What a weekend. I’ll post a full weekend recap later today (hopefully) but long story short…the movers were at our house until midnight on Friday and our entire weekend was consumed by unpacking. As I was drifting off to sleep at 11 p.m. last night I thought to myself, “I think I left my car door open in the driveway with a dog bed on top of my car” and sure enough when I walked outside this morning my door was in fact open. My mind is in a million places right now (as are all of my belongings!).
Oh moving.
How about some positive words to kick off the week?
I read this to some of my yoga classes last week and I love it.

Friday: Hot yoga
Saturday: REST
Sunday: 7 mile run at 8:30ish pace
My Sunday run was amazing. Our new house is just 0.3 miles from a nature trail that links to miles of greenway. I got 7 miles in all on trails and greenway! The girls are going to love, love, love this so much. I can’t wait to take them out exploring. Also, it was 50 degrees, clear and sunny. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect.

See you guys later. Have a great Monday!
Do you prefer to run on streets or on trails or greeenways?
What’s your idea of perfect running weather?
Moving is so stressful! Hope you’re settled in soon. Good luck with unpacking! Also I love the quote you shared! ๐
So cool that you are so close to that running trail now! I love trails and greenways!
moving is really sucky but that trail looks amazing!! thanks for sharing the good vibes to kick off the week!
Thanks Alyssa!
Great week of training!
I will always prefer to run in trails / greenways. However, running in the streets is the easiest option I have all the time. My idea of perfect running weather is around 60 degrees. I live in South Florida so it’s easy for me to get cold.
I am a total wuss in the cold too! I love 50-70 degrees! ๐
I typically only run on the sidewalks or roads, but I would like to explore trail running more to switch things up. So glad that you are all moved in and didn’t rain or someone didn’t steal your car…Happy Monday! xoxo
I don’t think you’ll have many trails in Charleston but tons of beautiful waterfront routes!
Love the Monday mantra. Perfect timing for me to read those words.
We chose our new house for several reasons, but one of the biggest was the close proximity to walking and running trails. Most are paved, which I prefer a bit more than trails (I’m super clumsy!). Have a great week.
So glad you enjoyed it and found the words helpful! Awesome that you are also close to good trails. And I’m super clumsy too so I’ll have to really watch it when I’m running!
I love this quote, too! Although I must say that I think it’s a tall order. . . maybe just for me? LOL
We have been getting our house ready to list for sale, so I have related to your moving challenges. Such a stressful process!
Something to strive for and stay grounded in!
Gosh, I know that pre-listing time is hard! Good luck with the sale.
Moving is such an energy drain! Sorry you are in the midst of it. I love that quote. Does it have an attribution if I wanted to share it with others?
I found it on Pinterest. I’ve googled it to try to see if it has an author but I can’t find one.
My perfect running weather is just warm enough- around 50 and cloudy! Bring on spring!
