I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!
Sullie’s certainly is! She has been camped out in my office playing with her toys…one of her favorite things to do is play with multiple toys at one time. Today it’s laying on her duck while she chews her bone. I cannot tell you how often this pup makes me smile. She is truly a source of joy in my life! ๐
I was lazy this morning and skipped 6:30 a.m. yoga in favor of sleeping in. Fuel when I got into the office was black coffee and a very green smoothie.
Continuing to work in reverse…dinner last night was leftovers in the form of a giant bowl. I layered brown rice, black beans, corn, chicken, shrimp, gauacamole, salsa, sour cream, cheese and lettuce in a bowl and dug in. I had been craving a Chipotle burrito bowl for a while now and I took care of that craving!
I do weekend workout posts often on Facebook on Sundays and yesterday I was blown away by all the long runs (this is just a small sample of them!). So much so that it inspired me to go back and read some of my previous half and full marathon recaps and put the idea in my head that I kind of miss training and long run weekends. I don’t think I’ll venture back into the world of marathon training but maybe a half? Something to think about!
I didn’t long run but I did run three miles on Sunday and then go to yoga. I taught drop backs in my morning class and so did the instructor for the afternoon class. I love backbends so much!
While we’re talking yoga I have to share this song that I am absolutely loving for the beginning or end of class. I cannot get enough of it and I’ve had several students and fellow teachers ask about it too so I wanted to post it here.
When I was looking up the video on YouTube I saw that this song was used for a contemporary dance on this season of SYTYCD and it’s so beautiful so I thought I would share that too.
I think I’m done sharing now. Have a good afternoon!
Love that song!!
Wow, listened to the song for the first time while watching the SYTYCD video…beautiful!
Sullie certainly is a cutie! One of my pups likes to walk around with 2 toys too-and he is hilarious to watch when I throw them both and he is torn between which one to get first – dogs bring such joy!
I’m so scared to do that move…maybe one day! My workouts are craving a change up. After a hot yoga class on Saturday and a long bike ride this weekend, I am back to craving endurance training and yoga. So weird how our bodies change like this, but I’m going to go with it, especially since it is “slowly” getting cooler here. ๐
Big Chicago marathon is looming over my had . My training has been all over the place with injuries . We are so close and my drive is gone ,my excitement is gone . I just hurt all all ove .
Also, major mind games ! I am committed , but at what cost . I want this so bad, my body is in such pain everyday . Any ideas ?
Help !
Too close to stop now.
Liz
I’m just so impressed with your beckbend. Maybe, one day…
ps. My puppy also loves combining his toys, it’s like a whole new toy! ๐
Hi Jen,
I love your blog!! You are truly inspirational and have a beautiful soul! Thank you for sharing this song, I have been listening to it everyday since.
I’m recently doing a 60 day yoga challenge for myself, I’m on day 17 and feel great! I’ve done 30 day challenge before, so this time I thought I would just add another 30 days lol
