Hey, hey! My day started off super busy with a training client at 5:30 a.m., teaching yoga at 6:30, a skin appointment at 9 and then another training client at 10 but it’s been smooth sailing after I knocked all of that out. No more classes or clients for the day. I’m appreciative for an afternoon off! I met a friend for lunch at Zoe’s and then decided to stop by Target for a few toiletries.
The next thing I knew…
I had been there for 45 minutes and hadn’t made it anywhere but the women’s fitting room. I also hit up the home section pretty hard and replaced things like runners, rugs and doormats.
Target actually had a lot of great stuff today so I thought I would share! I’ll start with the home stuff.
A new door mat. I was in desperate need. I can’t find the link to this one online.
A runner. I threw my last one from Ikea away because it was so worn down. I find I have to replace these a lot with all the dog/people traffic they get. This is the Maples Fretwork Rug.
I also got two new accent rugs for the kitchen in the same pattern to go in front of the stove and the sink. This is the Threshold Floral Bell Rug. I can’t decide whether it’s a keeper or a returner. Thoughts?
Placemats. I feel like I have to change these up a lot because of all the food photography I do. Things start to look repetitive. This is the Threshold Floral Printed Placemat.
Now, onto the fun stuff. Clothes! I’m so not a shopper so a little Target shopping spree is a big deal for me.
I love everything about these shorts…the fit, the length and the color. And they were a steal at just $19.99. I’m going to go back for more! These are the Mossimo Supply Co. Short Shorts.
This is the Mossimo Supply Co. Lace Trim Tank. It comes in several different patterns and colors.
I love, love, love this loose, soft and comfortable tank. So much that I got it in three colors! Coral, black and white. I am going to wear these all summer long around the house, at yoga, running errands, etc. Just $10 a piece! It’s the Mossimo Supply Co. Racerback Tank.
This dress is really soft and cozy. I don’t do much strapless anymore but I thought this would be a great dress to throw on after workouts or yoga to go meet with friends for drinks or brunch. This is the Mossimo Supply Co. Strapless Dress and it’s on sale right now for $15!
Last is this scoop neck pocket dress but it’s not listed online anymore so no link. It has a fun little cut out in the back.
And then after all this shopping I finally made my way over to the toiletries aisle where I purchased vitamins and eye drops. Someone please ban me from going to Target.
Does anyone else get sucked into the Target vortex?
Very cute! I want to pick up a new summer dress for an occasion next weekend so I’ll have to swing by Target and check theirs out.
I call Target the $100 store. Not matter what I go for I can’t seem to get out of there for less than $100. Like you I stock up on cleaning and household supplies ect and always find things I didn’t plan on but have to have!
I love the rugs!! We are getting ready to move to somewhere that has no carpet and all hardwoods so I need to find some great rugs – I am going to have to check out Target!
I actually have to limit my target trips because I go in for 2 things and walk out $100+ later every time!!
I love that bottom dress!!
I had the same experience today went in for a card and a few little things, $115 later lots of new gym clothes, a long cotton skirt, and 2 flowy tanks on clearence and I guess some other things too! Great rugs, such nice colors…Love the outside one!
Yes, every time I go! Even when I go with a list, I come home with at least 5 extra things.
Cute clothes. And I love that threshold line for home goods. Honestly, I usually buy my toiletries at cvs. Even though it costs nearly double, I still spend less time and money overall because there aren’t as many temptations. Sometimes a good target run is just necessary though!
I tell my husband that target pumps something in the air that makes me spend way more money than I ever intend to!
I have to go into Target with a list otherwise I get totally side tracked. One of my client gets so much of her clothing from Target similar to these styles and I never make it over there, but I need too. I love those loose kind of shirts. They’re awesome to put over yoga tops or just wear over a swimsuit, etc. Love that runner too!
I don’t think I’ve ever left Target empty-handed! I’m not a big shopper either but I find that Target has simple, cute clothes that just seem to catch my eye.
Ha I totally agree – the Target vortex is real. Good choices though!
Cute clothes! I actually don’t shop at target that much. I usually only go for household things that I need, like furniture, dishware, etc
I don’t think I’ve ever left Target without spending at least $50. Hence the eye rolling I get from my husband any time I mentioning going there. LOL!
I do get sucked in at target, but usually I come to at some point, put very thing back, and run out with nothing.
smart woman!
The Target Vortex is such a good name for the Bermuda Triangle that is Target’s clothes, shoes, and accessory departments. Which is really how my blog started. Love your finds (and long time lurker of your blog)!
Haha. I got stuck in the vortex all the time at Target. I don’t know what it is there, but it’s pretty crazy. Cute finds!! 🙂
Ugh, happened to me today. At one point, I stopped, looked at all my crap and reevaluated what I really REALLY needed. So I ran around the store putting back all the miscellaneous pillows, wall hangings, stencils, binders, etc. that I had. Walked out with 3 things for $50. Pretty proud of myself!
Cute Cute Cute to everything! I’m going shopping tonight and I think a Target stop is in order…and I think you should keep the rug! 🙂
Wow what cute clothes:) do u mind me asking what size shorts I wanted to order a pair but never tried their junior sizes?
Thank you!
The target vortex sucks me in everytime!! You got lots of cute stuff though!!
Yes! It is IMPOSSIBLE to leave with just the items you went in for. But I love the dresses you picked out – perfect for summer. And who can beat the price?!
I almost got that colorful lace tank; maybe I should go back and get it 🙂
Target is seriously dangerous. I used to live within walking distance to one and it was so, so bad. I love all your home purchases though – I am working on redecorating and think I need to make a stop there! 🙂
I went for sunscreen and bought a new jambox the other day.
Target is the vortex of all vortexes!
Great haul! I have the Floral Bell Rug (giant sized) in my living room and it really hasn’t worn that well and it doesn’t handle the dog hair very well either…but it was under $100 so maybe that’s to be expected. I love the pattern and colours in the rug though, great to brighten up our dark brown floors. Love those shorts too I have black and beige and need to go back and get more!
omg so true about Target!! I have to give myself a little pep talk before i go in! You scored some great pieces though!! Worth it, don’t you think??
Oh and I say keep the rug. I like it!!
Love Target! I never make it out without spending at least $50, even if I was just headed there for toothpaste! Love the first two rugs but the accent rug, something about it.. I would return! Like Oprah says “When in doubt, don’t.” Love those yoga/cozy tanks! I may need to go pick myself up a few. I’m currently wearing a tank similar that has been shrunken, used and abused! Needs a replacement, I’d say!
Have a good day Jen!
Are you using the Cartwheel app? It has helped justify my Target runs 🙂
I went yesterday and saved 20% off sandals and tank tops. The scan feature makes it so easy to save!
Yup its definitely a vortex! I can’t go in without spending at least $100 and I usually only go in planning to buy one or two things.
I picked up a couple pair of the Mossimo shorts in the 5″ inseam yesterday for $12! Super cute. I have a pair of Caslon (Nordstrom) pair that are almost identical to these! And, I picked up the racerback tank as well in a stripe pattern for $5. I am definitely going to go back and pick up another one. And, for that price I won’t feel bad if I don’t want to wear them next season.
How does that racer back tank fit? It looks pretty loose so I can’t decide what size to order!
i usually get a small in mossimo stuff but with this tank had to go XS.
