Happy Valentine’s Day to all of my beautiful, loving and generally amazing readers.

My Valentine’s Day has consisted of training four clients, working and eating a peanut butter chocolate chunk cookie before 10 a.m. Part two will involve running and teaching BodyPump…to all five people who show up at class…and most likely more cookies. 😉
Since I don’t have much to report (I haven’t even taken pictures of anything I’ve eaten today), I thought I would spread the love and link to some websites, blogs and posts that I have enjoyed lately. I’m also offering two giveaways so read on!
Yoga Dork – I love this blog that is smartly written, often humorous and frequently educational. It covers everything yoga related from a news, lifestyle and pop culture perspective. Recent favorite posts have been Yoga With A Broken Heart, this interview with Adam Levine about his yoga practice and Yoga Class Playlists are the New MTV.
Danielle Laporte – I was first introduced to Danielle Laporte through her Credo For Making It Happen video. Then I read The Firestarter Sessions and basically started stalking her via every social media channel possible – her blog, facebook, e-mail updates, Twitter and Pinterest. I recommend you do the same. And if you haven’t read The Firestarter Sessions DO IT NOW. Especially if you are at a point in your life where you feel stuck, you’re wondering what path to take, asking yourself what’s next or just need a general kick in the ass and some inspiration.
In fact, I want you to read it so badly that I’m going to give away a copy via Audible.com because listening to Danielle read it to you is just that much more powerful. Leave a comment below and tell me why you want it! This giveaway is open to everyone.
Attagirl.com – the CEO and founder of Attagirl.com recently reached out to me to share her website and mission.
“Attagril is a community of women helping each other be and stay active. At Attagirl women can connect, set goals, share successes, and more importantly, encourage each other on their fitness journeys, whether it be training for a marathon or dropping a few pounds.”
There is a cool goal sharing feature and you can send your friends “attagirls” for encouragement.
Social Dress Shop – many of you may remember the post I wrote back in November about my friend Sarah’s new online dress boutique, Social Dress Shop. Well, I’m excited to announce that she’s expanded her offerings and is now offering a “Budget Chic” category with tons of fabulous wallet-friendly dresses.
Social Dress Shop is currently offering a 25% off discount for all orders placed today! Definitely check it out.
Multiply Delicious – I am so excited to share this fabulous blog with you. Multiply Delicious is a written by Heather who is a mom of twin girls, Paleo chef and an amazing CrossFit athlete. Heather recently moved to Charlotte and joined Metro CrossFit. She just published her first e-cookbook, 70 Recipes for a Paleo Lifestyle. It’s full of beautiful photography and delicious recipes.
I’m giving away a copy of the e-cookbook to a reader. Leave a comment below and tell me why you want it! This giveaway is open to everyone. And a note for transparency…I am not participating in Heather’s affiliate program. I just want to see her sell the crap out of this cookbook and get the success she deserves!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I want the cookbook!! I just started following Multiply Delicious on FB, but had no idea she had a link to you, Jen! Always looking for new Paleo recipes for myself and family!! And, Jen, I have to say this – I absolutely LOVE your blog. It is my favorite. I am a pilates instructor, certified personal trainer, and want to get CrossFit coach certified (basically I’d love to have your job, as much as I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my own! haha!!), so I love it when I see a new blog post from you pop up!
I LOVE new recipe books — and my husband and I already eat a mostly paleo diet. This would be a fantastic addition and enrich our dinners!
I’ve just begun eating meat again so I would love a copy of Heather’s book for some healthy inspiration!
I graduated from college in December, finished Yoga Teacher Training at the end of January, and now I’m teaching. I am totally having a quarter life crisis and unsure of the direction I want to take my life — should I stick with my degree or go down the route of yoga .. or maybe continue with my education?! Maybe if I read the book (or have the book read to me, in this case), I’ll have one of those light bulb moments and finally make a move! 🙂
Thanks for the link Jen! You rock. Look forward to staying in touch.
I would love that cookbook! I’ve been interested in going paleo, and have been experimenting with gluten-free for a while (I just love cheese, yogurt and peanut butter too much)
I’ve been wanting to read The Fire Starter Sessions ever since I heard about it! I’m currently serving as a Girls Education and Empowerment Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso, West Africa so new books are rare. I’ve tried to continue my personal yoga practice through podcasts and books but haven’t found anything lately that’s really inspired me. Maybe this is it?!
I am an Autism Teacher , mom to a three year old , wife and have the same schedule
Most days , my yoga and workouts have suffered .
I would love to listen to audiable.com to get a pep on my step .
I would also Love the cookbook .
I tend to put my class , students and daughter and need to revamp my diet and get some good energy back.
Thanks !
Love your blog it keeps me going.
I would love this cookbook because, although I do not eat paleo, many of the recipes interest me and are great considering my sensitivities!
I would love a copy of the cookbook! I have been following a pretty strict Paleo diet for the past year and am in a rut – I need some inspiration to help me stop making the same easy-to-batch-cook-on-Sunday crockpot meals and casseroles! I will check out her blog in the meantime – thank you for sharing!
I just started CrossFit after being intimidated for a while. I recently saw my Box post about an upcoming Paleo-like, Whole eating challenge. I plan on participating and having the cook book would be awesome to get ideas for tasty meals!!
I really want to start incorporating paleo meals into my diet–I want to see a leaner body–and I know I need to clean up what I eat
I want the cookbook, because I want to see your friend succeed too! Plus, my cook books are so out of date and a new one that looks as good as this, would be a fabulous addition to my kitchen. I would totally place on the counter top on one of those easels. HAPPY V-DAY! XOXO
I want the audible version of The Firestarter Sessions, please! I have dabbled a bit in Danielle LaPorte but not purchased anything. I am at a point in my life in which I feel quite confused. I recently became an RN and just started my first job. Right before I started I traveled throughout Colombia. I loved it and I want to return for a time…but I won’t be able to work as a nurse. I know what is in my heart, but I need the inspiration to have the courage!
I would love the audible version of The Firestarter Sessions! It’s been on my “to-read” list ever since you mentioned it in a previous post. I have dealt with some difficult health situations in the past 6 months that have led me to question basically everything about my life and what’s really important. In addition, I only have one more year of college left before I either go to grad school or enter the real world (eek!), so it would be great to have Danielle’s dose of inspiration and perspective as I make some big decisions.
I would love the firestarter series! I have browsed around on her website before (after you posted a video of hers) and am intrigued by her message. If you say it’s amazing I trust you and want to drink the kool-aid too!
I would love to have a copy of Heather’s book! I have always loved your blog and admire your way of living. You have motivated me to live a more active and healthy lifestyle. I am an avid runner and share with you your love of peanut butter! It is the best. I recently just started the paleo diet. Heather’s recipe book would help me add delicious recipes to my routine. Thank you for introducing me to Multiply Delicious, and I would be thrilled to win!
I think it would be a really good time for me to listen to the Firestarter series or anything by Danielle Laporte. I feel like I’m at a time where I’m questioning everything I’m doing in my life, and having so many conflicting interests and feelings…with love/relationships, work, my fitness direction, what the hell I should be devoting time to, where I should move, everything. I recently went to India for a month for Yoga Teacher Training (based in Ashtanga…and I credit you for helping me along that road, as I feel like I’m so similar to you in career path and interests). It just completely changed my outlook on life and makes me wonder if I’m really doing what I should be doing, or what is best for me or best for the world. I’m currently a graphic designer, but feel so drawn to fitness and nutrition that I wonder if all my design training was a waste. And I’ve been a group fitness instructor for over 3 years, and have just found my Ashtanga practice, yet it often conflicts SO MUCH with traditional methods of fitness training, eating, breathing, mind set, etc. Am just feeling so lost at the moment…and would love for the right direction to just show up for me. Or that I suddenly grow the guts to make a direction.
After pouring my life story out hahaha long story short…I think I could really benefit and use Danielle’s help 🙂 Thank you for your blog and for sharing your life. It helps that there’s someone else out there that I can relate to!
This looks like the perfect tool to remake over my runners diet! Looking for a change of a lifetime! #lovemelovemybody
xox
I would love the cookbook because I have been researching and reading a bunch about going paleo and am considering trying it out. I’d love some recipes for inspiration.
I have heard here and there about Danielle Laporte and I think it’s time for me to dig a little deeper! I just graduated from college in December and moved back home. I started working at a new full-time job (temporary) last week actually and there have been talks of it becoming permanent. I am so unsure if this is the route I “should” be taking or if I should continue my temporary contract and continue to apply to positions more related in my field. Years ago I would have thought by the age of 24 I would have had so many more things figured out, but it is what it is. Just looking for some signs on which way to go. 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
I need to make some big decisions re: life direction. Not my strength lol. Any help is welcomed!!
I want it so I can continue to try new paleo recipes and try to lose the weight I’ve been trying to get off for years!
I would love to listen along with Danielle with the Fire Starter Sessions! I’m currently struggling to figure out my next step in terms of my career. I’ve followed your journey out of the corporate world into the fitness world and have been incredibly inspired. I know that my journey will be my own, but it is a comfort to know that others have gone through a similar period. I’d love to be inspired by the lessons in Fire Starter Sessions.
I want to win because I am interested to see the different paleo recipes.
I would love to just try new recipes!
I would really love to listen to Danielle! I listen to lectures while walking our pup each morning and I’ve recently been moved to ones that are meditation and mind-body oriented. I’m also at a point in my life where I feel stuck and am trying to figure out where I’m going next. While I’m excited about the possibilities that are ahead of me, sometimes it’s hard not to get weighed down or trapped in the rut. I think Danielle’s work would be a great help!
And the Paleo cookbook wouldn’t be bad either since cooking is part of my getting unstuck!
I love Danielle Laporte. The first time that I heard of her was on your blog. Now I’m on her email list and love all the inspiration she gives! So I really would love to listen to her read The Firestarter Sessions and get some inspiration!
The Paleo cookbook would also be an awesome addition to our newlywed home. I don’t cook nearly enough and really need some healthy & yummy recipes to learn to cook with.
Can you post the pb+choc cookie recipe when you have a chance?
I really need some cooking motivation so I’d love to win!
I would LOVE to win The Firestarter Sessions. After spending most of my teens and all of my 20s battling an eating disorder, I’m finally recovered and healthy – but I haven’t really figured out who I am or where my passions lie. It sounds like this book offers some incredible insight and nudges down that path.
I would love to read (listen!) to The Firestarter Sessions- sounds great!
I know paleo is probably good for me. No what and no dairy, etc., but i am so in denial. I love dairy and the occasional steak. Maybe If i had this cookbook it would inspire me and “show me the way”
I would love to try this cook book as my husband is not eating paleo and I would like
To be able to cook good meals for him.
I would love to win this recipe book because I am very interested in the Paleo lifestyle. I would love to learn about Paleo ingredients and how to cook certain Paleo meals. I think it would be great to be introduced to the Paleo lifestyle with some amazing tasting recipes!
I’d love the cookbook! I’m trying to change my eating habits as I begin to diversify my workouts. I’m used to eating for endurance running.
I would love to read The Firestarter sessions. I’m currently looking for a full-time but feel stuck at the age of 25. Every year up till now has been extremely exciting. The past couple of years have felt monotonous.
Master’s degree finished, new job offer, buying a house, getting married – I’ve got a lot of big things going on in my life right now and I think Danielle’s book would be great for keeping me motivated and focused when the going gets tough. Thanks so much for this giveaway!
I haven’t read the Firestarter books but I want to! I’m thinking about yoga teacher training and this would help motivate me I’m sure! And the cookbook sounds wonderful! I LOVE to cook! Eating more Paleo has been a challenge for me, so a few great recipes would help.
Would love love love a copy of the ebook!
I collect cookbooks and this one seems awesome! I’ve just started a new relationship and I want to try adding some new dinners into my routine.
That cookbook looks amazing! I already read Multiply Delicious and love Heather’s recipes. I’ve adopted a Paleo lifestyle over the past few months and feel great- I’m always looking for new recipe ideas!
I love multiply delicious! thanks for introducing me to them! I love their recipes!!!
I’ve been wanting to read The Firestarter Sessions for ages! What a great giveaway – thanks. 🙂
Yum! I’ve recently started crossfit and want to jump on the paleo bandwagon, but it’s kind of intimidating! A cookbook would give me inspiration to get it started the right way!
Thank you for such an inspirational post. I’m at a point in my life where I am aching for change and I am finding all kinds of excuses not to change anything. Reading Firestarter Sessions is going to slap me in the face to quit making excuses. I would love to try the Paleo diet and having a cookbook to lead the way would be so helpful. Keep up this great blog. Reading your posts keeps me aware of being balanced with my running and workouts. Thanks.
I have heard so much about the Firestarter Sessions! I am at a crossroad with my career and need some push to get going in the right direction. I have been presented a situation in order to keep my job I will have to relocate and that is a lot to consider. I dont want to relocate, but I am so fortunate to have a good job – so the job hunt begins and that is where I need that extra ‘umph’… thanks for your blog –
I would LOVE that cookbook. I am currently researching what diet/food I should be eating that would be best for my body. I workout for abotu 90 minutes a day, count calories and 90% of the time it’s nutritious food, yet I still gain weight. So disheartened but won’t give up 🙂
I need the Firestarter sessions because I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes all because I’m having a bad day at work and feel stuck here. Work shouldn’t make me cry! But I don’t know what to do to change things so these sessions would certainly come at the right time.
I would LOVE to get that cookbook! I Crossfit here in Charlotte too, and am trying to incorporate more meat into my diet. This cookbook would help inspire me to cook some really great meals, with meat 🙂
I would love to have that cookbook!! I’ve really been trying to clean up my diet over the past year, so I’m always looking for healthy & delicious recipes to try.
I would love this book! My boyfriend and I love cooking paleo dishes! This cookbook would be a great addition! 🙂
I would really love the Paleodiet cookbook as I love cooking and trying new healthy recipes but I think I have a better case for the Firstarter Sessions books. I’m in my third year at McGill University in Montreal and currently in a major slump. I’m constantly exhausted even though I’m getting more sleep than ever and my mileage has been cut in half. All the things in my life that usually bring me joy are starting to fade to the background and these little minor setbacks are becoming major obstacles and I’m just so discouraged. I’m from a small town but here in this big city, I feel more alone and lost than words can say. I’m not sure what to do and maybe the Firestarter book can help pull me out of this rut. I’ve got the February blues and could use some inspiration to get me through the semester.
I love love love cooking — especially paleo recipes! this cookbook would be a great addition! I am super excited to check out her site as well 🙂
I keep hearing more and more about Paleo and the benefits. Would love to have the book for the great recipes.
I am totally at a point in my life where I could use some outside perspective. Heading off to Europe for Grad School in the fall is kind of scary but super exciting. I feel like it would be a great time to read The Firestarter Sessions!!!
I’d also looooove that cookbook! Paleo is something that intimidates me a little bit but I think seeing some visuals and recipes would be helpful to test out some delicious recipes!
I’m in a great place in my life but something’s missing in my career: passion. I would love a copy of The Firestarter Sessions for a new perspective on how to handle possible change(s)!
I would love to check out that cookbook!
I would love to check out the cookbook! I know alot of people that have had real success with eating Paleo, and am interested in trying it, but I don’t even really know where to begin…
I just recently discovered Danielle Laporte and would love to listen to The FireStarter Sessions. I am about to turn 30 and not sure what steps I want to take next.
Love your blog!
I would love to listen to the The FireStarter Session, a good kick in the ass is what I need everyday.
I would also love a copy of the cookbook, eating Paleo is a way I try to conform to, not always successful.
Love the Blog!
I’d love a copy of the Paleo cookbook! My family went dairy free a year ago and it has helped all of us feel so much better. We have started to watch our gluten intake and it has had a positive effect as well. I’d love to have some great recipes to turn to as we have considered doing a trial of paleo to see what happens to our bodies.
Jen, speaking of cooking, I’ve been meaning to tell you that I’m making the quinoa/green lentil combo on a regular basis and love it. Just started adding it to layered jar salads that I’ve been making ahead for the week, and it definitely adds texture, a nutritional boost, and helps me stay full for longer than a normal salad would. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Saw your post yesterday, but didn’t have a chance to respond… Hope your head feels better-OUCH! Being accident prone, I’m constantly nursing bumps and bruises, but a bang to the head requires a little more TLC than normal. Glad you took it easy for a little while 🙂 Oh, my two cents on the bathing suits – buy all of them and mix and match. Price is right and colors are great for you.
I want the Danielle Laporte audio book because I truly am at a crossroads in my life. I’ve been laid off from my job and love the industry I’m in, but it’s becoming smaller and smaller and I don’t know if I’ll be able to find another full-time job in my field so I am looking for a new direction to take and am uncertain what that should be.
Thanks for the chance to win!
Woah! I would love to win either book… both would help me on my journey towards absolute bliss, both mentally and physically!
I would love Heather’s book – I’m definitely at a crossroads in my life and would appreciate any sort of help finding my direction.
I would love the cookbook because the one thing I am NOT confused about is eating delicious food! 😉
Happy Belated Valentine’s Day! I would love to win this, because I am totally in a food rut, and need some serious inspiration!
always looking for new recipes!
I would love a copy of the Paleo cookbook! I recently found out that I was gluten intolerant, so I have been looking for more recipes to use that don’t involve gluten. Paleo is a perfect way to do that, too!
I would LOVE a copy of the cookbook, Jen! I am a college student studying abroad in Italy. I am cooking for myself for the first time. I can’t find any cookbooks in English here, so an e-cookbook would be MORE than perfect!
I feel like I need to change up some of my eating and this book would give me some new ideas. Thanks for the Valentine’s love!!!
I would love to win Danielle’s book – I will graduate in 2.5 months and I think listening to her book will help me as I make decisions for my future!
Would love a chance at this cookbook! I do not follow a paleo diet, but would certainly love to see what it has to offer!
I LOVE AUDIOBOOKS! Always listen to them while working out! I would love to win!
I haven’t tried many paleo recipes but would love to, so I really would like to have this cookbook!
I would love this cookbook!!! I have Celiac Disease and cannot eat gluten and i find that Paleo recipes tend to work well for me! Im always up for trying and experimenting with new recipes – thanks!!
I’d love to win Danielle Laporte’s book. I’m in a point in my life where I feel stuck and need to figure out what my next step is going to be. I think the book might be helpful in figuring that out.
I’d love to win the cookbook! My boyfriend and I have been trying to eat Paleo as much as possible, but we have been struggling to mix up new recipes. This cook book would definitely help 🙂
I would love the cookbook because I have been a vegetarian for about 5 years now and have recently developed some digestive issues. I actually emailed you a while back asking for advice as you had gone through something similar. Well I’ve gone so far as to order some meat from Beetnik food, but that’s as far as I’ve made it. It’s been sitting in my freezer since it arrived. Maybe this cookbook will inspire me to actually cook and eat it 🙂 Thank you!
I would love Danielle’s book! I am a busy working wife and mommy with a wonderful husband and two gorgeous boys. I give to others and work to do the same for myself by exercising and eating right. My biggest obstacle??? Seeing and believing the great things that others see in me and believing in my potential!
