Hey Jen – I asked you about the electrolytes today after yoga. Do you have any other suggestions to help prevent me from getting migraines everytime after class?
hey christy! thanks for staying after class to talk. in addition to the electrolytes, just make sure that you’re well hydrated overall.
also, i know this sounds crazy because you’re practicing yoga but try to notice if you’re holding tension in your neck and shoulders while you practice. especially in things like chair pose, warriors and chaturangas. if you’re super tight and tense there, it may be causing tension headaches.

Sullie is the best! I love when she dropped her toy on you 🙂 So cute! I pretty much cannot workout at home because one of my two dogs is always laying on my mat or trying to play!

I agree with the above, Im inspired to challenge myself in Yoga! I actually love fitness challenges via Instagram. I did #happyfitmarch and I loved incorporating healthy physical and mindful activities throughout my day, and of course finding a creative way to share them!
Just joined Instagram a few days ago! Of course I’m following you 🙂 I’d like to see a strength training challenge. Certain exercises everyday, with set goals for reps of lbs, something like that. Or a clean eating challenge where you post your own meals, even a yoga pose of the day challenge. I’m not quite up to the challenge you’re doing now (it’s a little advanced for me) but posting a picture of a different pose every day would me fun! You should start your own challenge! Your Instagram account is great by the way 🙂

I’ve never done an Instagram challenge but would be interested in a fitness based one to keep me accountable maybe. I love your two clips with Sullie, my golden does the exact same thing! The minute I attempt exercise or stretching on the floor he is right on top of me and I can’t stop laughing-they’re the greatest!
I love that Sadie just wants to play with you when you’re down on the ground!
Also, I wanted to say a big thank you for your smoothie tutorial last week! I’ve always just thrown a mish-mash of ingredients into the blender (which usually comes out okay, sometimes a little on the brown-ish side), but now I have a great basis for a green smoothie thanks to your video! The addition of dates is terrific. The only thing…My Vitamix doesn’t love fully frozen figs so I have to let them soften just a bit! 🙂
