Hello! Tomorrow is Friday and I am just getting a chance to sit down and share this post with the highlights of our long weekend in Florida. To say that I hit the ground running in Charlotte would be an understatement. It has been an absolutely insane two days and I’m flying out to PA to lead a weekend workshop on Friday.
It is also taking me forever to write this post because Netflix suggested that I watch their new show Selling Sunset and I can’t stop watching it. And for the record this is not an endorsement that you should watch it. It is reality TV in all of its glory.
Back on track…
Our trips to Florida make my heart happy. It’s been a blessing to be able to share so much of Finn’s first year with my family and being there is truly my happy place.
Here are some photos from our weekend.
Water baby. He’s been taking swim lessons since he was six months old and he LOVES the water!
The BEST weather and CLEAREST water on this trip.
So much time outside. Outdoor living is my favorite. I need to upgrade my patio in Charlotte for the spring/summer season. Let me know if you have suggestions or ideas. My dream is to have a screen porch one day but not in the cards for my rental.
Sunsets.
My dad and Finn.
Two peas in a pod. Finn and I attended the last event of the season for the snowbirds and it was a pizza social. I cracked up to find these two sharing pizza.
My mom got him this sweet swim outfit and hat. I’m so exited that it’s bathing suit weather again! I can’t wait for Finn to be a beach baby this summer!
I mean….I wish I could say that he didn’t try to put a fistful of sand in his mouth.
Playing patty cake.
My mom and I went outlet shopping and got some awesome deals!
Beach walk with my mom and my babe on our last day.

Toes in the sand.
My frequent flyer was quite the entertainer on the flight home.
Until next time…which will be soon! 🙂
Where is your happy place?
I love being near the ocean, but I live in the desert. There is a stark beauty about the desert, but the sound and smell of the surf are so soothing to me.
That water looks amazing!! My sister has a place in Cape Coral, FL and I try and visit at least once a year. I’m on the west coast. There’s nothing like a warm weather vacation when it’s cold weather time, unless of course you add family into the mix. Have fun this weekend!
Beautiful pics!! Such a gorgeous little baby and you both look so happy!
Since you’ve done so much flying and traveling with Finn- would you consider writing a travel tips post for infant traveling? (Or maybe you have and I missed it?)
I’m flying in May for the first time with my baby – he will be 10 months old… and I’m sooo nervous about it!! (It’s an 11 hour flight ?)
My daughter is 8 months and hates water! I go to the beach every summer and this year will be her first beach trip. I hope you can share any good tips for having a fun day at the beach with a baby. I’m thinking she might get her toes wet but probably wont go into the water this year.
Where at in Florida do you visit? It seems lovely… we r on the hunt for a second home in Florida and trying to explore our different options to make a great choice?
Thank you)
Finn looks like he had a major growth spurt! What a big boy, so cute!
