I have been feeling overwhelming gratitude for all the good in my life.
Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.

For the arrival of spring and these beautiful flowers blooming in our front yard. Daylight Savings Time starts this weekend and I am so looking forward to longer days and more time spent out in the warm sunshine.
For peanut butter (they can’t all be serious! :)). My friend Cristen introduced me to this variety of peanut butter from Trader Joe’s and I am in love.
For my sweet Sullie who makes me smile every single day. My parents just adopted a golden retriever yesterday from a rescue organization and it makes my heart so happy that this dog now has a home. (I will post a picture when I have one!)
For my fabulous fellow yoga teacher trainees. I am so lucky to be a part of such an amazing group of people who I know will be in my life for many years to come.
For my supportive husband who is helping more than I could ever ask while I’ve been so busy with teacher training. From cooking dinner to helping with laundry to just being there with a hug when I get home. I am especially grateful that we will be enjoying a much-needed vacation together soon (and an update on that – we are still trying to decide where to go!).
What are you feeling grateful for right now?
I’m grateful that my work is letting me go to Texas to see my husband before he deploys. If you can’t tell, it’s definitely on the forefront of my mind. ๐
That is so awesome Alaina. I know it’s at the forefront of your mind and I am thinking about you!
I’m grateful that I had a wake-up call, and hopeful that I have it in me to make the changes I know I *must*.
And I’m grateful for the inspiration I get from bloggers, if I can be all gratitude-greedy for a minute. ๐
Happy weekend!
Isn’t it crazy how things just hit you sometimes and you just know that something has to happen? I love that.
And I am so inspired by my fellow bloggers as well! ๐
Damn you seem happy! Must be all that yoga, squeezing out any ounce of negativity. ๐
You know it…although the morning after I wrote this post I had to do a superflow class and for some strange reason I literally cried through the first 30 minutes of it. What’s up with that!?!? I’m blaming it on caffeine withdrawal! ๐
I’m grateful I’m healthy enough and able to train for/run an 8th marathon in May. I don’t know what I would do without running!!!
YES! YAY for injury-free marathon training! Our bodies are so amazing.
Sweet post – and Sullie is so cute!
What a gorgeous pic of Sullie ๐ I’m feeling really grateful to my boss right now, who has been super understanding about a personal issue. Sometimes that can be hit or miss!
Jackie – I have been blessed by the “boss gods” and have always had really understanding and caring supervisors. It makes so much difference in your professional happiness!
I am grateful for the health of myself and my family. So many families I know are dealing with the illness of a loved one. I treasure my family and feel so blessed they we are all doing well.
Sullie reminds me of the golden retrievers we had when I was growing up – beautiful dog!
I am grateful for my family every day too. A close bond with family is so special!
Speaking of families…goldens are the best family dogs!
That’s my favorite peanut butter too! Plus, it’s pretty cheap. I’m grateful for my new job, more daylight(!), and all the new things that are happening this spring. ๐
Kelly – I am so excited about your new job!!! We’ll have to meet up for some after work runs now that it’s staying light longer and we work close to each other!
Dear Jen,
Thank you for a post to remind all of us of our blessings. I thought of you today as I read a New York Times article. It’s in the SundayStyle section entitles: “Teacher: Experience Needed”. It’s a woman’s journey on becoming a Bikram yogi. It in no way mirrors your journey but I thought you might find it interesting. Keep up the good work and good luck with vacation planning. Mary Ann
You are so welcome Mary Ann! I must check out this article!
