I’m a little late on getting the second half of our St. Pete weekend recap to you. I hit the ground running this week after four days away. We have some big and exciting stuff in the works that I can’t wait to share!
This wedding was too beautiful not to write about so let’s dive back into the recap starting with Saturday morning.
We headed into the Five Points neighborhood of St. Pete for a hot yoga class at The Body Electric Yoga Company on Saturday morning. We fell in love with the studio upon walking through the doors. It has an amazing vibe.
Our 75 minute practice with Tiffany was great. We all agreed that we got a crazy awesome sweat in with the radiant heat panels + the class just felt wonderful. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone who lives in or visits the St. Pete area!
We stopped by Publix on our way back to Treasure Island to grab lunch to take out to the beach. How can you say no to a Publix sub? We soaked up a few hours of sun before it was time to get ready for the wedding.
We Ubered over to St. Pete Beach for the festivities around 5 p.m. The ceremony was on the beach.
Our friend Angie was a gorgeous bride and blessed with a lovely wedding day. 70 degrees, sunny and low humidity.
The ceremony was so sweet and special and we were all dabbing our eyes and sniffling throughout.
Up next. 😉
The dress I ordered from Lulus came in the day before we left but luckily it worked out perfectly. I’m a shorty so I was worried I’d need to have it hemmed but with heels the length was perfect. FYI…it was only $64 and super, super high quality. It’s available in quite a few colors.
Here’s the back of it.
The reception was held in the Presidential Ballroom of the Grand Plaza Hotel. The ballroom is on the top floor of the hotel and features floor to ceiling windows. The panoramic views of the gulf and the beach were stunning.
Table decor.
Close up of the centerpieces + I smiled to see this name on my place card.
When you’re the fiance of a blogger who makes you a stand in to test the light for photos.
Our group.
My dearest friend in the world.
I love that we’re starting to be able to enjoy weekends away without so much stress about the business back home. It’s a refreshing change of pace.
THE CAKE! It had layers of carrot cake and layers of raspberry almond. Dream come true. I had two pieces, one of each.
Sunset views.
Yoga girls.
The beautiful bride. I can honestly say that Angie is this beautiful inside and out. She’s one of the most authentically fun-loving, kind and sincere people that I know.
Dinner. The lighting was funky once the sun went down but I had roast beef with horseradish sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes and a chicken artichoke dish and a side salad with ranch.
The evening ended with quite a lot of dancing and laughing.
I wanted to get a walk in and enjoy the last bit of our trip on Sunday morning so Tanner and I took a walk to get coffee and breakfast for everyone. We hit up Coffee Grounds which was the cutest little coffee shop on the island.
There was a dude outside of the coffee shop in a tent making pancakes and sausage so we brought some back for everyone.
It was a delicious Sunday brunch. We cooked some eggs and had fruit on the side.
After brunch we packed up and headed to the airport for our trip back to Charlotte. It was such a great weekend!
Have you ever been to a beach or destination wedding?
Do you try yoga or fitness classes at different places when you travel?
Do you dance at weddings?
That dress looks amazing on you! So pretty.
There’s just something about grabbing a publix sub and eating it on the beach…they are my beach lunch staple!
That is one of the prettiest weddings I’ve ever seen! Love all the pale pink.
And that dresss???!! So beautiful! I’m looking at it now to buy too- thanks for the link.
Obssessed with that dress!! Totally looking into buying it for a wedding I have this summer. You look absolutely gorgeous!
Looks like such a great weekend! I live in Tampa and just started visiting Body Electric to take classes with friends who live on that side of the bridge – and it is truly an awesome studio! So glad you enjoyed it!

what a beautiful wedding! such a great setting for a wedding (I love the views!) – I work in wedding so I really notice these things lol. so glad you had a nice weekend, you look beautiful in that dress!
Love that dress, especially for the price! The color is so pretty. I actually had a destination wedding myself (in Aruba) this past July and am SO glad I went that route. It was beautiful! Florida looks like a great place for a wedding as well.
Gah, that dress is amazing!! I am so into the high neck style right now. I want it for a wedding this summer 🙂
Gorgeous – you, the bride, and the venue! I’ve never been to a destination wedding but I’m not opposed to it 😉 My husband loves to dance (especially at weddings) so I always make it out to the dance floor — even if my moves aren’t quite to the level o his!
I’ll be excited to hear more about your plans – xo!
You are so beautiful! Looks like a lovely, happy, sunny weekend away with a lot of people you love.
I smiled, too, seeing your new/old name on the place setting. I know and love that feeling very well. <3
Also, yes – I always try to find new yoga places when I travel! And I always dance at weddings! The best!
Loved your dress!! And yeah, I love dancing in weddings:)
Yes to a destination wedding – went to one in Riviera Maya seven years ago and it was awesome and have been to a couple in Florida. They’re always a great time! And beck yeah to dancing at weddings!! Love, love, love it.
That dress looked amazing! Beautiful color and fit. Wish I had a reason to get one like it, lol. 🙂
What a lovely wedding! And so glad that the dress worked out, it looks great on you. You are leaving us in suspense about your own wedding – can’t wait to hear about it!
That dress looks great on you! I was considering ordering it for an upcoming wedding I’m attending, but I am short too! We’ll see.
