I can sum up my day in with three photos.

I made a peanut butter, banana and honey sandwich for breakfast when I got to work this morning. It was necessary after a late night and very early morning.

I looked like a Girl Scout today. I packed these clothes in a half-asleep stupor at 5 a.m. When I put the outfit on after teaching yoga, I immediately thought, “oh god, I am dressed like a freaking Girl Scout.” On my honor, I will try…
{Random side note…I was a Girl Scout for over 10 years and a counselor at the Girl Scout camp I attended. I even had a brownie troop my senior year of college. Nothing but love for the Girl Scouts.}

Dinner tonight consisted of a salad, a glass of red wine and frozen yogurt. I joined some yoga friends for a glass of wine after I taught this evening and almost fell asleep on the table. I stopped at TCBY on my way home. There was no stopping my ice cream craving.
Other tidbits…
- Workout was a hot yoga practice. It was just what I needed to set my mind right for the day.
- I taught a 6:30 a.m. and a 7:15 p.m. hot vinyasa and had a busy day at work. I am ready for bed.
- Soft cookies are the crowd favorite by a landslide. Crunchy cookies are only acceptable when dipped in milk. And cookie dough is definitely the best part of baking cookies. I like your style.
- This is a really crazy, really big week. News on Friday.
I leave you with a quote via my friend Ashley’s blog.

Enjoy the week. Take it one day at a time.
On my honor I will try to serve God and my country, to help people at all times, and to live by the girl scout law!
Oh yea girl scout pride!
love it!
The suspense is killing me Jen!
I’m not surprised you had a Brownie Troop while in college — you do a great job at motivating and cultivating community!
Side note: my sophomore year of college my roommates nicknamed me Girl Scout… “Be Prepared” (always had everything under control!)
Thank you, Jenny! I really enjoyed volunteering with the Girl Scouts.
Love your nickname story from college. That’s great!
Love the quote at the end of your post. I find I can reduce a lot of unnecessary stress just by taking life one day at a time.
i love it too…it’s a great reminder to just face what is in front of you at the moment and in your control!

That is hilarious about your outfit! Although, I do love that green skirt! Super cute! And I love the fact that you were a girl scout for so long and even had your own troop. It makes me think of one of my favorite movies as a kid – Troop Beverly Hills.
I LOVE that quote. I had never heard of it before until I ran across it on Monday. It’s printed and hanging in my office now!
I’m so excited to hear your news! I last ONE YEAR in brownies :(. Props to you!
