We had a great Saturday but it was so busy that I never got a chance to sit down and blog about it. When we finally arrived home at 11:30 last night, I pretty much collapsed into bed and fell asleep immediately.
I practiced and taught yoga at Y2 on Saturday morning. I had an early wake up call to attend the 7:30 a.m. super flow class. It had been over a week since I attended a normal led yoga class (and not just practiced ashtanga) so I especially enjoyed it. I left class dripping in sweat and feeling so much better. I came home, showered and ate before heading back to teach.
Plain Greek yogurt with granola, cinnamon, dried cranberries, sunflower butter, peaches, bananas and blueberries.
I convinced Brandon to come to the class that I was teaching. I subbed an hour-long power mixed. Brandon actually has a fairly strong practice. Up until about a month ago he was practicing a couple of times a week but he usually doesn’t attend my classes (which I am okay with!). This past month he kind of got out of the yoga groove but was eager to make his return to the mat. He asked before class if I would make it easy for him…yeah right! ๐ He survived class…barely.
Please look at the position that I found Brandon and Sullie in when I got home from the farmer’s market. I burst out laughing and grabbed the camera. What am I going to do with these two? Someone needs to get his booty back in the studio on a regular basis. Although I’m not sure when I’ll be able to convince him to come to my class again. ๐
I made a quick trip to the Atherton Market after class to stock up on fruits and veggies for the week.
I was pleased with my goods…okra, pattypan squash, corn, bell pepper, cucumbers and blueberries. I got straight to work making a big salad for lunch.
All kinds of good toppings on this salad and dressed with a homemade honey mustard. I just whisked together honey, dijon, plain greek yogurt and a drizzle of olive oil.
Off to a Lululemon goal setting meeting. I have more fun things to update you on later today!
Hahaha! Is that how Sullie was laying or was she in mid stretch? Too cute nonetheless!
Yum, that produce looks so good! I love the squash. Is pattypan similar to acorn?
yes! she stayed like that for a long time. she loves to sleep on her back.
pattypan is more like summer squash than winter! cook/prepare the same way!
Haha your dog reminds me so much of mine ๐
that picture is priceless!!! love it. and that produce – *swoon*!!!
LOL! My hubby is the same way. We ran a 5k yesterday and he showers afterward and then just goes to sleep. Yeah!
I’m all over washing sheets, clothing, cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming. I told him he was a bum. And he didn’t deny it either!
oh brandon fully embraced his bum status! he’s still whining about being sore two days later!
Haha that is how I would look after taking one of your classes!
hahaha! nah…
I love your dog. And I loooove that beautiful summer produce!
My dog lays the same way around the couch. Completely stretched out and looking for belly rubs!
yes! sullie is always begging for love. all you have to say is, “sullie…do you want a belly rub” and she’s belly-up in two seconds flat! ๐
