Thank you all so much for your encouraging and helpful comments on my last post. I’ll be live streaming classes for Charlotte Yoga and VIBE5 Fitness + Yoga this coming week. You can take my live stream classes from wherever you may be! You don’t have to be a client of either studio and there are drop in passes available.
Alternatively, I’m working on recording classes on my own that you can access on demand. Most of you said this was your preferred way of taking online classes because it fits more easily into your schedule. Those will start to be released this week. 🙂
Working and working out have been a bit of a challenge since we’ve all been homebound together. This photo is an adequate representation of life over here. Everyone on top of each other. Antics and craziness abound. Lots of smiles and laughter. A few meltdowns. Days feel like a blur. 😉
STEP STOOL BODYWEIGHT WORKOUT
I couldn’t get a full-length workout class recorded this weekend while managing my crew but I did post an awesome bodyweight workout on Instagram! It uses a step stool to up the intensity for those of you who don’t have access to equipment.
Here is a video that demos each of the seven movements.
This step stool bodyweight workout is challenging and effective! Adding the step stool definitely boosts the difficulty and sweat factor. I will definitely be including it into many of my home and bodyweight workouts over the next few weeks.
30-MINUTE TREADMILL WORKOUT: HILL + SPRINT ENDURANCE
And for those of you who have access to a treadmill, I also want to share this 30-minute hill and sprint endurance workout. I also posted this on Instagram a couple of weeks ago but wanted to share here for my non-Instagramers and to offer a Pinnable graphic.
This is more of an endurance treadmill workout because you are going to be holding your hill and speed paces for two minutes at a time before you get recovery. Please feel free to adjust incline and speed to meet your needs.
TAKE GOOD CARE
I know life is upside down right now but keeping ourselves in some sort of a routine can really help us feel grounded in our bodies and minds. Keep moving, keep eating well and get as much fresh air and vitamin D as you can while staying safe.
I would love to hear how you’re doing in the comments below.
