Thanks for weighing in on the big cupcake decision…the overwhelming majority of you were on the same page so piglets and froggies it is! Brandon and I are so excited to get started on them tomorrow night. Brandon has deemed himself the “creative director” of the cupcake project and I am the lowly “account manager” who gets the dirty work done. ๐ (Yes, my husband is infinitely more creative than I am and helped so much with the butterfly cupcakes!)
I started the morning with an ashtanga practice and then enjoyed overnight oats at my desk when I got to work. I can’t believe that tomorrow is Friday. This week has really flown by.
I went home for lunch to make a sandwich and grab my BodyPump gear for a class after work.
My sandwich was so good. Great Harvest Whole Grain Goodness with light mayo, spicy mustard, mashed avocado, spinach, pepper jack and sprouts. I heated everything but the sprouts under the broiler. I swear, melty cheese makes a sandwich so much better. Pear slices and carrots on the side.
This lunch kept me satisfied all afternoon and through teaching BodyPump this evening. My appetite has most definitely subsided since the marathon and the cold that I can’t kick is not helping. Today I’ve felt like my cold symptoms are moving into my chest. Not good. I’ve canceled workout plans for tomorrow in favor of more rest. I really want this gone.
My BodyPump class was small this evening but my members were ready to work and seriously inspired me! The Y where I teach Pump is in a bank building so anytime there is a bank holiday (today was Veteran’s Day), our numbers are down.
I really wanted to cook a nicer dinner tonight but really had no appetite for anything. When Brandon suggested homemade pizza, I couldn’t say no.
We split a dough round to make our own individual pizzas. Mine ended up being huge and I only ate a few slices of it. I topped it with marinara, spicy chicken Italian sausage, portobellos, spinach, artichoke hearts, parmesan and mozzarella.
The next thing I knew Brandon was scooping me a bowl of ice cream. (I know, I know – pizza and ice cream for dinner = not good. I PROMISE to get back on normal meal planning next week. I am sick of meals on the fly.)
We topped our ice cream with “peanut butter sauce” made from Trader Joe’s peanut flour mixed with water, milk and a pinch of salt, chocolate sauce and diced bananas.
Off to medicate and sleep.
HAPPY FRIDAY! What do you guys have planned for the weekend!? I’m teaching classes and birthday party-ing! ๐
Your sandwich looks so good…and melted cheese makes everything taste better!!!

Sometimes pizza and ice cream are necessary. I love the idea for peanut sauce topping. My boyfriend would love that! Hope you’re feeling better soon.
