Sung to the tune of Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” – haha…
Here is a glimpse of what has been happening in my life since I have been kind of MIA the past few days.
#1 Birthday Celebrations
We went to my friend Sarah’s house on Sunday night to celebrate her birthday. Sarah was the first good friend I made in Charlotte and the reason why I ended up going through yoga teacher training. Love her.
And then Monday night we had another birthday party. This one for my beautiful sister in law and featuring an amazing lemon cake with strawberry filling. Pretty much my idea of heaven in a cake.
#2 A Fun Concert
We went to see My Morning Jacket on Sunday night. It was a great show but I have to say it was rough to get home at midnight on Sunday night and then get up at 5 a.m. to teach Monday. It was worth it though!
#3 Work, Work, Work
But it hasn’t all be so bad. One project included amazing views from the 46th floor of a new building Uptown.
#4 Same Old, Same Old
Eating overnight oats.
Living off of peanut butter.
And home cooked dinners. Tonight Brandon grilled chicken sausages from Earth Fare and sweet potatoes and I made a salad.
Finally, thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your sweet and congratulatory comments on my announcement! You are the BEST!
:Happy-Grin:
Hope you guys are having a wonderful week!
What a beautiful work view!
That pb and banana sandwich looks amazing; I love gooey runny peanut butter!
me too!
Oh this makes me want cake… at 8:30am… not a good thought to start the day with 😉
I need someone to have a birthday so I can eat cake soon! 🙂 Congrats again on the achievement – I think it’s hyyylarious that every time we have a “surprise announcement” on our blogs we have to put (not pregnant) HA! 🙂
i know! and even when i outright say that i’m not, people STILL ask if that’s the announcement! i’m like…did you not see the wine i was drinking on friday night! 😉
What building is that??
the new duke energy center. it is AMAZING on the inside!
Jen, I love your necklace in the first photo (red dress). Where did you get that?
my sister in law made it! she makes the cutest jewelry! i’m sure she could make you one if you wanted.
Really? Does she have a blog/ site with her jewelry? I would be interested!
she doesn’t yet…she just has parties from time to time. i’ve been trying to get her set up on etsy. i could take a close up picture of the necklace and see if you like it and ask her how much it would be to make one for you.
Yes, that would be great if you could! I often look for a long necklace like that, but haven’t found one I love, so thank you!

Sounds like you’ve had plenty of good excuses for going MIA. Sarah is so nice! I really enjoyed talking to her at Katie’s party. You two make a cute pair!
Wow. Your peanut butter/banana sandwich has me drooling!!! Looks perfect!!!
Congratulations on your PT Certification! That is awesome! You are inspiring!
That PB sandwich picture should win an award for ‘most gorgeous and appetizing food blogger picture of the century,’ or words to that effect 😉
And I know I’m really late on catching up with blogs, but massive congratulations on your personal training qualification. I know I’d love to have you as my PT as you’re the epitome of a healthy role model with the best figure in the blog world. I don’t know what could be more motivating than that!
