Happy Friday!
There’s a “My 7 Links” challenge going around the blog world right now. The idea is that you link back to seven old posts that deserve to be remembered and then tag five other bloggers to take on the challenge. I got tagged by Jen at This Runner’s Trials.
One of the coolest things about blogging (especially for me because I kind of document my life on my blog) is being able to look back at old posts. Here is a snapshot of some highlight posts in a variety of categories.
Your Most Beautiful Post
What makes you feel alive? I wrote this post after a particularly emotional weekend of yoga teacher training where we discussed the things that make us feel most alive. Moments where you feel everything…ranging from times of happiness and love where you feel on top of the world to extreme sadness or anger. When do you feel the most alive?
Your Most Popular Post
Overnight Oats. My tutorial on overnight oats is by far the most read post on my blog!
Your Most Controversial Post
I don’t really stir up a lot of debate on my blog. Really, I thought back to old posts and I think I’ve received maybe one negative/not on board with what you’re thinking type of comment. So I guess I will go with my “Let’s Get Real” post where I discussed that I don’t always feel like I can post the bad/down times on my blog. I heard you guys loud and clear in the comments…I have permission to admit when things are less than perfect and I’m having a bad day.
Now…I need to think up a good controversial blog topic! 😉
Your Most Helpful Post
Foam Rolling 101. My post on the benefits of foam rolling with a video tutorial of how to foam roll your upper and lower body was a big hit. I am still referring people to it several times a week!
A Post Whose Success Surprised You
Face Matters. I was less than thrilled to talk about my struggles with hormonal acne but I was BLOWN AWAY by all of the responses that I received. I couldn’t believe how many women are struggling with similar issues and how much helpful advice was given!
A Post You Feel Didn’t Get the Attention It Deserved
Stomaching the Run. I wrote a post last fall about dealing with stomach issues and running. I get asked about this topic a lot so I was surprised this post didn’t get more traction.
The Post You Are Most Proud Of
Well, there are two. I really can’t pick just one. These are the two proudest moments of my life over the past year.
1. Marine Corps Marathon Recap – training for and running the Marine Corps Marathon was an amazing experience. I seriously STILL get chills when I read the race recap.
2. Yoga Teacher Training: My Final Thoughts – yoga teacher training changed my life. Seriously. My attitude. Goal setting. My outlook on life. Compassion. Living with passion. I can’t even imagine sitting here typing this today and having not gone through this experience. Best decision I have EVER made.
Now, I get to tag five other bloggers to participate!
Alaina – The Jogging Concierge
Brittany – A Healthy Slice of Life
Jen – A Knack for Nutrition
Tater, I mean Katie – Sweet Tater Blog
Q – Q’s Eats
For those of you who have been reading my blog for a while…did I miss any particularly memorable posts? I’m always interested to hear what really resonates with you! (And it helps me to plan for future content!)
You have had so many posts that have helped and inspired me, but specifically I just used your foam rolling post this past week! It was very helpful and I’m definitely looking forward to utilizing a foam roller more. I couldn’t honestly claim that it felt awesome while I was doing it 😉 but it sure did feel good after I was done! Kinda like when I started running, I guess. ha.
I thought your foam roller post was particularly helpful. It made me start foam rolling in smaller sections rather than targeting the whole muscle at once.
Thanks for the link! 🙂
Oooh YAY! I am ON IT!
Your step by step of overnight oats has me wanting to give them another try. Maybe I will next week if this heat keeps up!
Thanks for tagging me 🙂
Your Sullie posts! I’m obsessed w/ my fur baby too! I see you guys run by my house sometimes and she’s so cute : )
Hey Jen,
I really enjoyed this post. I’ve been following your blog since April and it was fun to get the recap of things I’ve missed!
Have a great weekend!
Diane
Love your pictures-especially the one of you in the water! You look so happy! I’ll have to go back and read those posts…
Love your stomaching the run post! It really helped me on my long run this morning.
Thanks for the shout out Jen! I haven’t been blogging for too long but I’ll do my best to find some interesting posts! 🙂
