Hey, hey!
The Halloween candy has been purchased (Reese’s Pumpkins and an M&M variety pack) and right now I’m just trying to pace myself on the candy eating so that there’s some left for the trick or treaters!
I’m seriously so excited to show you guys Finn’s Halloween costume. I think you’re going to love it! ๐
Here are some of our recent adventures.
We spent last weekend in the Tennessee mountains for weekend three of my yoga teacher training at Vida Hot Yoga. The drive between Asheville and Kingsport is stunning.
This weekend we covered things like warm up sequencing, the five koshas, assisting, how to cue and types of cues and much more. I love this studio and my group of teacher trainees so much!
Related…in both photos above I am wearing Lululemon’s Swiftly Long Sleeve. It’s a cool weather staple for me!
We had a really fun Monday back in Charlotte that included a lunch date with a friend at the new CAVA location in Charlotte (I’m a fan!). Afterwards, we were running an errand when I spotted a new to me French cafe. Oh friends, get ready to see much more from Renaissance Patisserie. It is the cutest spot and their menu is wonderful. I picked up two pastries to go and they were gone in under 24 hours. By far the best I have had in Charlotte in all my time living here.
The grocery store is one of our favorite adventures! (For real.) It’s become so much more enjoyable since Finn hangs out in his Binxy Baby. I can’t even tell you how many comments we get on it every time we shop!
Oh and this was Finn’s first time wearing shoes in his five months of life. He totally doesn’t “need” them but I had these cute Adidas and I didn’t want him to outgrow them before he got a chance to wear them!
The weather is so perfect for long dog walks. I am so grateful for the cool and crisp temperatures because my Sullie girl is back to her normal walking self. This summer she frequently “walk striked” due to the heat and humidity but we’ve been going 3-4 miles with no problems lately. She’s doing pretty good for 12!
Finn has liked the transition out of using the infant car seat adapter and into the actual BOB stroller. He’s got much more room to move around. I can’t believe that after all of those months of having to avoid the heat and use a stroller fan that I now have to bundle him up.
Annnnddd so much of our days look like this. This little one is such a wiggle worm these days but loves to be held and close most of the time. I’ll take it while I can get it! ๐
Signing off.
Jen: you are so gorgeous! You have the most beautiful skin. xx
I very much agree!! ๐
I miss those lounging baby days!! They can seem long day by day but it goes by quick! I loved snuggling up in comfy clothes especially around the holidays. My daughter is almost 11 and I can still get some cuddles but it’s getting harder. Love how you seem to be enjoying all the little moments!!
Yes! I can see lots of Christmas cuddles in our future! ๐ It is the sweetest time and I am just trying to soak up this season in life. I know it will be over before I know it and I’ll wish for these days back again.
Jen, I have always loved your blogโas a reader from the very beginning!โbut I REALLY REALLY love you in your new life and rhythm with Finn. I have an 11 month old so I know what everything can look like behind the scenes, but you look so at ease in your new role as a mom and it is so wonderful to follow along. Keep being strong and amazing to all the fitness-loving, new mom foodies out there!!!
Casey – your comment made my day. Thank you so much for taking a moment to share it. Finn has changed my life in the most incredible ways. I am grateful for the village of support I have around me through this online community and so many other moms.
You and Finn are so stinkin’ CUTE!! Also I’ve started to compile a list of baby gifts as 3 friends are going to have their own in early 2019 – the Binxy is on it!
I can assure you that your friends will LOVE it!
