It’s been a good day. I had my first 5 a.m. wake up call in a long time to teach a yoga/mobility private. It was awesome and totally worth the early morning. I planned on coming home for breakfast but got caught up at the gym and ended up teaching a class so I just grabbed a bar to hold me over.
My lunch was worth the wait. I came home and knocked out a quick three mile run and showered and then threw together this egg scramble with all the veggies in the fridge/freezer. Remember my “All Hail The Grilled Cheese” post? I need to write an “Ode To The Egg Scramble” post. It’s such a great meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
After lunch I went back into the gym to train a client and work. I am loving that I’ve been able to incorporate more training and yoga privates into my schedule. I just love working one-on-one with people and I am so lucky to have the best clients!
Peanut butter and jelly smoothie before teaching BodyPump (yes, I still do that ;)). Peanut butter, banana, blueberries, soy milk and protein powder.
Dinner at The Liberty with a friend after class. Highlights included Old Bay boiled peanuts, mussels with a smoky tomato sauce, scallops with fresh figs and pork sliders.
Wine and chocolate for dessert. And not just any chocolate…a Vosges Barcelona Bar with hickory smoked almonds, sea salt and milk chocolate.
I finally colored my hair today. My stylist totally shut down my my Jessica Biel inspiration but honestly, I’m glad he did. I think it would have been a bit of a shock given that I never color. He offered a happy medium and we did an all over dark brown and then painted a few light pieces underneath. I happened to wear my hair curly to the appointment and he said it helped him to pick out where my hair naturally kinda sections together so that he could create a more realistic blend of light/dark. I love it!
I’m feeling good. And happy. Have an amazing Friday!
So jealous of the flexibility of your schedule!
Are you not blogging anymore?
I live in Alabama, have lived in Dallas and enjoyed your blog?
Noticed it’s not been updated lately.
we’re all just human, perfectly imperfect. thank you for doing but not knowing how much it means. cheers to the “want to do list”. you’re one of my dearest friends and i hope you always will be. – hush yo fuss.
Fun post! From the food to the training to the beautiful hair – you look great! I think your stylist chose correctly, even though I was all over the Jessica Biel inspiration at first – just love it! Have a happy Friday and a continuing happy weekend! ๐

Your hair looks so great!! How do you get it so straight/smooth and frizz free in the Charlotte humidity?? Any special products you use or blow-drying tips?
Love the hair! I also love hearing about your on the go eats! I have a similar schedule to you…in and out of home, back and forth to the gym, so it’s neat to see how others make it work!
Is that wine a malbec? If so that’s the same one I was drinking last night! Got it for $4.99 at Trader Joe’s and it was really good.

You make me want to do something fun to my hair! I’ve been completely color-free for a couple years now and get the itch to switch things up every now and then. I just hate the maintenance. You new style is super cute though ๐
