I hope you guys are having a wonderful week so far. I so appreciate the kind and encouraging words about the release of my yoga book. It’s a little surreal to hold it in my hands 18 months after its inception. I need to write a post about the book writing process from start to finish since I’ve now done it twice. It’s definitely an experience.
So today I just wanted to lighten it up around here and share a few snapshots of life lately along with a few things I’ve been loving.
First and foremost, spending an entire week with my Mema.
We went through a bunch of old pictures on my last night in Georgia and I had to share this picture with you. It’s my grandmother when she was a little girl with her grandmother’s golden retriever, Bob. I love this so much!
Also loving this hat. It was my grandfather’s and my dad and I found it in storage. I brought it home with me.
These family rules.
Hot chocolate. The good kind made from Hershey’s cocoa powder and topped with lots of marshmallows.
Coming home to these girls. They spend most of the day parked in front of the storm door watching the world go by.
The pups have been loving life this week because I’ve been cooking all of their food! We ran out of food the day before the scheduled food delivery and then the next day the delivery went to our old address. Needless to say, my creations of rice, oatmeal, ground turkey, eggs, bananas, greek yogurt, etc. have been a hit. I’m not sure that they’ll even want to eat their real food again after these feasts! (The oatmeal and greek yogurt bowl were for human consumption! This was breakfast on Tuesday for the whole crew.)
Sweet Sullie patiently waiting for her “oink, oink” to eat.
Let’s stay with food for a minute…I LOVE these new dipping shells from Cape Cod. We have been through two bags this week and it’s only Wednesday. We do a a lot of chips and hummus or salsa snacking.
The chips are especially good dipped in this Mi Elote salsa. It has only seven ingredients…tomatoes, garlic, lime juice, onions, jalepenos, cilantro and sea salt. That’s it! I found it at Kroger in Georgia.
When am I NOT loving peanut butter? I am boring and always buy natural salted creamy or crunchy peanut butter by my fiance always brings home flavored PB. This week we’re working with Wild Friends Honey Peanut Butter with Crunchy Pretzel Bits and Peanut Butter & Co. Cinnamon Raisin Swirl. I am dying to try Wild Friends’ seasonal flavors.
I think all three of these are going into my cart on Amazon. And then I’m going to find a secret hiding place for them! 😉
Let’s switch gears and talk about work and productivity. Yesterday I finally got my workstation up and running in the new house. I connect my MacBook Pro to a Thunderbolt display so that I can work with dual monitors. I also love the large monitor for the graphic design work that I do. (I could write a whole post with an ode to the Thunderbolt…) I needed to get a new keyboard to get it all functioning again (because I find it weird to type on my laptop keyboard while looking at a different monitor). My last Apple keyboard somehow ended up being used in the office at the studio so I finally stopped by the Apple store to get a replacement.
I was not excited to find that the price of the Magic Keyboard was up to $99 but once I learned about the accessory upgrades, it was a little more palatable. One of the Apple associates told me it’s because they just released new keyboards, trackpads and mouses (is that the plural of a computer mouse? I don’t even know) that now charge with a lightning cable (like your phone) instead of batteries. I rationalized that it was worth it not to have to hassle with double a batteries anymore. Apparently, the built-in battery is long-lasting and can go up to a month between charges.
And finally, something to make you smile. Tell me I’m not alone in this from time-to-time. 🙂
Tell me about what you’ve been loving lately!
Any must have office accessories that help with your productivity?
Any favorite new nut butter flavors?

“I LOVE the Sidney Lace Solid in Dark Green. Nothing better for sloshing around outside in cold, wet weather in the middle of winter.”
Erin, please send me an email at [email protected]!
Have a great day everyone!
That picture of your grandmother is so cute!
I found the wild friends pumpkin spice peanut butter in stores and it is so good! I can’t wait to try out the cookie one now!
I know, I love it so much! We ordered all of the pb flavors today! 🙂
So many comforts in this post 🙂
And peanut butter- holy smokes!!! I just purchased all three flavors (smh)
Yes, a warm and happy post and we bought all of them too!
Any nut butter flavor 😉 I am dieing for the gingerbread wild friends!!
I’m also loving this rawmio blend of almond, chia and goji berry! It’s so good
Oh yum, that sounds awesome!
The seasonal flavors of Wild Friends are SO. GOOD. I have the gingerbread and the sugar cookie, and they delicious. The gingerbread has such great molasses flavor and somehow the combination of vanilla and coconut makes the sugar cookie taste just like a cookie! 10/10 recommend.
Good to know! We ordered them today. That sugar cookie sounds SO good!
I giggled out loud at the pic of your babies in front of the door. I love the frog pose! In this precise moment, I’m loving my quiet house with my two little girls napping peacefully. I’m also loving my double header workout tonight: teaching BodyPump and BodyFlow!
Oh those frog legs kill me every time. They both do it and it’s so cute! Your evening sounds PERFECT! 🙂
That’s such a sweet picture of you and your grandmother! I’ve been DYING to try the Wild Friends seasonal peanut butters. I seriously may purchase them tonight 🙂
You totally should! I love their peanut butters. Never disappoint!
A whole week with your grandma is so special! I love spending time with my relatives too. Also I just want to add that your skin always looks AMAZING and glowing! <3
I feel SO grateful that I was able to spend that time with her. I don’t think I’ve spent a whole week with her since high school. And thank you so much for the compliment on my skin! It’s been a journey to get it to where it is now!
Love the pic of your grandmother and the “new” hat. Come visit sometime….I live 20 mins from Hershey……their chocolate is so much better fresh from the plant!!!! I’m going to go through my emails today…..I’m pretty sure I owe you one!
Yum!! So tempting!
