Happy weekend! Popping in with recent eats and workouts. I’ll see you guys on the other side of the weekend.
Recent Eats
Lots of smoothies for breakfast. This one with a piece of zucchini chocolate chip bread.
With granola.
And again. I didn’t have any spinach this week so my smoothies were super bright and colorful. Here’s the blend I was working with…
1/2 frozen banana
5 frozen strawberries
6-8 frozen cherries
1/4 cup frozen raspberries
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
2 tablespoons collagen powder
Big spoonful of almond butter
1 pump of SHF Omega 3 Oil
About 3/4 cup coconut/aloe vera water
Loved this mixing bowl salad for lunch. Arugula, mint, basil, quinoa, artichoke hearts, avocado, pistachios, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives and Tessemae’s Zesty Ranch.
All mixed together…try it!
Another delicious mix of massaged Tuscan kale, brown rice, kalamata olives, pistachios, tomatoes, cucumbers, artichoke hearts with Tessemae’s Zesty Ranch. Topped with avocado, of course.
A “use up all the farmers market veggies” sauté of eggplant, zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, onions and black beans over quinoa with guac and salsa.
Again over cauliflower rice.
And finally, loving these fried egg and kimchi bowls. This time I did “fried quinoa” instead of fried rice and it was super tasty. This is such a simple and delicious dinner.

What did you eat last week?
How did you sweat last week?
I feel like the only person who hasn’t tried cauliflower rice yet! Looks like a delicious, and active!, week 🙂
It’s so good! If you mix it with other ingredients, you really can’t tell a difference!
What do you recommend as a substitute in smoothies when you hate bananas?
I always love the pictures and recipes just not the banana 🙂
I need to try collagen… Have you heard if it helps with gut issues? A girl at my gym said it helped her stomach isues? Always on a constant quest to keep mine happy. 🙂
Also, your salads look amazing. I’m in such a meal rut – I love the idea of fresh herbs.
Miss ya! xo
Hey! I just heard that for the first time over the weekend so funny you bring it up. I’ve seriously noticed great results since I started using it so I would recommend just giving it a try! Can’t hurt and it’s so easy to mix into shakes and coffee.
Ok, this post has my mouth watering! Those salads look amazing.
Thank you! I love getting creative with them!
Did you taste the fish oil? I just started using the same one and I am having such a hard time with the taste.
Not at all!
Hi Jen,
I’m new to your website. Found it whilst searching for supersets for strength training routine.
I’ve been reading your recent eats posts, and if you don’t mind me asking, are your portion for each meal really like the ones you share here? Coz I’m trying to lose my love handles and a bit of my lower abs to no avail, and I believe my workouts are spot on (I do 3x weight lifting and 2x tabata style HIIT per week all these years).
Looking at your pictures of meals, could that be the reason I’ve been holding on to these pudgy sides of me?
I’m only 5’2 and weigh 115lbs give or take (I don’t weigh myself regularly, at most twice a year) but my volume of foods on my plate are way bigger. I can’t seem to be satisfied when I take in smaller portions. Even with healthy fats on my plate (love avocadoes and olives. And salmon as well as whole eggs).
