How am I recovering from an amazing wedding with amazing friends?
1. 9 hours of sleep.
2. Starbucks + bagels and cream cheese.
3. Breaking up the six hour road trip with a stop in Athens to pick up the pup and squeezing in another glorious run. Four miles done on a beautiful day. (And for my UGA readers…in a moment of delusion, I decided it was a good idea to run up the Baxter hill…which nearly brought me to tears.)
4. Vegetables. Earth Fare salad bar. Yes.
5. Looking back at the incredible photos from a perfect night. The full wedding recap is coming later tonight.
It’s back to the road we go to knock out the final leg of our trip. It’s my turn to drive since Brandon has done all the driving up until now.
How do you split up driving responsibilities of road trips? Do you like to drive? I actually don’t mind driving on road trips and enjoy solo drives because I can listen to audio books!
I told my future husband, that if he drives on all road trips I will feed him snacks ๐
I make the Hubz drive ๐
I went to Athens one time for a college conference. The campus there is beautiful! Literally took my breath away. I even took photos of the buildings – like a total nerd.
athens is an amazing town! as i was running today i thought to myself, “i can’t believe i went to school here!”
Oh man that reception site looks GORGEOUS!! Can’t wait to read the recap! I love weddings. ๐
I love driving and I usually offer to drive. Even if it is the whole way! Either that or switch off half way. Sounds like a great recovery!
That Baxter hill almost brought me to tears many days. You were definitely delusional. ๐ But I admire you for doing it.
God bless ‘ya for conquering Baxter hill. GATA girl!
You’re making me want to go back to Athens. ๐ We still have our house there and tons of good friends so we’ll be back at some point even if for a brief visit. Way to go with the Baxter hill!!
p.s. I don’t mind road trips but I prefer to switch drivers every few hours to break up the driving. We’ve made so many military moves back and forth across the country and we’re usually in two cars. Which means no breaks in driving for either of. ๐
Is that a panera bagel? Mmm…
yes! the october pink ribbon bagel. yum!
The wedding sneak peek looks stunning I can’t wait to read your recap! ๐
