Happy first gameday of the year college football fans! I am so excited that football season is here! Let me remind you where our loyalties lie…

With the GEORGIA BULLDOGS!!! I was born and raised in Georgia and have been a Georgia fan for as long as I can remember. Brandon and I met in college at the University of Georgia! It is so much fun to be a SEC football fan. Gamedays are pretty much like Christmas morning for us! ๐
Here are some gameday memories from over the years.
2004 with Meghan and Michelle.
2004 with Brandon
2004 with Michelle, Ryan and Brandon (and friend Joey in the background!)
Georgia v. Florida in 2005 in Jacksonville with Michelle and Meghan
Georgia v. Alabama in 2007 in Tuscaloosa with Cristen (most fun away game ever!).
Must admit that I LOVE the tailgating setup in Tuscaloosa.
Celebrating the Dawgs victory in overtime against Alabama with tears in my eyes!
(We were living in Alabama at the time so this was a BIG deal!)
Georgia v. Alabama in 2008 in Athens. Sadly, we did not win this game and I actually cried in the stadium because I didn’t want to go back to Alabama and here all the Bama fans gloat at work. ๐
Georgia v. Florida in 2008 in Jacksonville (the world’s largest outdoor cocktail party!)
Georgia v. South Carolina in 2009 in Athens with best friends Ryan, Brandon, Michelle, Meghan and Josh.
Looking forward to another fun season of cheering on the Dawgs! ๐
Are you a college football fan? What team?
College football is my favorite time of the year and I love the South Carolina Gamecocks!!! ๐ (USC Alum ’05) Gahhh, I’m getting old.
I’m an 05 grad too! Hard to believe it’s already been 5 years!!!
I’m from Athens! I just moved to NJ two years ago for nursing school…hearing all of my friends getting excited for gamedays makes me sad but now I know I can read your blog haha
So cool that you are from Athens! I miss Athens so much on gamedays. We can usually only make it to one or two games a year now. It’s an experience like no other! ๐
Lol…I wish I liked football. All the festivities seem fun, but I just find football to be soooo boring.
I am only really into Georgia football. I get pretty bored while I’m watching other random games! The festivities are fun though!!!
Obviously you know my loyalties, though actually I grew up as a Georgia fan because both my parents graduated from there. I saw the light though when it came time to pick a college. ๐ Fun post – Brandon’s hair has changed more over the years than yours has!
Josie – Brandon’s sister and her boyfriend are over tonight and we just all got a good laugh over your comment (at Brandon’s expense). SO TRUE! Dying to hear how yoga went today!
aww, now I feel bad – poor brandon!
Yoga was awesome! It was harder than I expected and I felt a little drunk afterward, but I’m already looking forward to my next class!
I feel a bit out of place as a west coast/Pac 10 fan. Huge Oregon State fan, married to an Oregon alum who also attended my rival high school, so it makes football season VERY interesting. Stumbled on your blog a few days ago and am really enjoying it
We, too, celebrated College Game Day Kickoff…had a bunch of folks over and grilled some of Joe’s chicken (much better than his July 4 version!!) with sides contributed by all…HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!
