I loved reading your responses on your favorite peanut butter. Seriously…I now have a long list of peanut butters to try! Here are a few of my observations from your responses:
- I am not alone in my nut butter addiction. I was surprised to see several of you don’t even buy certain nut butters for fear you will plow through a jar in a matter of days. I’m happy to hear that I’m not the only one who has to have some type of nut butter every day! (My favorite was the commenter who said it was part of the food pyramid. Amen!)
- I MUST try to make my own nut butter at home.
- Flavored peanut butters are very popular – White Chocolate Wonderful, Cinnamon Raisin Swirl, Chocolate Peanut Butter…so many delicious sounding combinations!
- Peanut butter is not a complete source of protein because it doesn’t contain all 10 essential amino acids but if you have a small glass of milk alongside you’re in business!
Here are the top vote getters.
Clockwise from top left: Barney Butter, Peanut Butter & Co. White Chocolate Wonderful, Trader Joe’s and Maranatha.
Let’s keep the peanut butter love going. What is your favorite way to eat peanut butter? I think my all time favorite is peanut butter, honey and banana sandwiches. Mmm…
Moving along! Today was crazy busy but awesome. It started with a 5 a.m. wake up call to teach BodyPump. I somehow got scheduled to teach three 6 a.m.’s this week. Good thing I love early morning workouts, huh?
I had overnight oats at my desk when I got into work. Quick tip…I like to put the mix in freezer while I’m getting ready for work so that they are extra cold (but not frozen) when I eat them.
My work day flew by and before I knew it, it was time to head over to Vivace for a baby shower for a co-worker.
We enjoyed some delicious appetizers and drinks and wrote notes on newborn diapers to encourage the new parents during those middle of the night changings when the baby comes!
Fig, prosciutto, gorgonzola and arugula pizza.
Artichoke and goat cheese bruschetta.
It was a beautiful evening to sit on Vivace’s awesome patio with a view of the Charlotte skyline.
We had a contest to guess the number of M&Ms in a jar and guess who won!?
There were 1,210 M&Ms in this jar!!! I came closest with a guess of 1,100. I planned on taking these to work with me but Brandon is insisting that they stay at home. This is going to be trouble…we already plowed through way too many tonight!
How cute is this cake!? My co-worker is having a boy and they are doing a beach themed nursery.
Mommy-to-be in the middle! I am so lucky to work with such fun and amazing people!
I am also so lucky to have a sweet husband who makes dinner while I’m out baby showering!
He stopped by Earth Fare this evening and picked up some of their housemade chicken sausages to grill. We had spicy Italian, some sort of Mexican blend and spinach and feta. Sauteed spinach, orzo and French bread on the side.
Off to bed – teaching 6 a.m. yoga tomorrow!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
I tried Bodypump today in hopes to get arms like yours! I’m gonna have to say White Chocolate Wonderful is my favorite too!!
So awesome Brittaney! I LOOOOVVVEEE BodyPump! What did you think?
I love peanut butter on a banana or mixing it in with my oatmeal.
I love that pizza!! I have to recreate that sometime at home. 🙂
what a cute shower. I love that theme! and turned out to be a beautiful day. 🙂
Super cute cake!! Happy Friday!
I don’t know if there is a way to eat peanut butter that I don’t like – sweet or savory, I love them all. But especially: with banana and chocolate, and all three with oatmeal. Delicious!
Have a great weekend!
I’ve recently switched to almond butter since I got a huge jar at Costco (Marantha!) for around $6! I’m fully obsessed and will find any excuse I can to eat some. But, I think almond butter in my oatmeal is my fav. Don’t get me wrong, PB still has a special place in my heart…especially any of the PB & Company flavors. Delish! Have a good weekend! I’ll be in Charlotte visiting my in-laws and hoping for nice weather!
Jessica – so fun that you’ll be in Charlotte. Boo that it won’t be as warm as it was earlier this week. Enjoy your visit! Let me know if you ever want to meet up when you’re in town!
That would be so fun! I’d also love to come take one of your yoga classes! Have a great weekend 🙂
I love Maranatha creamy in my chocolate/banana protein smoothies!! Also love White Chocolate Wonderful or Dark Chocolate Dreams in oatmeal…or mixed with Greek yogurt. Must have 1-2 servings every day!! 🙂
We love Smucker’s Natural PB. Takes a while to stir it up but it has a great texture and flavor. My fave way to eat it is putting a heaping tablespoon on a plate with a sliced gala apple and dipping!
Haha I am reading this whilst eating a PB and apple sandwich! 😀 My new fave sandwich filling- SO good!! I have to try your combo too!
And I LOVE your giant jar of M&M’s!! They wouldn’t last 10 minutes around me! 😉
I haven’t tried PB and apple sandwich. Sounds yum. I bet it would be good as a quesadilla too!
We are killing the M&Ms…tonight they are going to become cookies! 🙂
I can’t choose one favorite way to eat peanut butter. I love PB&J sandwiches, PB & banana sandwiches, PB dolloped on my oats or a big table spoon of PB to eat like a popsicle.
PB on graham crackers is great. chocolate dipped in PB is sinful…I could go on. Peanut butter (almond butter too) is my #1 favorite food.
Um, I love everything on this list…
peanut butter, banana, honey. *drool*
Yay for White Chocolate Wonderful! My favorite way to eat it is right out of the jar!
I just won a bunch (6 cars) of PB&co pb that I am so excited to try—I’ve never really had flavored pb.
Also, can I just say you are too beautiful? Seriously! That pic of you is gorgeous 🙂 (so is the pic of the baby shower eats haha yum!)
Happy Friday!
Awesome Natalie! I’ve only ever tried their Dark Chocolate Dreams and it is really good. It tastes like a Reese’s PB cup!
Your comment totally made my day. You are too sweet! 🙂
I am so bad at those “guessing how many X are in the jar!” Way to go!!
That pizza looks awesome!
Looks like a ton of fun!!
Just a little hint – amazingclubs.com has a peanut butter of the month club and it ROCKS. You get 2 new jars of peanut butter in the mail every month. They are smaller companies usually (with the exception of The Peanut Butter Co.), so they usually aren’t very processed. In fact, this month it was crunchy natural (just peanuts and salt), and cinnamon raisin (organic). Amazing!!!! I get SO excited when I see the little white box on my doorstep each month!! Well worth the $$!!
