My history with lululemon runs deep. I was asked to be an ambassador back in 2010 when I was new to teaching group exercise in Charlotte and lululemon was opening their first showroom in our city. I ended up serving as an ambassador for over three years and through the opening of lululemon’s first retail store in Charlotte. This was all around the time that I was completing my yoga teacher training, getting a personal training certification and transitioning to a full-time job in fitness so lululemon quickly became my new work wardrobe.
Well, here we are 11 years later and I’m still wearing lululemon daily for everything from running to momming to yoga practices to teaching classes and more. Absolutely nothing is comparable when it comes to comfort, fit, function and fashion.
It’s been so much fun to continue working with lululemon through partnerships on my blog and social media because it’s a brand I authentically and enthusiastically use and support. It’s also been fun to introduce my dad to lululemon!
About 5-6 years ago I gifted him a pair of Pace Breaker shorts and a Metal Vent shirt and he’s never looked back. He’s always loved his Pace Breaker shorts for comfortable daily wear (especially in his retirement at the beach!) but he’s now really putting some miles on them with all of the walking that he’s been doing since quarantine started last year.
It’s great to see my dad so fit and active and I’m super proud of him for the work and consistency that he’s put into his new routine! He’s walking 6-8 miles almost every single day and he loves wearing his lululemon gear for it. He’s been committed to this new routine for over a year now.
So, while I’m getting my regular runs in wearing lululemon, my dad is getting his long walks in. It’s been awesome to bond over this! On a related note, I think it’s important to remember that walking is an excellent form of exercise and for many, it’s a better option for their body than running.
Whether you choose running or walking, doing it in lululemon just feels different. The level of comfort when it comes to fit, construction, and technology is unmatched. I am never distracted by my lululemon run gear. It always fits and performs exactly how I need it to. I feel so free and so in the zone when I’m running in lululemon.
I am excited to share some of our current favorite men’s and women’s running (and walking) gear from lululemon.

QUESTIONS
What is your favorite lululemon gear for running?
Have you converted any men in your life to lululemon fans? Fun story, we had a random young guy stop us while we were shooting and ask, “Are you taking pictures for lululemon? Their shorts are seriously amazing.” Haha.
Do you prefer running in shorts or tights/crops?
Your Dad seems so adorable and great. So cute that you decided to do the post with him! Big Lululeman fan too. I’ve had so many pieces for almost 10 years and the quality is excellent.
Thanks Haley! He was a great sport for doing this with me! 🙂 And yes, I have so many lululemon pieces that are 5-7 years old now and they holds up so well!
you and your dad are so cute!!!
Thank you Erin!
Love this! My fiancé has become a big lulu fan. All of his work pants are the ABC pant, and all of his swimsuits are the 7” cross channel! He loves their men’s running gear too
Yes, the ABC pants are becoming such a popular work choice for so many guys! I hadn’t thought about their Men’s swimsuits…now I need to get my dad one…haha.
What precious photos of you and your dad!
Thank you Hilary!
So nice! What a gift to have your father around to show him comfortable gear. My father has been gone for over 35 years but it would be a blessing to share health and exercise (and Lululemon!). And walking is a blessing too- I am sure more so with beautiful beach views!
Thanks Melissa. I never take it for granted. <3
This post was so adorable! I love their Speed Up running shorts. I’m very petite (4’11) and they are one of a few brands that make shorts that FIT and flatter me. During pregnancy I have gotten into their align leggings too. I have a few tops that I bought secondhand and everything holds up so well. This was really cute and a good Father’s Day post! My dad doesn’t have any lulu even though he buys it for all of us…maybe time to remedy!! ?
Aw, thank you! It was really fun to do. Yes, lululemon’s clothes are flattering on petite figures. They fit so well and offer a great range of sizing. I love that the shorts/pants are sized 0,2,4,6,8,etc instead of S, M, L. I wear my aligns pretty much every single day! And they are a great pregnancy legging for sure! I bet your dad would like lululemon too! 😉
You and your dad are so cute together! What a great opportunity to spend some time with your dad and get some awesome photos together too! My mom has been a walker for years (completed a marathon in each of the 50 states) but she got my dad into doing longer walks during the pandemic. It’s been a great way for them to get some fresh air and stay active together. Congrats to your dad for keeping up with his walks!
Yes, I’m so grateful to have these photos Marie! <3 Wow, to your mom's walking. That is incredible! I love that your dad has been joining in recently too, that's great for both of them. <3
This is such a great post, so fun seeing you and your dad together! Tell him to keep up the great working staying active!
Thanks so much Kat! It was great to get to partner with my dad on this campaign! 🙂
This is so special! What great photos and your dad looks great!
