My eats over the last few days will definitely be different (and so much more beautiful!) than what you are used to seeing. One of the best things about Zoetry resorts (I’ve now stayed at the one in Punta Cana twice, Puerto Moreles once and there is one more in Cabo that I haven’t visited) is that they are not only all-inclusive but feature really amazing and mostly healthy food. Tons of vegetarian and gluten free options and they list the calorie counts for most menu items. They also offer a daily “wellness menu” that you can follow to fit within a certain range of calories and fat for the day (which I am NOT following! :)).
They make all their own pastries, offer special iced teas every day with various health benefits, do all of their own juicing and source organic, sustainable, local food whenever possible. There are plenty of top shelf liquor options, Mexican beers and pretty decent wines. So nice to have this amazing food included.
I’ll share what I’ve been eating with you!
Breakfast
I have ordered room service most mornings while I work before our AM practice. Fresh fruit, yogurt with honey and granola, coffee and fresh juices.
Lunch
Beautiful salads.
And yesterday I ordered a Mexican “casserole” which was basically a big pot of melted cheese baked with sauteed veggies in a cast iron pot. Served with tortillas so it was kind of like making your own quesadilla. There is also a sushi and ceviche bar that I’ve been frequenting.
Appetizers
Figs stuffed with goat cheese and topped with mint and served with goat cheese ice cream. YUM.
Seafood stuffed avocado. SUPER YUM.
Dinner
Grouper.
Red snapper with grilled pineapples and cilantro rice.
Dessert
Chocolate mousse cake.
Churros. When in Mexico… 😉
Drinks
Virgin pina colada and lots of skinny margaritas!
What’s your fruity beach drink of choice? I have to go with the skinny margarita or rum punch. While I love pina coladas and daiquiris, one is about all I can handle per trip!
Wow, drooling over these plates! I love places when I have fresh local options!
You had me at goat cheese!
My favorite fruity beach drink it a pina colada. And really anything with rum makes me a happy girl!
Oooh that seafood stuffed avocado looks delicious! And of course the churros.
The food looks fabulous! I agree on the Pina Coladas. The only time I drink them is if I am somewhere tropical, but I can do a skinny margarita anytime…With salt of course. 😉 Glad you are having a fabulous time. XOXO
YUM! Fav tropical drink? Probably a pina colada, but I can only have 1 of those too!! So filling 🙂
What beautiful pictures! I always opt for strawberry daiquiris when I do drink at the beach (which is NOT often, holy sugar!) I don’t know a lot of the fancy drinks so I am pretty boring with my choice!
Sangria for me! All day errrrryday
love skinny margaritas.
gorgeous food pictures!
Margaritas are my favorite! No doubt! I usually will try to order skinny margaritas.
Wow. I’m surprised how good the food looks for an all inclusive resort. I love bloody Mary’s by the pool but for something more beachy, flavored mojitos for sure.
Figs with mint and goat cheese ice cream?? Oh man. I wish I could teleport myself to that resort right now.
Glad to hear that you’re having a wonderful time and eating nutritious, beautiful, and most importantly, yummy foods!
What an amazing spread of food. Looks so fresh and s much variety. I love me a nice glass of wine : )
My fave beach drink is vodka and sugar free pink lemonade. It’s light and easy, but not too sweet. Like you, while I LOVE pina coladas, I can only handle about one. Last year when we were in Mexico they had a fresh juice/smoothie bar at one end of the beach and a bar at the other. We’d get a smoothie, drink some and then go to the bar to add vodka or rum. It worked out quite nice!
Oh my goodness! Everything looks absolutely delicious!
