Happy Saturday friends. Random fact…I’ve never bought a lottery ticket that’s not a scratch off but I’m thinking I might need to change that today! Did you see that the Mega Millions is like 1.6 BILLION!? Someone’s going to have to win eventually, right?
The theme of this post is going to be a lot of randomness as I fill you in on what we’ve been up to over the last week.
I shot photos at Metro with Scott Broome for an upcoming post about preventing running injuries. Finn cheered me on from the sidelines.
Our friends at Larabar sent a fun package. The timing was funny because I also just listened to a How I Built This podcast episode with Lara Merriken, the founder of Larabar. They’ve always been a favorite of mine when it comes to bars…especially the peanut butter chocolate chip flavor. It tastes like a candy bar!
Flourless peanut butter cookies + homemade sourdough. I’ve been doing so much baking lately.
Smoothie at Green Brothers Juice. So many people asked what was in this…it’s their AB&J and has strawberry, banana, almond butter, vanilla whey protein, spirulina, flax oil and apple juice, which I subbed in coconut water for.
We went for two walks on the day that Finn turned 5 months! We met a friend for a long walk at Freedom Park.
And then took the girls for a walk on the trails. I am SO GLAD that it’s cool enough to babywear! Finn loves it!
I had a Visa gift card that I decided to use towards AirPods. I’ve heard great things so I’m excited to give them a try. Of course, right when I purchase them there are all of these articles saying to wait until October 30 because Apple might be releasing an updated version. Now to decide whether to go ahead and open them or hold out.
Finn made his TV debut on Friday morning! We went on Charlotte Today with Emily Breeze and baby Merci to talk about our Zero2Run program and how to fit in working out when you’re a busy mom.
Merci and Finn are just four days apart in age. Looks like they’re going to be friends. 🙂 And I’m crying a little over how grown up Finn looks in this photo…my little man!
Off to enjoy the rest of Saturday. We have another walking date planned with a friend. I am all about walking for get togethers these days. It’s such a nice way to spend time with friends.
Do you buy lottery tickets?
Do you prefer babywearing or strolling? I like both!
Do you schedule walking or working out dates with friends?
The wee ones are so precious!
Love these updates and following your and Finn’s journey! He seems like the sweetest!!
My office pooled money and we all bought lotto tickets! That is the only time I ever do it so about 1-2x a year. We actually won $4 off the Powerball and used the proceeds to purchase additional Mega Millions tickets lol.
A lot of my friends are from CrossFit so we do schedule WOD dates! In fact I had one last night with a girlfriend who had been away for a few weeks so we did a WOD from a few weeks ago that neither of us had done (it was a long one with DUs and power snatches and HSPUs!) then we recovered with dinner and drinks after 🙂 Favorite kind of dates!
But AirPods at Costco… way cheaper!! 🙂
My family has a tradition of putting a couple scratch offs in everyone’s stockings at Christmas- but that’s it!
My two cents about the air pods…hold out just to see! Only 9 more days 🙂 (I’m also thinking in terms of if a new running watch was about to be released, I’d like to see the updates and then decide, prices always decrease too with a new update)
Looks like a fun beginning of fall, thanks for sharing!
They must be re-releasing older episodes because I remember listening to that podcast before. I love hearing how companies and brands that I use were created.
Babywearing! I miss it so much. I didn’t even have a stroller until she was 8 months old. I got a stroller off a friend for $25 so that I could go to Baby Boot Camp workout classes (which used a stroller kind of heavily for the workout). I have done a lot of walking dates either babywearing, stroller or no baby… but I would say walking dates have become more frequent since having a child because getting out for happy hour isn’t as easy these days.
