, unpacked my indoor trainer, compiled some playlists, and I’m getting back in the saddle. Literally. And I couldn’t be happier!
I start a new career as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on 2/20 and I can’t wait to start this new chapter in my life while caring for children in our community! In the meantime, I’m training for a 1/2 marathon and have committed to doing yoga daily (and feeling incredible). Great new beginnings!
My 6-month-old. Even though he refuses to sleep through the night and has nothing to do with solid foods, I can’t help but smile when he does. His energy and enthusiasm is contagious.
Right now I am so happy to have great friends in my life. Admittedly, over the past year I’ve had to reevaluate who was important and who was adding to my life rather than taking away from it. I made some hard decisions to cut out the negativity, and while it wasn’t easy, it feels so good now. I struggle daily with the decision that I made 3 years ago to move halfway across the country, away from my friends and family. I absolutely LOVE Denver, but it has been hard. Having a great support system and friend base here, and one that brings out the best in me, definitely helps me make it through the hard days 🙂
I am grateful for my job.. i went back to school to be a RN. I love the patient interaction and the challenge of being a new nurse in the ICU. I am also grateful for body combat and for turning 30 on sunday!
I am grateful for the opportunity that I have been given to receive an education. I am currently a senior in college and through the past four years of my life I have had so many new experiences, made so many new friends, and found the power to believe in my dreams and also the courage to know that I can make them happen. I can’t wait to graduate and hopefully find ways to inspire others to make a difference in the world with me!
A good thing in my life right now is that my fiance is finally done with his basic training in the army when I could only communicate to him through letters, and now is in officer candidate school where I can talk to him on the phone at night. Even though it is usually only about 10 minutes, I anxiously wait all day to hear his voice. I know that we may have a hard future ahead of us (there is a high possiblity of deployment for him) but I know that we can make it!
I, too, retired from a regular day job and started my own company this September. It’s so rewarding to pursue what you love and I’m so happy!
FINALLY selling our small house in town and beginning renovations on an old house in the country!! Enjoying time with my two young boys while we wait for our third baby to arrive this summer. 2012 is a big year of new beginnings for our family and I am filled with love and gratefulness for all of it!!
My high school senior has been accepted to 3 college dance programs and we are waiting to hear back from his last audition at Butler.
I am thankful that I can run! I’m just starting my training for marathon #2 and I just try to be thankful and happy for all the running I’m able to do. It makes my heart (and body! …and mind!) joyful 🙂
I finally mustered up the courage to try a naturalpathic doctor and my appointment was this morning. It was the most encouraging doctor visit I’ve ever had. She listened for a full half hour, and then problem solved for another half hour. She has suggestions, answers, and gave hope. I’m so excited to find new answers and solutions to some of my health concerns.
I am thankful that my husband and I are buying our very first home! Thankful for your great blog too !
One great/happy thing in my life is my son who is 10 weeks old! Nothing better than baby smiles 🙂
I am thankful for so many things in my life. My supportive husband and extended family most of all, my health, training for my first half marathon (and finally being able to run again after an injury), and my career teaching elementary school art. My students inspire me everyday (and keep me laughing all day too)!
What a great post. I’ve really enjoyed reading everyone’s words. Lots of positive energy being thrown around here! =)
Hearing my 3 kids say, “I love you Mommy” in the morning, throughout the day, and especially at the end of each (very long, exhausting) day. Makes it ALL worth it.
Family, Friends, and lots of running!
I have the most beautiful niece who brings so much joy to my life!
I feel so thankful for my faith, husband, family and friends and also for being a part of the yoga community. There’s nothing quite like a hot, steamy class to get your gratitude flowing!!
First, it would have to be my students. I’m a 3rd grade Special Ed teacher and they challenge me in new ways every day…but continually push me to be a better teacher! No matter how hard or long of a day it has been, I always find myself smiling or laughing with them at some point 🙂
And definitely my upcoming challenges and accomplishments….skiing for the first time in Colorado, running my first half marathon in May (just started running in September) and graduating with my Masters degree in Reading Specialty this June. It’s going to be an exciting, challenging and busy 5 months!
Good/Great/Happy: love and hope always find a way back into my life and the lives of those around me. What a blessing.
love to you, Jen!
I am greatful to be surrounded by those who love, support, and listen to me. It’s necessary on a basic level!
Love your blog! So thankful that my sister is pregnant, my brother just had a healthy baby, my father is healthy and have been smiling nonstop since meeting the man of my dreams 🙂 he makes me smile all day and night and grateful to be alive. Your ghandi picture is my new lock screen photo! Thank you!
I am quite simply thankful for being able to open my eyes, and take a breath each morning. I love the feeling of being alive, and knowing each day holds beautiful, abundant possibilities : )
I am most thankful, happiest, etc., to have my wonderful corgi Coconut in my life. This past year I finally started digging myself out of the depression caused by the death of my grandma, divorce, and gaining 100 pounds. I’ve since lost 75 pounds, started running and have am living life again. This may sound nuts, but my adorable dog was right there by my side through everything. She loves me unconditionally as I do her. She runs with me and sits on my lap when I need to just cry things out. Seriously, my dog rocks.
The greatest thing in my life right now is my 5 month old son – just such a gift. i was told i couldn’t have children after my daughter (6) and found out I was pregnant with Owen just when I had given up (adoption, IVF, etc.) and accepted that we’d be a one-child family. He’s SUCH a great baby – sweet disposition, big smiles for everyone… We couldn’t be a happier family.
